Why would they choose to pray on sunday instead of whole week? Muslims pray Five times a day not just friday or sunday.

Islam is for the whole world not for only northerners

While it could be largely said that the OP erred in this post, some truth can be deduced therein.

1.Muslims are to Pray 5 times per day, no breaks!

2.Muslims are to pray in congregation Every Friday Afternoon (except the exempted)

3.Some Yoruba Muslims erroneously go to Asalatu or ''Religious gathering'' on Sunday but this is not the recommended Prayer in 2/3 above.

4.It may be true that some Hausas think they are superior to the Yorubas in Islamic Knowledge. But this is caused by shear ignorance. Tribalism is anti-Islam and a tribalist is not a good Muslim.

Who cares about op. Who cares about hausas and yorubas. That's their problem.

Daily worship has time limit. Other religious activities and gatherings have no specific time or limit except where necessary. That's a matter of ijtihad depending on circumstances. It doesn't have to be prescribed. Quran ayat and many as hadith cover for that.

Example is International Quran Competition. It is a gathering not prescribed in Islam but covered by virtues of Islam.

But they can not hold jumah salat on Sunday if that's what you mean by worship?. There is room in Islam for other Islamic gatherings.
