lolz....dessers would be easier to get IMO....
Nd av watched clips of both of dem nd i think dessers is better(all round) player dan tammy....
I see tammy as a poacher
nd am sure dah at d end of this season dessers would move to a better league....it all depends on rohr and whether we qualify

Easier to get is an assumption not a fact, the fact that Tega isn't saying much doesn't mean he is not considering Nigeria.

I see Tega as a poacher too, but he brings more to the table and he is improving game by game.

Dresser seems to be on an upward spiral and only time will tell. However, it's not in dispute that the EPL is a considerably more superior league.

Dresser could also do a U turn if Belgium come calling for him.

“He has already told the technical committee he is not disturbed about the poor finances of the NFF which may cause salaries to be delayed for several months. “He said he is only driven to give something back to the country that made him and he believes he can impact what he has learnt working with age-group teams in Mallorca to make a difference with the country’s cadet team.”

The amount of Knowledge Finidi George has from the well-structured football development system will definitely make a major impact in the young boys he will train. I hope the NFF is willing to work with the Nigerian footballing legend and later give him a chance to play a big part in the administrative role of the NFF.

@forgiveness, it is unfortunate that the lens through which you view matters is this jaundiced. Does this make you a “tribalist”? I say No? Does this keep you from having a constructive argument? I think so.

If Rohr was an Igbo man, you would have accused him of tribalism. If he was a Yoruba man, tribalism wouldn’t fit the tag, hence the appropriate label will be that his selections are for pecuniary gains. Now that Rohr is not a Nigerian and it is clear that he is not here for the money, you needed to find another label to tag him.

This approach to explaining other people’s actions which are at odds with your world view will keep you from seeing the best in other people and further help you assess and reshape your own thinking. To the hammer, every problem seems like a nail. I have learnt to ignore many of your accusations, at the same time learning from you as well. One thing you fail to realize is that the human heart has reasons that reason cannot comprehend and it has nothing to do with tribalism. The yorubas will say “Differences in human preference is the reason why two brothers would not desire the same woman”. As someone who claims to throw facts around, please desist from making strong accusations wit, I mean things you are sure of and not hearsay

First @bolded suggested that I make comments from the bitterness of my soul and that I don't have critical thinking of my constructive argument. Far from it, my Oga. My mind is very clear and sound enough to make a constructive argument devoid of jaundice or parochial scope.

Let me make myself clear like I made myself cleared to Icon4s.

I don't have any problem with Rohr's list though raised eyebrows against Kayode's exclusion based on the obvious on ground.

Nevertheless, the same people pointing accusing fingers are those against Rohr's list. How? Fishing out Onazi, Simon Moses and Ahmed Musa from Rohr's list and tagging them 'past glory players.' They are bent on casting them out of the team without giving any cogent reason for this.

However, I just took dem by their word by referring to some players who have done nothing of note this season, and I also tagged them 'past glory players'. Do you know what happened afterward?

I was called a tribalist. grin

So, should I also call them a tribalist because the players they wanted to replace with the aforementioned players are from their divide? grin

My brain told me not to do that but rather go into a healthy debate before one pounced on me from nowhere with the attached label of a tribalist. grin

My point is for them to have a critical thinking about the so called 'past glory theory' and not necessarily to remove Iheanacho (I dey crazy) and Onyekuru from list. All my gesture was sacartiscm at best. E.0.D

I have seen the list days or hours before yesterday but I never mused or altered a word.

But I am bewildered that some see it as a sacrilege to omit Iheanacho from the list but as a privilege to omit Ahmed Musa from the list, on the grounds that Iheanacho is an old member of the national team. shocked grin

Is Ahmed Musa a toddler in the National team? grin

Now, to the second @bolded. Rohr to me is a puppet because he seems not to know the right players to use in a match set up. Using players wrongly in their positions is absurd and unacceptable.

If you say there's nothing like tribalism in the National team or no nepotism and corruption, please state it clearly or plainly for the world to see then I go mellow. grin

@bolded 3, By the grace of God, I know a sound judgment and I know what is good.

You can remember, I defended Dominic Solanke, Onomah, Ademola-lookman, Agbo, Tiago Ilori etc even when many didn't see any good in dem, but I stood my ground and today these players are doing well for themselves. As you can see, I can see the best in others hence my calm approach in dealing with people here. grin

And lastly, 4th @bolded, Amokachi said there is bribery and corruption in the selection of players. What does it mean?

He still believes those statements strongly. I've asked him to come with his candidates and back it up with their achievements.. I'm still waiting. If I say that section of the country he is defending don't have the best coaches AT THE MOMENT, he or some of us will get emotional. As much as I don't believe in rotation, especially when nothing is broken, I'm satisfied with the shortlist so far, because the credentials of some of them cannot be ignored. However, if he is already suspecting there will be foul play in the coaches selection, he can come up with names from his section of the country, and back it up that they are the best we have at the moment.

In all, we just need to get this tribalism out of our ahead at least on this thread. Outside, this thread, I don't care what you do with your life.

I've always said stats don't like. Look at Moses Simon's stats below for All competition and Jupiler league alone. I will include the link so you will be so sure it's actually Simon's stats from last season:

Jupiler league alone: https://www.transfermarkt.com/moses-simon/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/274862/saison/2016/wettbewerb/BE1/verein/157

I think it.actually makes it worse. as a SS you are meant to score some more, I don't really get your position in this argument. so a SS with a return of 5 goals and 7 assists is good enough for you?

that's exactly my point. As an SS you should score even more goals.. Simon played a few times as a midfielder.

For me Moses Simon has an edge because of Europa League and past decent performances in the SE.. Basing it on Jupiler League alone, Onyekuru has a better stat.

Modified

Maybe I need to break that table down, if you are not getting the whole gist.
MOSES SIMON
In the Jupiler League alone:

14 times as an SS --> 3 goals, 3 assists
2 times as a LW --> 0 goals, 1 assist
2 times as a CF --> 0 goals, 0 assist

ONYEKURU
In the Jupiler League alone:

34 as LW --> 19 goals, 8 assists
3 as CF --> 1 goal, 2 assists
3 as RW --> 3 goals
1 as SS --> 1 goal

Simon Moses has the edge for now over Henry Onyekuru. Statistics are not everything.

At least Rohr had Onyekuru in camp twice. And for him to still prefer Simon it tells a lot.

That's the point I've been making. Although I would rather have Onyekuru, I still respect Rohr's decision. No suspicions of foul play..Besides Onyekuru is on stand-by if i'm not mistaken. And that means he is still in SE's set up.

If I do not have moral justification to express my thought about a public officer as enshrined in the Constitution of the federal Republic of Nigeria then who has?

I have told you plain and clear that, if Rohr and his cronies continues to ignore good players doing well in Europe, I will point it out. GBAM!

Today there was an agitation in Aba, why? Some people want to maintain the magogo way hence the ventilation of anger and agitation springing up left right and center.

Do not assume I feel aggrieved some section of the country is not having a fair share due to their inability or lack of talent but I feel aggrieved that such act can never propell our nation team to the greatest height.

This is simply my worries and I will do anything in my little way through this mighty forum to propagate my course. Shikena!

@bolded, that's a call for Federal Character. I think it's absurd even in our national politics. And that's why we will ALWAYS be backward as a nation. Thank goodness we just won the AfroBasket. Based on our population and love for sports we should be dominating sports in Africa, just as the US dominate the Olympics. Maybe we will get there in the next 100 years.

Please try avoid making statements here that can spark off ethnic combats. You have no moral justification to make that kind of comment on Rohr and the NFF.

No section of the country will feel happy when such allegations are put forward against them.

Even if you feel aggrieved that your section of the country is not getting a fair share there are better ways of going about it and just know also that all sections of the country cannot have equal represent in the national team.

You cannot be talking about federal character in the national team setting.

Let the best get the nod. Of they are from a particular section of a country so be it.
