I don't blame those seeking to derail this thread with their tribal nonsense. Instead, ignore them and watch them drown in irrelevance. Omoluabi l'awa! 2 Likes |

You should be ashamed of urself for this.I checked ur profile to see what you look like cos ur kind are ALWAYS ugly as Bleep but surprisingly I found your dp is the pic of Busayo Ladapo(a YORUBA lady). Wonder how many gullible dudes you've scammed with the lady's pic.Goes to buttress what we all know already that beauty is a scarce trait in igboland. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Thank God for my tribe and family. 4 of my older ones i call them by name even over 10years older. Even after they haf born. The respect is still there...not negotiable. Yorubas can call you aunty and insult your destiny. Kuku call me by name. We don't kuku do "mummy Junior" or "mama Junior" after you have a child. We believe you still have an identity whether or not you have kids. My mum calls her inlaws by name too. Greeting an elderly person is by hugging...no kneeling or prostrating. It is not a sign of respect for us(i tried it with my dad once and he thought i was not ok). They embrace you. Yoruba older people expect me to kneel and greet. I only courtesy. It is not my culture mbok. 2 Likes 1 Share |

A bride must not call any of her husband's family member by their name. She refers to even a toddler as brother this or aunty that. This is fast changing tho'. |

ImaIma1:You must be either igbo or Ibibio/Efik. Kneeling or prostrating is not a sign of respect. It is just the way yoruba culture interprete courtesy. Absence of kneeling is not synonymous to direspect. I prefer not kneeling down for any human in the name of courtesy. |

justbusy: Now that's the problem! When I said I'm Oodua, it simply means I'm Yoruba. I'm not fighting for Oodua Republic. People doing that knows themselves, and I'm not a part of it. Same with people fighting for Biafra. I am first of all Nigerian, before my ethnic. That's why I clearly said "Proudly Nigerian". |
