Catelyn was not even offended about the cheating but the constant reminder that he cheat. If your gf cheated on you and you forgave her, how will you like it if she brought up the memories she had with the other guy every time?

He was a living breathing reminder of her husband's infidelity. . . . . It's easy to forgive and love Ned, but to get cozy and show love to the product of his affair living amongst her children and even looking more Stark than most of her children, that would be too difficult for even the most pure-hearted women.

Besides she had a duty to love Ned and bear him children, she had absolutely no duty to a lowly bastard.

Either way, Cat was eventually sorry for how she treated Jon so it's all good.

All this talk about reminders and all that is complete horseshit, matter of fact, anytime she remembers, she is supposed to hate Ned not snow, but she remembers and still loves him unconditionally.... She was the only mum Jon knew, how can you train a child from infancy to adulthood and still detest him because your husband cheated 2 decades ago??
