It depends on the purpose of your visit. You have not stated your purpose of visit here. Because of your age, it will take a very strong and convincing travel reason for you to get a visit visa. The VO also looks at your Proof of funds. josafunmi: |

Liz2014: hello Liz2014, Cant an invite letter serve as a purpose of visit? as in a friend or family member inviting you to come and spend some time and go back, isnt it enough as a purpose of visit?, if its not enough i will love gurus in the house to give more clarity on the purpose of visit. |

mesh2003:Please I want to know.. When does the processing time starts counting, d day u submitted or after biometric? Let's assume an application was submitted May n biometric wasn't done until July(cos d biometric fee wasn't paid until then). Please how does this affect an application? I will appreciate honest answers. Thanks |

Next01: Processing time counts from the day your application is complete(biometrics and all required documents submitted). In my mums case, I assume the day she did her bio-metrics. I did online application. |

Well, my mum did biometrics on the same day she submitted at the Lagos office, which was on the 19th. Do you know of a phone number they can respond to? I have sent them an email but no reply. mesh2003: |

I have sent them an email but no reply. [/qu The best way is via email. There is no phone number to follow up with. I sent an email. The first time I got an automated response. The 2nd time they told me it had been approved and would get a passport request letter the next day and I did. |

olumig: You can try but few people I know were all denied based on "immigration status in country of application". You are not a legal resident of a country if you are on a visiting visa. You can apply online and submit your passport if approved in any Canadian embassy in the US with permission from Accra. 1 Like |
