Have you tried calling today? I haven't heard of this long before. I have heard of 24 - 48 hrs. Got mine within 3 mins of submission on a weekend.

Called yday and the agent said he could see my application.

I called some few minutes ago and the agent I spoke to confirmed that she could see my payment. That my application could fall into the ones that will take 5 days because they are overwhelmed at the moment. But she sent me an email wth instructions to follow if I don't get it after 5 days. I have also reported a technical issue on my profile

Thanks for sharing this.

In view of this development, intending applicants may consider ICES as an alternative to IQAS. Those who attended universities that are known for responding swiftly to verification may consider WES.

baba @40manlappy, IQAS has double cross me as they quickly send me a mail this evening (approx 3hrs after my call) acknowledging d receipt of my application form and assigned me a file number so that I won't be able claim my refund. See oyinbos dey play fast one on me naija man.

It will cover both if you're using WES. Why not just go to WES website and try to register/start ur ECA(for IRCC) application, at the end your bill/invoice will be generated and you may decide to make payments immediately or save your application and log out to come back to make payments when you're ready.

Thanks for this update. I dey port go ICES straight up. BTW, do you think I will get a full refund of the $200 as I have only received their first acknowledgement of receipt of my statement of result?

I doubt it cos d lady said u can only get refund if ur application is yet to be entered into their system that is yet to be assigned file number . So I guessed them acknowledging ur statement of result means ur application has been keyed into their system and assigned file nos.
I was assigned FN approx 3hrs after calling them meaning I can't claim my refund anymore. U see smartness.

Hello everyone,
I wish to find out how long it takes for a passport to be stamped in Ghana and sent back to me in Nigeria. I will be travelling to Cameroon soon and want to take that into consideration when planning my trip.
Thanks in advance

Okay.

So I sent them a mail today to ask about getting a full refund after canceling, and I got this feedback from them.

Based on the bolded, I think one can still cancel and get a full refund despite having a file number.

Abi, wetin you think?

Dear *****,

Thank you for your enquiry.

Please submit a request to cancel your application, in writing with a signature, either by fax or mail. The IQAS fax number is 780-422-9734.

Provided that your assessment has not already been completed, we refund everything except for the courier fee which is retained in order to return all documents.

If you paid online, a refund will be issued to your credit/debit card. If you paid with cheque, bank draft or money order, a cheque will be issued and sent to you by mail. Please allow for approximately 6 weeks for the refund to be received.

If you have further questions regarding an IQAS assessment, you can contact the IQAS office at 1-780-427-2655 or visit our website: https://www.alberta.ca/iqas-immigration.aspx.

Kind Regards,

Hello guys, nice job being done here and congrats to all that have attained one level of success or the other in this process. May God make all things good for us all.

I have been on and off this thread. Tried catching up two days ago only to find Part 1 closed shocked My inconsistency can be attributed to my preference for Aussie over Canny but from the present look of my circumstances, I may just have to do both simultaneously.

In view of this, please I would like to get clarity on which is a preferred option for ECA having bagged my masters from the UK. WES or ICES? Also, I'll appreciate reason(s) for the preference. Cheers.

Since your Masters is from the UK, it means your university will respond pretty quickly to WES enquiry. So WES is surely the better option.

Thanks guys @ codebrew85.

Would this preference of yours be based on the prestige and long standing name, WES?
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 2 by Nobody: 11:36pm On Aug 25, 2017
My preference wasn't based on any long standing name or prestige that WES might have other than the fact that WES and schools 'in the abroad' roll well together. As in , there won't be any delay in verification by the school as cochtrane pointed out. Also, they tend to process ECA within 21 working days.

How long does it take ICAS to prepare a comprehensive post secondary assessment report. They stated 20weeks on their site but I was wondering if by anyone here's experience it'd been shorter!

Am wondering if could be added to any WhatsApp group on Canada or immigration

MummyJaygirls Hi...well done to you and all the elders in the house for all the assistance. Please do you think one can collect the letter of reference from HR from a company they previously worked way before they even enter the pool? Is it advisable? Fear being that current HR Team makeup are quite understanding but no one knows if HR Team may change by the time one gets ITA?
