TWoods: Thank you for your response I'd like to know why you think I am unserious because I applied to Shepherd University which it's College of Business is among 61 Public Universities and Colleges to be awarded by College of Distinction USA. With your reasons to your assertion of me being an unserious student, I'd be able to know what to do to better my chances next time which is most important. Regards 8 Likes |

LagosismyHome: Thank you for your response Duration completing an A-level doesn't count as Duration to complete a degree in the UK. With the required credentials I can firmly tell you it takes 3years to complete a BSc (Hons) in England. " In England, Wales and Northern Ireland an honors degree is typically completed over a three-year period, though there are a few intensified two-year courses (with less vacation time). Bachelor's degrees (without honors) were typically completed in two years for most of the twentieth century. " -- Wikipedia England Institutions take 3years to complete a BSc. Imperial College of London 3yrs BEng Computing The University of Queensland 3yrs Bachelor of Information Technology The List goes on.... Please advise on what can change my status prior to reapplying... Thanks |

Hello everyone, I've been on this platform for awhile and I must say it has been really helpful. I applied for an MBA program for October this year and my interview is slated middle sept. I just have a few questions and I don't know if anyone in the house can help. First of, my uncle here in Nigeria is sponsoring me, and he has an ending balance of 16m. Is any of this going to be an issue? Also I chose IGlobal university in Virginia... does anyone know it? Secondly, my first degree was in arts, now I want to make a total switch to MBA... is that an issue too? Last question, my uncle is sponsoring both myself and my brother at the same time... what do you advise guys.... And for the ones looking for people to troll, note that your opinion isn't needed but if you feel the need to show your immaturity, be my guest. 1 Like |

etudiant: This my last response .... imperial college go and check their requirement to enter... it is your gcse result and A level result . Students in Uk all attend a 2 year college before University . Yes it might not be listed as the duration but its a mandatory requirement in the Uk to enter after you finish your A level or foundation .... it might not be stated as you have mentioned because its a given In the Uk you cannot enter directly from secondary school and complete a bsc in 3 years post secondary 1 Like |

etudiant: The year a school was founded doesnt tell all the story neither is it an indication of a good or ok program. .... what you need to check is the quality of the program you want to attend . Although the school is over 100 years it has 265 number of post graduate students. If it was ok or good for masters wont it have more post graduate student ? Also Shepherd University MBA was accredited in 2015 ... just 2 years ago ... . Your research should lead you on whether its an ok program . The Vo might not think it is ...if i were you since you had 3 delay i would only go back with a more quality program 1 Like |

Fenix: Well one reason people go to community college is because it's comparatively affordable. I recently met a fellow doctoral guy who is from the state our school is located and he has been attending community colleges for this same reason I believe. Our school is the first proper university he is attending. |

Fenix: Sorry about your bad experience with Qatar Airways. Your journey sounds so long comparing it to mine with Royal Air Maroc. It was 4hrs from Lagos to Casablanca and 7 hrs from Casablanca to NY, totaling 11 hours which equals the time for one leg of your journey. Congrats and please get some rest. |

oduzbaba89: For the most part, you do not need official transcript to apply for admission. Students copy or Online copy will do. You send official transcript only to schools that have accepted you. Best of luck! 1 Like |

LagosismyHome: This is my Last Response I do not know what you mean by the 2year college before University--I wouldn't comment so I don't misconstrue. Entry Requirement to Imperial College or Most Uni in the United Kingdom NCUK Northern Consortium UK is an entry requirement and it's from Sep- June 10months GCE A Level 10months Chrisland College - Lagos Nigeria Cambridge College - Lagos Nigeria Oxbridge College - Lagos Nigeria Kings London -- United Kingdom In addition with your IELTS for International Students. with this, you can gain admission to any 3yrs Institution in the UK except you required to do a foundation program for a year. You see I said 3years. PS we went off course. I need advice on my Visa chances not debate on British educational system which you clearly do not know much about. Regards |

etudiant: Isnt the above what i have been saying..... when you finish secondary school that exam is GCE O levels result , after that students go to a 2 years program / college to get and seat for an A level which is an entry requirement Advanced Level, A-levels come after secondary school GCSEs hence why their degrees are 3 years because students do a 2 years advance college program before the 3yrs |

LagosismyHome: I just had to reply to this. Only a few graduate courses have more than 20 graduate students, with the majority in the 9-14 graduate student range (the ideal for student learning with a degree of diversity of thought and depth of education–in other words, just enough and not too many!) Having more PG students will be of what benefit? MBA program was founded in 2005 under the accreditation of HLC (1850) and recently received specialized accreditation for its business programs from International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE) 2015. Going back with a "more quality program" . Well thank you so much.. I'd research more on other quality Business schools if that was an issue with my Visa Delay Regards |

LagosismyHome: No we not saying the same thing. If you finish from for example Chrisland College Lagos, you only need 10 months to do your A-Level. 2.5million naira. Pass it and you will be in a UK university doing a 3yr program. Regards |

etudiant: You applied to just 1 school - a school with over 90% acceptance rate and one that did not ask you for a GMAT/GRE? That really isn't a serious school... that sounds more like a visa mill... simply taking advantage of desperate international "students" looking for a route to immigrate to the US. The easiest way to assess your educational bonafides is the quality of program you got accepted into and the number of schools that were seeking to admit you. In both cases you flunked badly. It doesn't help that you've been denied 2ce before. 5 Likes 1 Share |
