freshest4live: Great bro, I meant socially and culturally there is a connection between Edo and Urhobo (no pun ). Bro did you get my question? In Kenya if you google a tribe you will first learn whether the tribe is Nilotic, Cushitic, Bantu etc. Just google any tribe. For instance; "The Maasai are a Nilotic ethnic group inhabiting southern Kenya" That Nilotic part is what am talking about. Many Nigerian tribes are left hanging on that part, you dont get to know whether they're Bantu, nilotic or whatever. In the Case of Urhobo, what are they? |

TayserMahiri:There are some advantages and disadvantagesee. And of course afew unknowns. We could end up with an M7. Power corrupts. And these people have been in govt. The peoples Republic of Kenya will be poorer and will be starting from scratch. I think I would stay in the Central Republic until they get their act together The advantage is that the Luhya national could finally have a shot at presidency. For now, the contest has been between 3 tribes. There is also the opportunity to renegotiate a better constitution, social and economic structure. All these should be Ironed out before going into another country or it could end up being worse. |

TayserMahiri:My history teacher had told me we came from West Africa. So I grew up thinking West Africans are Bantu. Apparently not. Though we are more closely related genetically with the haplogroup E variations. But I see Nilotic traits amongst some of them. |

Muafrika2:Wow, so who wants to secede now and how long has the agitation been? Is it the kikuyi's? Also are they marginalized? Why are they Seceding? Kikuyi(if l spelt it correctly) is the only tribe l know. |

Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by Nobody: 7:50pm On Aug 27, 2017 |
Muafrika2: Advantages I'm so sorry but if anyone is foolish enough to fall for that lie, they will regret for the rest of their lives. If NASA guys secede, they will again want to secede from themselves because again it will be a case of Luos Vs Luhyas for power. Not to mention that that nation will be very poor as you say. And what about Nai? I can bet with you a secession would not last a year. There would be a mass migration towards the richer Central Republic What we need is a new election formula. Something very close to the USA's electoral colleges. Clearly people are tired of domination by the bigger tribes. We need to work on that one soon, and I know we will. Trust Raila to push for it He's is the type of guy who is both good and terrible sometimes. Btw, Raila in person is not for secession. He just wants to use it to threaten ppl into negotiating a fairer electoral process. That, or he wants mkate nusu Anyway, dont expect this secession talk to last longer than the supreme court ruling. Thats what I think 1 Like |

Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by Nobody: 7:54pm On Aug 27, 2017 |
Muafrika2: Lol, thats funny. I thought having come from West Africa, there werent many Bantus left there. Actually all my life I thought West Africans were Nilotes They looked so Nilotic (especially Luo-like) but seems what was left there were mixtures of groups that can hardly be explained in unambiguous terms like Nilotic etc. |

Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by Nobody: 8:05pm On Aug 27, 2017 |
TayserMahiri:Neither do I. But folly? Its foolishness to you because you don't know how it feels to fail a government recruitment for having the wrong name. Or to watch the government concentrate it's resources in equipping hospitals in the presidential backyard with your taxes, supporting his community with government extension officers and recently, moving entire proceasing plants from the city to the presidents county. Manufacturer Chandaria moved his fresh produce company to Thika, I knew people who worked there. Rendered jobless overnight. Those are the privileges you enjoy just by sharing a language with the president.Fish is being exported from Nyanza to be processed in Kiambu County for export. Its why wealth is concentrated in former presidents tribal zones. No advantages? Luos will process their own fish and have some jobs. Those companies moving to Kiambu will have to negotiate terms of engagement with the new government. 1 Like |

Muafrika2: Of course you raise genuine concerns and problems. I have no way of determining whether your claims are factual. Are u telling me the Indian man Chandaria moved his manufacturing business to Thika because of the president and not because of the enabling environment put there by the County Government of Kiambu What hospitals, I swear I guess I dont follow politics thats why I dont get to hear these things. I thought UK furnished hospitals countrywide? In every county!!! There is so much within your statetent that sounds like political gimicks. You know how ppl raise emotions during voting period by saying any half truths. Anyway, sorry about your friends. Who is processing fish? Is it private individuals or govt? If private, do we blame the central govt or the County govt in Kiambu for enabling that? Cant we as well blame the county govt of Kisumu or Homa Bay for doing little while enriching themselves? Am sure you know how those counties are famed for squandering resources for personal gain. Anyway, you guys can go right ahead and do the secession. I can guaratee you it will be worse. We would rather address the privilege issues together. South Sudan is a good example, Why not come up with a better electoral process whereby every community has an equal chance? Because the whole issue here is Kikuyus I know, and I agree they can dominate to the detriment of others. Btw, I dont have privileges for being from the presidents tribe as u insinuated. I do my own hussles. I even quit a job!! |

TayserMahiri: Of course there will always be those for and against. I only have a problem with your labelling your opposers foolish. The problem is really the Economic and political structure of the society. What you are referring to as justification is really the principles of capitalism. You win at all cost. Imported from a mono culture and imposed on Africans who by nature are tribal. It does not have a long life going into future. |

Muafrika2: I didnt label anyone foolish. But the idea of secession is very foolish. If you let Ndii lead u into that hole, while he himself is a Kikuyu who will be left in Central, I'm so sorry. No Muafrika, what do you really mean my justification? What did I justify? What are your proposed solutions? If only you knew how little I care about politics I'm the kind of person who listens to everyone on merit. We created counties to address central govt dominance. Btw, I know one solution that can address all these problems! Make Raila President! Just like that and everyone in NASA will forget there was secession talk. Unfortunately that is impossible without going to the polls and he gets a clear win. If I was a NASA strategist, I would pick someone else other than the divisive Raila to run for presidency. Otherwise, my man Rao will always think the election is rigged against him. 1 Like |

TayserMahiri:You justified Chandaria moving his operations from Nairobi to the President's county. Favourable business environment you say. I don't Know much about the guy. And I dont think we'll need him. The counties are a good start. But they are very dependent on the whims of the treasury - the central government. I don't think they are the perfect solution. They are like little replicas of the country's national system. My proposed solution is beyond cessation. Its change of the political system. Democracy needs to go. |
Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by Nobody: 9:19pm On Aug 27, 2017 |
Muafrika2: There has to be a replacement for democracy. You cant just say democracy has to go! And then?? What do we work with? Anyways, I didnt justify Chandaria moving his processing plants. Maybe we should contact him and understand why he did that. Btw, its really funny that the democracy Raila fought hard for is the same one keeping him away from power. That is of course assuming there was no hacking this time. Democracy can be brutal. Any reasonable person who observed this time could tell who was the likely winner. I myself knew UK would beat Raila squarely. It was so easy to tell, if you had no bias and some kind of fanatism I see with people. I didnt even vote, I can only vote for Alfred Mutua or Raphael Tuju types. I seriously hope Mutua runs next time I'll vote him at six in the AM. But to be fair, talking secession cos an individual lost an election is hypocritical. Why not just say; Ok, we as NASA agree that we lost fairly but we think that this democracy thingie is working to the detriment of some communities, so lets work something out. Something more equalizing. 2 Likes |
