Joebie: I think we totally agree on this. last season Moses Simon didn't really light up the Europa league but just like you and Icon4s said, there are a lot more that will be considered first. all that aside, I really want to understand why Moses Simon still plays as a winger for us. he literally played the whole season as the SS probably because Samuel Kalu benched him, why then is he a starter for the SE when we have tons of players who can play that position well enough? |

Mickael2: I wouldn't say Simon is a starter in the Super Eagles. Iwobi and Moses are our first choice. Simon gets to start when one of the two is missing out. Like with Iwobi out now Simon is likely to start. Simon I think has done enough in the past with the national team to deserve another invitation. |

Then, let me see how some people will only vote in their people. This country tire me ehn, can't wait to just get out of it 4 Likes |

Exclusive – FC Porto Snap Up Talented Nigerian Duo Kingsley Kuku & Isah Musa August 27, 201701 The Nigerian contingent at FC Porto has swelled by two following the signing of two more Nigerians in Kingsley Kuku and Isah Musa, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal. They are presently awaiting their visa at the Portuguese embassy in Abuja before they join the club to bring to five the Nigerian players on their books. Chidozie Awaziem, Musa Yahaya and Chidera Ezeh are the other Nigerians at the club, but only Yahaya is with the team where he is presently playing for the B team. Kuku is a left footed forward who was cited by the club alongside Musa who is a pacy right wing back but can also play as a winger due to his fine ball playing abilities. They were both picked up by scouts of the team during the annual Geelec scouting tournament in Keffi, Nasarawa State Nigeria earlier this year. Daniel Martins --OwnGoalNigeria 3 Likes |

Victor Moses Confirms His Availability For World Cup Qualifiers Against Cameroon Published: August 28, 2017 Chelsea right wing-back Victor Moses has confirmed his availability for Nigeria's crucial World Cup qualifiers against Cameroon early next month. Shortly after helping the Blues win their second straight game in the Premier League, the Super Eagle took to social media to announce that he will soon join the national team at their get-together in Abuja. Moses, a former England U17 international, has not featured for the Super Eagles in 2017, having pulled out of the international friendly versus Senegal in March and June's AFCON qualifier against South Africa owing to injury. The Chelsea number 15 posted on Instagram : ''Off to join up with Nigeria for international duty after a massive 3 points today! #CFC ''. Since Moses made his debut for the national team, he has played in World Cup qualifiers against Namibia, Malawi (2), Kenya, Ethiopia (2) and Algeria. Ifeanyi Emmanuel source : ANS 1 Like |

Icon4s: Not so fast. @bolded suggest otherwise looking at your past comments. You were busy looking out for who is from one particular section of the country. Abi dat one too na Football analyses? Initially, they said I am PRO-YORUBA but when facts began to stair dem 4 faces dat I have defended players from all sections of the country, they coined 'na Igbo hater' smh! Where dem see me mention Igbo for this thread, even in politics section, I avoid addressing people by tribe. In short, I coined the word Westerner, Easterner etc on this forum. Record is there for all to see... Heee! Some has been deleted due to the attack on Nairaland. I go show snapshot of all the parts of the country I have died for here and no one should change mouth when dem see the people dem suppose I hate. One even said I stopped talking about Ebuehi because of Aina when it's dam obvious that I have not been active on this thread for months. Is Aina even eligible to play for Nigeria? No Then, how can I talk about one who is not cleared by FIFA for a crucial match against Cameroon? Some people mind shallow, Walahi! Below is the snapshot of the genesis of name or tribe checker. Guess who? Joseph and I had a heated argument about who is better between Solanke and Iheanacho. My opinion then and even till date is that Solanke is a better player than Kelechi. Remember, Solanke never win U20 World player of the Tournament ooooooo but I still knew he was that good. Behold, Solanke is benching experienced and more expensive players than himself at LIVERPOOL.... I no go talk further.... You all know the rest. But Icon4s, with his google of tribalism started pointing to tribalism when there was nothing of such. Abi na Tribalism carry Solanke reach where em dey. People who cry tribalism are weak minded souls looking for the easiest way to shun and shut down a reasonable and constructive argument. 3 Likes

We must Beat Super Eagles – Christian Bassongog Cameroon danger man, Christian Bassongog, has sent a note of warning to the Super Eagles, ahead of the double header Russia 2018 FIFA World cup qualifying matches against the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon, which begins on September 1 in Uyo. The youthful Chinese Super League player, who was voted the Most Valuable Players player at the last AFCON has told FIFA.com that the Cameroonians are seeing the match against Nigeria as a must win, if they must remain in contention for the group ticket .According to information gathered from FIFA, Bassogog is “arguably the fastest player in the entire Indomitable Lions squad”, and he believes that the AFCON win and the FIFA Confederation cup may have prepared him specially for the great task, insisting that the game against the Super Eagles is one that the African champions must win. “Nigeria are a strong team,” he told FIFA.com. “They have very good players and many of them are playing in Europe. But we must defeat them if we are to maintain our qualifying hopes. We should take the game to them. We need to fight to defeat them. “Our players are young, but we are strong as a team,” he said of Cameroon’s progress under Belgian coach Hugo Broos. “He is a good coach. He knows what the players are good at so he can get the best out of us. In this team, everyone has his chance.” “These are matches I want to win,” he said. “We are not in an ideal position but these are qualifying games for the World Cup. I will do my utmost to help our team”. http://www.thebreakingtimes.com/we-must-beat-super-eagles-christian-bassongog/

This thread is getting nasty day by day I see no reason why anyone should support any player based on tribal sentiments. Have we all forgotten the purpose of this thread is it not to support SE with our ideas and knowledge to ensure they are a better team. But now I see every body picking fights and arguing over some certain players. if the player you want is not invited you are not the coach Rohr knows the kind of players he needs for every game that's why he called up those he invited. Have seen several occasions where players who were clamoured for in this thread are later invited. Am pleading with you all to exercise patience. Please any post that does not positively contribute to the development of the SE should be removed. Tribalism and sentiments should not be allowed. No player should be favoured here. Arguments should not be based on sentiments, tribalism, or favouritism. Constructive criticism should be allowed but that does not mean we should fight or argue over any player or coach. Furthermore, I honestly think that Cameroon is overrated on this thread. You talk of Cameroon as if you are talking about Germany. I believe we would easily secure a win in uyo then maybe secure a draw away. Because looking it their team they don't have better players than we do I don't think any of their wingers is as skilful as Victor Moses or as pacy as Ahmed musa. We have better midfielders like Mikel obi,Ndidi and Etebo. The likes of Leon balogun, troost ekong,John ogu, and others can match them in physicality so I see no cause for alarm Victory all the way. 2 Likes |

Cameroon Coach : Ex-Barcelona GK Rejected The Chance To Play Against Nigeria One of the surprise names omitted from the Indomitable Lions squad that is set to travel to Nigeria for a World Cup qualifier against Nigeria this week is Ajax Amsterdam goalkeeper André Onana. Cameroon manager Hugo Broos had to explain that he did not call up the former Barcelona youth-teamer because he refused to play for his country. ''I had an interview with André, he said that he no longer wants to be selected with the national team. He wants to concentrate on his club,'' Broos told reporters, according to camfoot.com. ''Honestly, I have a little doubt. I think the reason is elsewhere. I am really surprised at his decision'' . Onana's cousin, Sevilla Atletico netminder Fabrice Ondoa, has been included in the squad list. http://www.allnigeriasoccer.com/read_news.php?nid=24385

cromz:exactly no doubt that the Cameroon national team is very good but we rate them a lot here well overconfidence is not good that shouldn't create a room for us to see them as a mountain ppl in this thread av been emphasising on physicality is this the first time we will be playing against physical African teams?? at least we played against Zambia and won them on their own soil even the Kenyans that are strong and athletic we beat them a number of times am not trying to downgrade the Cameroonians cos I really respect them and know their quality in fact I rate them higher than the Algerians 1 Like |

It's futile getting into certain arguments with people who already have pre- conceived notions. Sometimes silence is a better answer. Admittedly I can understand Forgiveness rational for his responses to the allegations made against him. I think any reasonable person can sift through things to know what is credible or nor or just down right bad belle. I was perplexed by someone who condems all things said from a foreign perspective then saying can't wait to leave the country. What a hypocritical U turn. 6 Likes |
