That you don't know komekn is only pro-England says it all. Further cements my observation that the tribalism tag is all projection.
is England not foreign? A person being pro-England, does it no mean pro-foreign?

That you haven't noticed me continually say Komekn likes 'borough' players cements my observation that you have not been following this thread judiciously...

Lol.. You just spoke like a foreigner observing Nigerian football from his country.
Like you don't know being homebased prejudices one from playing for the Super Eagles, no matter how good they are.

Take it from someone who have watched the said player for a while. No player invited by Rohr in view of playing the RB position can match Okoro's skills, power and work ethic down that right flank.

Bros I respect your opinion!! There is more to a RB position than having skills and power!!, you need to know how to read the game well defensively!!Even Shehu we are just managing him there. He is a lil poor at reading offside traps set by defenders..can u guarantee this Okoro guy can measure up to standard in such a game..

Everything in Nigeria is always different,if its posibu, its better to av our team selected from just ONE FAMILY in Nigeria and achieve geometric SUCCESS Dan picking Randomly from all d states in Nigeria
What we are after is d SUCCESS/ACHIEVEMENT of the team, dts all,who Cares where d player comes from,if u re good fine.this is a foreign manager, not local

Dembele to Storm Barcelona on Sunday

Dembele

French winger, Dembele who has reportedly sealed his dream move to the Catalan giant will be traveling down to Spain for medicals and paperwork.

Dembele
Barcelona have reached an agreement to sign Borussia Dortmund forward Ousmane Dembele for a club-record fee, Sky Sports reports.
The 20-year-old France international forward is due to arrive in Barcelona on Sunday and will undergo a medical on Monday before signing a five-year contract. He has been given squad number 11.
A Barcelona statement read, “FC Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund have reached an agreement for the transfer of Ousmane Dembele for €105m (£97m) plus add-ons. The player will sign a five year contract and his buy out-clause is set at €400m.”
The fee is the second highest of all time, behind just the £200m PSG paid Barcelona for Neymar earlier this summer, and the add-ons in the deal are up to 40 per cent of the initial fee, which equates to €42m.
Barca coach Ernesto Valverde is thrilled to have landed Dembele and said, “He is a player who guarantees us depth, something that we have lost and that we need. He can play on the wing and also as a striker, and in that sense offers us many possibilities. He is fast, deep, technical and we hope he brings us many things.”
Dembele is the first attacking player Barca have bought since Neymar’s departure, the La Liga side having had several bids for Philippe Coutinho rejected by Liverpool.

I don't care what anyone says, as long as he continues to make biased calls, I will keep pointing out the obvious.

Now that emotion has taken over you, calm down and talk with facts and sense. Wetin de sup wit all of una?

Abeg free this man called Forgiveness. He hasn't done anything worth crucifixion.

Everybody is entitle to their opinions. The truth of the matter is that practically everyone here is guilty of 'favouratism/nepotism or whatever you call it and this is often glaring in most line-ups and list we put up here and that's why we'll never agree on certain things.

We all tend to like one player than the other which is because we're humans.

Forgiveness undoing is because he makes is own glaring. We have folks here who root for Garba Manu's boys and left to them they should be form the bulk of the present SEs, they'll even go all the way to defend them, others anglo-nigerians anything it is sub quality to them and so on. We all have our preferences-it is as simple as that.

If they refuse to change their opinions or perception about some issues and you deem it fit not to see their post through their very own lenses there is nothing bad in skipping such posts or take them lightly and just let it past.

Football is an Emotional sports. Often times we all allow our emotions to control our sense of judgements both on and off the field-abeg we ain't some bunch of Robots.

Bassogog: It’s Victory Or Nothing For Cameroon Vs “Strong” Super Eagles
newsheadlines.com.ng Aug 26, 2017 7:22 PM
Gabon 2017 Africa Cup of Nations Most Valuable Player, Christian Bassogog, has declared that the Indomitable Lions’ 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against the Super Eagles of Nigeria in Uyo is a must win the Camroonians.

Cameroon are second in Group B on two points, four points adrift of leaders the Super Eagles who have six points.

In third position are Zambia who have one point while Algeria also on one point are bottom of the group.

China-based Bassogog, who is part of coach Hugo Broos’ 23-man squad for the double header against the Eagles, said the Lions must do everything possible to secure the three points in Uyo.

“Nigeria are a strong team,” Bassogog told FIFA.com.

“They have very good players and many of them are playing in Europe. But we must defeat them if we are to maintain our qualifying hopes. We should take the game to them. We need to fight to defeat them.

“These are matches I want to win. We are not in an ideal position but these are…

French-Based Striker Pulls Out Of Cameroon Squad To Face Nigeria
mobile.nigeriasoccernet.com Aug 26, 2017 1:00 PM

Angers SCO striker Karl Toko Ekambi will miss Cameroon's double header against Nigeria early next month after initially making the 23-man roster announced on Friday, August 25.

Angers SCO manager Stéphane Moulin stated at a press conference on Friday that Ekambi has been receiving treatment since Wednesday after suffering a training ground injury the previous day.

Cameroon coach Hugo Broos received the bad news after including the 24-year-old in his squad list, and he had to replace him with Union de Douala star Frantz Pangop.

Though Frantz Pangop has yet to make his debut for Cameroon's A team, he helped the so-called B team qualify for the 2018 African Nations Championship.

Broos could not count on the services of former Tottenham Hotspur attacker Clinton N'Jie for the games against the Super Eagles due to injury.

Cameroon Coach Broos: We Must Take Four Points Off Super Eagles
newsheadlines.com.ng Aug 26, 2017 4:48 PM
Indomitable Lions of Cameroun coach Hugo Broos insists his team need to pick at least four points from Nigeria to stand any chance of qualifying for 2018 World Cup in Russia.

The Belgian-born tactician admitted that Cameroun face an uphill task of beating Nigeria to the World Cup ticket having started poorly, picking two draws from two matches against Algeria (away) and Zambia (home).

But he expressed confidence in the ability of his players to rise to the occasion and deliver the killer punch against Nigeria in Uyo and Yaounde.

“I was surprised by the events of the last few days in Cameroon. I do not have a comment because it does not concern me. I’m here for both games against Nigeria. I hope that these events will not disrupt or influence these two games,” Broos told Camfoot, referring to Cameroon’s FA crisis for which FIFA had to intervene.

“These are two important matches. And even after that there will be Zambia and Algeria, four important…

2018 W/Cup Qualifiers : Akpeyi to be examined as Mikel arrives camp today
nigeriatoday.ng Aug 26, 2017 1:24 PM

Ahead of the Russia 2018 World Cup qualifiers against Cameroon slated for September 1st in Uyo, Chippa Utd Goalkeeper, Daniel Akpeyi will be examined by the Super Eagles team doctor on arrival to the Eagles camp.

In a chat with the Super Eagles Coach, Gernot Rohr , he stated that team doctor of Chippa Utd confirmed that the injury Akpeyi sustained was not a serious one:” I spoke to the Club’s Doctor and he told me that Akpeyi’s injury was not serious.

I have confidence in him, my goalkeeper trainer Enirico Pionetti has also recommended him. Though he conceded 2 goals against South Africa but that doesn’t make him a bad player”. Rohr sated.

Meanwhile, Super Eagles forward, Odion Ighalo and Ikechukwu Ezinwa were the first players to hit the Bolton White Apartment camp of the Super Eagles.

The duo arrived yesterday while the Super Eagles Captain Mikel Obi and Daniel Akpeyi arrived camp around 9 am today.

Rohr expects a full house on Sunday however, the Super Eagles will commence light training with the few players in camp today.

joseph1013:

The suggestiveness when it has to do with forgiveness is truly amazing. It was Icon4s that started it in one of their heated arguments and since then it has been a recurring pattern for anyone who happens to disagree with him subsequently to use it as a cop-out when he runs out of sound arguments. It's so easy to latch on to it when nothing substantive can be offered in the discussion.

He says a lot of nonsense that I just ignore, like some others here, but somehow he manages to back them up, even when they sound childish. But it is confirmation bias to say the only people he fronts for to make the Eagles are his tribesmen. Anyone who has been on this thread long enough knows that he argues for anything foreign. That's all he knows and I 100% can tell you that he has argued for foreign players from the North, South and East of the country that are legitimate for the Eagles.

If anyone has a reason why those he fronts should not be called, let him bring forth their arguments. Constantly reverting to 'tribalism' may excite some people here, but it's a sight that kills off all manner of constructive discussion.

For instance, I had expected the moniker in question to call him up on the issue of "Rohr and cultism", not bring up the childish label of tribalism. Life is not so serious.

Excuse me.

Please don't bring me into this current matter.

I have been on this thread now since inception and I can tell you I know the thinking pattern of almost everyone here.

You don't need to defend anybody. Let him defend himself except if you are telling us you share same sentiments with him.

He went on self imposed exile and we have been enjoying discussions without seeing that word 'tribalism'. He is back and that word keeps coming up.
Even accusing Rohr of cultism just because he didn't include certain players from a certain part of the country. I don't blame anyone for accusing him of tribalism.
