Amen....the case is just serious...got a today and stated thus: Your case is still under review; this type of processing can sometimes involve several different sections and can take several months or longer. The unit completing the administrative processing does not always have full control of the timing involved. We understand your concerns and will contact you when we are able to proceed. We appreciate your patience as we undergo this process. Sincerely, |

My brother my passport dey my hand jare. I have never seem nor heard this kind of stuff b4. I have never ever stepped by feet out of the shores of this country b4. Not even @benin republic. It just an unfortunate situation and its seriously killing my morale. Went for interview 1st Aug. After a successful interview, the VO excused himself, brought another old looking man with whom they were discussing about my data fron jis screen for almost 8 mins. I was given a white paper ticked administrative processing. Was explained by the VO that they wanna do check. I obliged. 2 days later , got an email of some series of security questions whether I have left this country to LIBERIA, and list my siblings names and if I was trained or took part in one military drill to the other and where I was certain time between 2004-06 ( I competed high school at 04. Then jamb), and should answer with proofs which I obliged and sent. I just weak cos all these data match no concern me at all and as an engineer , working currently as maintenance engineer, I kept asking myself, At least they ought to have the finger print of whoever they are trying to track .....wetin come concern innocent person like me...I am not happy of this kind of delay. God will c me through in Jesus name 7 Likes |

F1 VISA APPLICATION DENIED AUG 23 2017 TRANSCRIPT BELOW PLEASE ANALYSE AND ADVISE PROFILE: Applied for F1 Visa Undergraduate level 2013 December and 2014 January ( BOTH DENIED) VO: Good morning, can you pass your Passport? Me: Yes sure. (passed my passport containing my I-20 and Sevis ) VO: What are you going for? Me: I am going for my Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in Public Management VO: Where is this school you applied to? (staring at my I-20 intensely) Me: Shepherd University is in Shepherdstown West Virginia ( discovered later on my way home that it's Martinsburg WV which is the location of the graduate studies that's written on my I-20) VO: How many schools did you apply to? ME: I researched on few schools and once I made my decision I applied to Shepherd University VO: (Cuts in) How many schools did you apply to? Me: 1 VO: Did you write GRE or GMAT Me: No, it was not required for admission in Shepherd University VO: So why do you want to Study MBA? Me: As a Computer Scientist and an aspiring entrepreneur, I believe acquiring a standard business education is essential prior to kick starting my entrepreneurial career. MBA will help me understand the intricacies of Business and also expose me to Business models and Successful business practices which I can utilize in my entrepreneurial career. VO: Ok. What's your highest educational degree? ME: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science VO: When did you complete your BSc Me: Last year 2016 VO: What I do not understand is how you completed your degree in two years. ME: *confused* Actually Computer Science is a 3years program in the Republic of Benin VO: But it states you were here 2014 Me: Yes but I resumed Feb 2014 that's 3years ( honest but still confused myself at that point) VO: So why Shepherd University? Me: Well it has an amazing resource that's just established called Center for Regional Innovation. This gives a physical space that offers office amenities to support Internship and Research. With this students can now do their internships on campus with companies off campus without having the need to commute and also attend classes easily. Students will also be imbibed in the culture of collaborative learning and creative inspiration. All these factors made Shepherd University a perfect fit for my entrepreneurial goal. VO types for a while..like she's been doing all through the interview.. possibly taking notes of our conversation..this point my mind was blank.. didn't know what to expect. VO: thank you for you interest bla bla bla (you know the rest of the sad lines) Me: Sighed in disappointment again... Hit by Tricycle at Ikeja..just smiled in thanksgiving that I didn't break a leg (lol no pun intended) |

LagosismyHome:. Thank you Let me break it down now! I explained to my Undergrad school I couldn't wait for September Intake. Undergrad school gave me an option to start from 2nd semester Feb 2014 provided I do my first semester during Summer which I did. So I did 3 semesters in 2014 (Feb 2014, Summer Semester and Sep 2014) , did two semesters in 2015 ( Feb 2015 and Sep 2015) Did my final semester in 2016 ( Feb 2016 [ Final Year 2nd Semester] ) Total of 6 semesters for 3years Program. On my Transcript, it's stated 2013/2014 session Year of Entry: 2013 (General Year of Entry for 2013/2014 session even if I didn't start 2013 Sep First semester and was in Nigeria at that time which the Embassy is fully aware) QUESTION: 1. I understand the easy mixup.. what do I do? School Year of Entry for all 2013/2014 students is 2013. I started 2014 and made up for first semester during Summer (which is used for students with Carry-overs and Late resumptions like me) 2.What else do you think might have been the problem looking at my transcript? Thanks for reading through and helping. |

etudiant:truth is, Most American schools (the ok ones) require 4 year bachelor degrees(They are very strict with this rule) , that is why they always give a caveat about Indian school on their admissions page, since they award 3 year bachelor degrees. It would be very hard to convince anyone with a less than 4 year undergrad degree. 3 Likes |

LagosismyHome: Thank you once again 4 months per semester Total Course Duration should be 2years 11months recognized as 3years degree program. I made up for September 2013 first semester during my Summer break. I registered my first semester courses in Summer Semester(which was solely for students with carry-overs) and made up which was a recommended option from my Undergrad Institution. I am aware that BSc in Nigeria is based on the USA Education model and it takes 4years to complete. However, the education system in the Republic of Benin is based on the British model which takes three years to complete. I don't think because it's three years should take the credibility of the program. PS it takes 12 months to complete Grad school in Uk as opposed 2years in the USA. I also had my Credentials evaluated by WES as requested by my Grad School in the USA. With the aim to evaluate my degree as equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s degree thus my admission approval after Evaluation and official report sent to the Grad school. 1 Like |

DeeTus:Hating? What /who? For what reason? Austrians became USA visa exempt in 1991 and I guess that to you is "some years ago"? If you have been born then, how old were you.? You goofed when you say, your uncle has Austrian passport "some years ago" and was craving for American visa. Finally i don't get the relevance of the bolded to the issue raise. EZEIGBO1OFIMO: Thank you for your response Please note the 3years degree is not just about Indian schools. This is the standard Bachelor's duration in the United Kingdom and other countries including India. Bsc 3yrs in the United Kingdom and 4yrs in the USA MBA takes 1yr in UK and 2years in the USA. Doesn't take the credibility of those programs thus the need for Evaluating Companies as requested by some USA higher Institutions. PS "ok schools" accept 3years International BSc Carnegie Mellon University Darden School of Business, University of Virginia Northwestern University Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth The University of North Carolina at Charlotte Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania Whitman School of Management, Syracuse University Zicklin School of Business, Baruch College The list goes on. Moreso Shepherd University was founded in 1871.. I'd like to know why you think it's not an "Ok" school. Maybe I misconstrue |

etudiant: The british model is not just 3 years .... after secondary school they go to A level college for an intensive a level program. Have u seen what it takes to get an A to get into a good program in the Uk .... some program accept one year foundation but most program it is 2 years A level .. So british system is not a 3 years program after secondary school . It really 2 years in A.level college and then 3 years in university 3 Likes |
