It's as if you guys refuse to keep abreast of developments in Nigeria. Lagos, Ondo and Ghana are all alternatives to ND. The refinery does not need ND.

Why must Dangote build his refinery in the Niger Delta?

what stopped the so called Niger Delta States single or collectively from building a private refinery?just as usual they allow other people to create and build, then tomorrow they will show up and say it belongs to them.

MuMu so called Niger Delta agitators it is because of Hausa and Yorubas the pdp governors of the Niger Delta mismanaged and stole the Monies allocated to us from Abuja?.

We are talking of the likes of Ibori, Late Alams,Peter Odili,Rotimi Amaechi,Uduaghan, okowa, serieke Dickson to mention a few?

It is always easier to blame someone else for your own shortcomings. I blame the stupid and lazy journalist for giving the so called agitator press, because in other climes this is no news.

I thought you are an igbo man.

Can you give me one reason why igbo leaders of youths did not give Hausas same ultimatum to leave the east?

Since you are so brave and ready to fight you should have given the Hausas a shorter ultimatum. Instead your governors and elders travelled to the north to beg and you are here ranting.
Igbos don't issue quit notice, they never have. Juliet is a masculine? Igbos never asked for a fight but a referendum.

You cannot issue quit to the north but you call Yorubas coward for not issuing counter quit notice to Niger Delta. Is that not hypocrisy?

Yoruba didn't ask for a fight either so what's your point?

Igbos are always quick to call yorubas cowards but I'm yet to see any proof of wisdom in all your decisions since 1966. Always in a rush to take the wrong decisions starting with Aguyi ironsi introducing unitary system of government. Same unitary system you are fighting today was introduced by your brother without thinking through the consequences- same thing Ojukwu did, same thing Kanu is doing...

The 13 per cent derivation is not enough. Even the 13 per cent derivation has been going into the wrong hands. The governors in the Niger Delta are even making things worse.

you see the issue.... it is ur political leaders that are the main problem...by the time u get your ND region(that's if it ever happens) u will come to understand the truth... but it will be too late

okay, I just have to quote you to correct this wrong notion that Yoruba s hate ipob , it's actually funny and unbelievable, I think it has to do with your mental state, self esteem and general upbringing, YORUBAS DO NOT HATE IGBOs, need I repeat my self? our feelings towards you range from indifference to amusement, it only graduate to irritation when you start your hate speeches and curses which doesn't affect us in anyway BTW, I wonder what kind of home programming you were given that make you guys like this, an average Yoruba man is too self secured and don't have that tribal mental shackle that make you feel it is you against the world like igbos feel. smh
you can decide to make fun of my words to get likes and shares from your likes, it doesn't matter, what matters is, I have passed the message my instinct pushed me to. I am not your mate in anyway; age wise, financial wise, wisdom wise, etc to be quoting each other. Just ignore the message and continue with your merriment,.only time will tell

Th mouth speaks from the abundance of the heart. When 2 People fight in th north, you quickly blame the ibos. When hausa kills a yoruba, you shout at ibos. Ibos this, ibo that. Why are som pople threatened by ibo presence ?

We from the niger delta know this is just a threat but why not tackle th matter on the ground ? Why call ibos again ?

Fyi, it was divide and rule that was used to seperate us in the south. We r wisr now. There are ibos in rivrs and delta state so a stone thrown at ibos is also thrown at us. The ibos and deltans are one and will ever be. Quote me any day, the nd man prefers the ibos to the yorubas cause they bring us business, yorubas hav nothing to offer us and that's th truth.

Speaking with some northrn frinds early last year, they told mee that they prefered ibo company to yoruba company. You know why ?
According to them, the ibos are business people, th hausa are also business people ( Agric ). The hausas buy a lot from the ibos in kano and lagos market and so do the ibos buy from them. The ibos sell them grains, phons, ... They enjoy a business relationship. According to them, yorubas ar only politically relevant. They need number from the south west to make up theirs. They don't bring anything to their table. When th ibo guys hit money ( legit or not), they run to their bureau de change to change.

As far as trade and commerc is concrned, hausa and ibo have a good Relationship

Thinking on my own, if Nigeria splits, what will the south west bring to the table for trade ? School Certificates ? The saving grac will b the seaport. FYI, the ibos you see today are not Ibos of old. They ar well educatd now. Ever wondred why anambra and enugu kids rank tops in waec ?

Instead of the south west to unite with the rest of the south, ' some ' of their kids come onlin to spill trash.

Militants have given you quit notice, even though we know its a threat, why not com for us directly ? Why shout ibos as if they ar the onees that threatened. As small as you say theeir region is, they ar very productive and are hardly intimidated. I enjoy doing business with them cause I am sure my secrets are intact and they hardly backstabb. Their only weakness is money. Before dealingg with them, put an agreement on paper to avoid unnecessary argument

Fifthcolumnist:

How many industries in the Niger Delta have been destroyed? Have any of the govt refineries been attacked? If the Niger Delta were half as destructive as you paint it, Nigeria would have looked away from crude long ago. Atiku owns Intel conglomerate in the same Niger Delta. The NLNG is in the Niger Delta. In fact all what you have in Lagos are cooperate offices the whole oil industry is based in 4 or 5 states of the ND so the talk of insecurity is bladadash!

Infact laying pipes from the oil fields in the Niger Delta to Lagos is a bigger risk cos if you follow the history of oil violence in the Niger Delta, pipelines are always vandalized at the slightest opportunity. I think dangote choose that location cos of proximity to his intended market: Lagos consumes half of Nigeria's fuel demands and he may be looking at exporting refined products to closer West African countries along the Western border via pipelines

Good point

Who doesnt know it is far economical to build it in ND but that is when their is no grudges on ground. What if he finished building it and the following month your ppl start trouble. Look Dangote is not a small business person. He knows business in and out . So he knows where to invest, When to invest and How much to invest.

They have never destroyed a refinery before and is it sensible to destroy even the pipelines in the first place. The day they will start with the refineries they wont announce it, so prevention is better than cure. It is Wiser not to think of building anything magnanimous like that there else it would bring regret in the future. If pipes are laid from there to Lagos and they decide to bomb pipelines let them bomb it. It is better than bombing the refinery itself where machineries of billions of hard currency worth are planted. After the bombing of pipeline and the government settles the matter with them the pipelines would be repaired. That is grossly better.

And even by your point you have cancelled the arguement of saying its wrong for him to have the idea of building the refinery in Lagos.

Nigeria belongs to all from Lagos to Niger Delta.
Lets live in peace

If you truly believe in One Nigeria of which the SS belongs why invest in laying pipes all the way to Lagos, when you could just do it in the environment where you source your material?

Assumption is the lowest level of intelligence, did dangote group tell you that I will lay pipeline from ND to Lagos? If the ND refuse to sell crude to the refinery the company can get it elsewhere isn't that simple? Please learn to get the right info before dabbling into issues

Only dim-witted dummies like you and them reason and talk the way you talk. Before the oil was discovered, how were the Niger Delta sustained ? Was it not from revenues from other regions ? The money used for exploration, drilling, etc, did not come from them. They contributed nothing until the oil started to flow. Does it not look stupid and primitive for them to now be claiming "our oyel" ? Mention anywhere in the world where communities in their shoes make such shameful claims. In those days of Cocoa, Groundnut pyramid and Coal, the yoruba, hausa and igbo never claimed "our cocoa, groundnut and coal", did they ? What did these buffoons contribute then ? Nothing.
