You obviously missed the point that he took Real to two consecutive UCL semifinals. These were their first semifinal appearances after 6 consecutive years of being eliminated in the round of 16. When Mou took over at Madrid, they were far from being one of the strongest sides in Spain, not to talk of Europe.
