Icon4s: It depends on what you define patriotism to be Blind unquestionable support for all things Nigerian, there's no point me telling a manager I have a great player when I know he cannot cut it. It's like our top defender Omeruo is considered to be top class. But after leaving youth football he has not made any waves. But we consider him exceptional talent in my opinion he is just about OK nothing more. He played for Middlesbrough but didn't impress and as such the much expected step up to the EPL never happened. So because he is Nigerian, I should hail him as the next John Terry or Sol Campbell 3 Likes |

komekn:haba, oga! Who on this thread has ever considered Omeruo world class or even top class? Biko, sofri sofri with this kain talk. And I wholly agree with icon4s, you only rate players who are English-born, even the German-born guys have been ridiculed by you just because they are not from the UK Of course, you can defend and deny this all you want, but the facts speak for itself. 2 Likes |

Bosz starts with a bang as his led side Borussia Dortmund leads Victor Osimhen's Wolfsburg 3-0 currently. Expecting great things from this manager and we will see how things go. Osimhen still on the bench. |

Joebie: Well from the little I've seen of a few Nigerian players in Belgium. I will go for that Peter Olayinka guy. He's a very serious talent, I was in awe the last week I saw him play. The guy is a destroyer. Dennis doesn't look the real deal to me, I'm sorry if anyone is offended but that's just my opinion. I hope I'm wrong. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 4:14pm On Aug 19, 2017 |
Dortmund has 67% possession, 12 goal attempts, 5 on target. Doing this playing nice interchanging passes. This is the kind of play I want our quality players in. Playing brilliant possessive football during games and training. We will see how the season goes with Bosz and Dortmund. The signs are promising. |

komekn: Who here has ever said Omeruo was top class? The Omeruo you chose to use as example did you not see him progress from U17 through U20 to the Super Eagles? Didn't you see him at the 2013AFCON and 2014WC? What is currently happening to Omeruo happens to most footballers though to various degrees and at different stages in their careers. Are you telling me there are no English born Nigerian players who hit peak early and are currently on a declining curve? Your patriotism is in doubt and I know you can support the English national team when they play against Nigeria especially if they have one or two Nigerians in their line up. 1 Like |

goldfish80: Olayinka has been terrific. Really impressed with him but Bonaventure has gotten more goal so naturally, he will get more attention. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Joebie: 4:39pm On Aug 19, 2017 |
What's your own reason? Bonaventure has also contributed to lots of goals this season and has made the best 11 three times this season. Rumored to be attracting interest from the likes of Man U, City etc. Both players are good. But when you say "more ready" then you have to say what makes one player better than the other. maidaboi: |

BascoVanVeli: Who are those that said Rabiu Ali and Chima Akas should not be in this team. The Eagles have been more imposing but they need that second goal fast. They should also be wary of a slip up at the back. Ezenwa has been on holiday thus far. 1 Like |
