You know I like to stick to the Rohr era in these discussions. Because he is still the coach. And the most likely thing to happen is what he has been doing with SE TheGoodJoe: |

TheGoodJoe:Bring his dribbling statistics. Let's see the numbers and make analysis. Iheanacho - bad control per game - 1.2 The quoted are real numbers. Bring something like that to match your point or hold your peace. |

goldfish80: From a forum member on Bluemoon over whoscored and you want me to the you seriously. Whoscored has made it clear that he is a strong dribbler. Whether you like it or not is not my business. Bye yo. |

Joebie: In the Rohr era, we are still a passing team over a long ball direct route. Unless you have not watched us play under Rohr. |

TheGoodJoe:That forum member actually pulled his stats as you can see. Bring your own stats to put his stats to shame. Is that too hard to handle? Bring his stats to support your claims of his dribbling abilities. Iheanacho - bad control per game - 1.2 Bring numbers to counter this. |

TheGoodJoe:my bro, you are right and wrong at the same time because creativity, speed et al will only work on standard football pitch and on our bumpy African pitches |

goldfish80: Which stat are you seeing there concerning dribbling. All those one is story. You and I know whoscored are pretty accurate whether you like it or not. Whoscored proved you wrong. Move on. |

zuchyblink: If you are talking us using a direct approach because from your suspicion we would play on a terrible pitch, I can agree with you. However, there is no fact to support that case and we have been passing on different pitches across Africa. 1 Like |

I've not said the contrary if you understood my post clearly. I'm saying let's argue based on the reality. There is some aspects of physicality in our game still. This is our best game in the Rohr era, in my opinion. Victor Moses was the tormentor in chief. If I must sit on the fence analyzing that game, I would say Algeria troubled us. They missed some sitters. But a win is a win. We have not arrived at all. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y_m64ISLoAM TheGoodJoe: |

Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 1:23pm On Aug 21, 2017 |
Joebie: I wonder who said we have arrived. One of the common term thrown here is that we are still building. Rohr is not long in the job. The fact remains that we are more of a creative team than a physical one. |

Good so don't write-off teams. That's what I call arrogance. If we were actually dominating teams, at least I will say that arrogance can be backed up. Most of the time -- if not all the time -- we can't back up our arrogance. We just make noise. TheGoodJoe: |

Joebie:It was sleek play and swift passes that we used to overcome Zambia in Ndola. Go watch some of the highlights again. Go also watch Nigeria Vs Cameroon at the 2004 AFCON quarter final. Go watch also Nigeria Vs Ivory Coast at the 2013 AFCON quarter finals. As long as Mikel is in that AM position. I call him the orchestrator. He knows what to do with the ball and the attackers know how to play with him. The Cameroon game would not be easy. But I am not loosing sleep over it. 4 Likes |

zuchyblink: Hehehehe. Football is for the best players. Not based on Men or boys. Messi was still a teenager when he became one of the best in the World. Same with Ronaldo De Lima. Mikel was still young when he started playing for the Super Eagles. So it is not by age. |

goldfish80: When ever you make such comment as "City has coached the skills out of Iheanacho" I just laugh. Let him go and play with the U17s now and we'll know if City has coached the skills our of him or not. Some of you guys fail to realize that playing at senior level is a lot more demanding than playing at U17 or U20 levels. You expect Iheanacho to still dominate defences just the way he did at U17? 3 Likes |

Mickael2:I thought Etebo was a CM/CAM?? Even if we were to play him on the left, where does Vic Moses play?? On the right? I mean it's not a bad idea having a front 3 of him, Iheanacho and Vic Moses with Iwobi as a 10 with Mikel and Onazi/Ndidi/Agu as pivots but the question is if he's going to be able to make those runs someone like Musa does from the flanks |

edi287: Etebo has hardly ever played as the CM or CAM for his club, he is not a natural passer if the ball at all. Etebo is the kind of LWF that runs the whole ninety minutes and you are sure he can score too. we play a 4-2-3-1, we do not have a front three, just a lone striker up top with five midfielders |
