I spoke to the director of the consulting firm in my Uni. He said that age appears on all transcripts they send out. they are the ones charged with the responsibility of sending the transcripts from the university to wherever its meant to go. i am super worried. i would like them to use the age on my international passport. 5Kay: I guess they had given you a copy of the transcript. Well, it will affect your ECA. ECA report carries the DOB of the applicant. From experience WES and IQAS had been known to choose the one on the transcript even though you might have filled a different DOB on their application form. I am in the same shoe as you. There is not much of an advice anyone can give. Unless you can somehow effect the change in DOB from your institution and then get a new transcript across to IQAS. |

5Kay: All I can tell you is don't be super worried. Either you follow my advice above or you use what you have. Nothing is perfect. Be positive Dotcman: You can try the twitter option @ngBritish |

linuslynx: 1. This does not affect your application in any way. Not unless you lie about it. 2. noc 6235 seems to be perfect. It depends on your role actually. Check these too 0122, 1434, 1114 2 Likes |

Thanks Bimpsy99. I second this advice and even for LL.B holders, using IQAS is not a must. WES evaluation can be used to claim professional degree, I will post further on this when I can attach CIC's position. IQAS is a no no going by their recent trend..sigh Bimpsy99: |

Dotcman: Trying to contact British council via phone calls, email or any of their social media platforms is a waste of precious time. They are still in the stone age. Its best for you to find time to go there if you can. It will be sorted out on the spot. 2 Likes |

@DatechMan and 5kay... I have actually been a silent reader hoping not to go back to ghost mode. If you search for Ugoiyke you will find where he answered someone on this same question....even if it appears on the ECA, you can fill in the DOB on your passport and write an LOE explaining to the VO the discrepancy, you can also add a sworn affidavit in addition if it makes you more comfortable DatechMan: |

Hi guys, My "additional docs are still being reviewed" when background, eligibility and final decision have been concluded (see attachment). Just to remind you all not to be bothered about CIC updates. It might still be showing NA2 when Background check is already on. The important thing to wait on is the PPR mail and it will come soon.... To all those waiting.... It is well 17 Likes

linuslynx: For a start, please keep a positive mindset. To answer your questions: 1. Visa denials, however many, don't really affect your chances at all as long as you are honest about them in your application. Exception may be if you were denied on criminal suspicion or fraudulent grounds. So I guess you don't have a problem there. 2. I think your job duties as a banker will likely fall under NOC 0. Please check job titles under that code that have similar job duties. Once your job duties match about 70%, you're good to go. There are several bankers just like you on this thread who already have PPR or PR visas and I'm sure a few will throw in some useful tips for you. Oga, u no get problem at all. 2 Likes |
