McGregor argues the stoppage was too early but he had nothing left. Mayweather takes the adulation of the crowd but that’s a smile of relief as much as anything!

The two fighters embrace in the centre of the ring and you can tell they’ve earned each others total respect!

Mayweather wins by TKO in the 10th
He could no longer defend himself and the referee had to end it. Mayweather was hitting him at will, walking towards him, cutting off his space and left him with nowhere to go. He stayed on his feet but his legs had gone and his arms must have felt like lead.

Mayweather said that that was his gameplan. He discussed it with his dad. They wanted McGregor to throw all the heavy shots early on. He says that in MMA McGregor throws the heavy shots early on and then tires out. They wanted McGregor to tire out.
