Hello Seniors, The food pictures are tempting ooo (salford1#weydonsah)!, intelligent conversation too... I see most convo is around IT, Engineer, Doctors etc. We (spouse&myself) are project mangers in the Banking industry with PMP & Six Sigma Black belt. i notice whilst researching jobs on most sites, Project Managers jobs is more titled towards construction industry or IT. What other courses can one do e.g. bridging courses/ short courses to further help us upon landing us ( so we too can quickly buy house like TheCongo2....lol)? 1 Like |

Issyman: It's the same process as someone with ACCA. Only that you won't get as much exemption as someone with ACCA. You will however, get more exemptions than someone with only BSc Accounting. I know ICAN is in talks with CPA to increase the exemptions for ICAN holders. Each province has their own CPA website too. But I think the first step is to register and send all transcripts to CPA. I hope this helps. |

In as much as I avoid getting into conversations that aren't my biz, I just could not let this pass. I feel it's totally wrong to insult her becos of her opinion. To a large extent, it's her life n she has the right to use whatever metric to measure all that concerns her. I feel the info she provided isn't enough to judge her to this extent Moreover, how are u sure the guy is not in the relationship 4 the material gains. It's very common now in Nigeria becos of the economy downturn. Young guys looking 4 wealthy daughter to carry the financial burden. As view her as a cash cow (I'm not saying that is the case here). Moreover as a father, if a daughter brings home a man, u will want to consider his future plans n prospects. However, I will advise she discusses with him n plan on how they can improve his "educational issues" if that is the only pending issue. Pls dont castigate her, lets be kind to one another ... https://alis.alberta.ca/occinfo/ https://www.workbc.ca/labour-market-industry/jobs-in-demand/top-occupations.aspx http://www1.gnb.ca/0105/op-pp/opAZ.aspx This link has a list of occupations in Alberta. BC and New Brunswick. It includes demand average, the average pay and other details. I think other provinves may have this same info but I only checked the above as they are my target province. This should help with all the confusion about career path or switching careers. You can also check other provinces for this info. I got all this from the official govt websites of the respective provinces. 14 Likes 9 Shares |

Hello, if I get you right, are you saying that with I CAN someone can start CPA in Canada? I have a friend in Alberta and she thinks it is not possible to start CPA with I CAN hence she started school so that she earn BSc Accounting and do CPA with the certificate. kindly shed light on this. Thank you. honey86: |

Hephgirl:That is the problem. No guarantee. And without completing residency, no practicing. Hephgirl:hmm, I don't know of any particular one, I guess it depends on the requirements of the side job, as most of the jobs require one certification or the other. 1 Like |

Alikote:Bros, she didn't say if his degree is from UK, leaving that aside, we all have choices. They are not married and now is the time to consider every single thing and make a right choice. Shebi there are men specifically looking for nurses or doctors etc. I can tell you that before 500level medical school most of the girls are married, and that is because the men see them as good prospects, easy to get a job thereby reducing the financial stress. I am sure you married/will marry a graduate, why not marry a woman with no education because she's kind. We are all entitled to our wants. Sorry for the epistle. 25 Likes 1 Share |

Waoh!! These my nairaland peeps are funny o. I honestly do not think she has asked anything wrong, like seriously!! We all get to that stage in a relationship when you reflect and consider what the future holds for the relationship. Pls free Nicole o, and Nicole, if you reading this, Wura's advice is the best, forget all those condemning you, i see you as being realistic rather than being materialistic. You said your man is a great person, you guys should talk abt it... I am sure, things will fall in place. One thing i have noticed abt this canny relocation thingy is that, there is career flexibility.. do your thorough research together. God bless Wura and others for giving a warm advice, and those who were quick to condemn, na wa for una o.... 11 Likes |

Alikote:This is very very disgusting!!! Seriously? Haba, so all of a sudden she'll turn 40 without a husband because she wants a man that matches her in career? Talk about inferiority complex. Men like you make women feel like their highest achievement is marriage. It's her life and she has every right to make the decisions in it without being judged by your type of man. What is wrong in a woman worrying about the future of her husband to be? When it's time for mortgage, will you pay it for them? Smh! 23 Likes 2 Shares |
