giles14: u have been saying it since last couple of years in the meantime Russians have decided to transfer their 2nd SSN to India , as well as provide consultancy for local Indian SSN design and development. signed deals worth billions of dollars, with Russian companies investing the bulk of it in India. international relations r not made in media rooms / public discourses nor r they reflected in media news items / reports. Russia is not a fool to understand that if Russia can deal with china , so can India deal with US, without stepping on each others boot. in strategic paradigm India is a counter to c******* for Russia , think about it . |

nemesis4u:how much is it? how about the game performance? do u have any specs? i would consider comparing with SONY PlayStation 4 Pro which has 4.2 Teraflops. but Xbox One X is said to be 6 Teraflops about to be launched in Nov 2017

kikuyu1: comparative analysis of 2 aircraft's is a herculean task , this can be done only by a airforce with the backing of the respective OEMs. on paper such analysis will not be feasible becz where is the data in the first place ? what is their authenticity ? is there any commonality between the various OEM figures in terms of test conditions/ test points / test regimes ? eg. in the MMRCA contest in the field evaluation trials (FETs), 643 parameters were tested individually for each aircraft for the purpose of comparing the 6 types of aircraft's under evaluation and that too in multiple locations . note these r only the FET test points only. LCA 2 is a paper plan right now ,its first prototypes (all will be production variants ) should come out in a 2 or 3 years . FA-50 is a high end trainer/LIFT with good combat capabilities Gripen is a dedicated multi role aircraft aircraft both fall in the light weight category LWC but FA50 is more towards the lighter end of the LWC while Gripen is towards the heavier end initial design of a fighter constraints its future development/evolution to a large extent. there is so much u can do with ur base design, if u keep on adding capabilities it will eat into the aircraft's performance . this is something which no OEM will mention it to u. FA50 will suffer from penalty as features r added to it ,while Gripen will suffer less since it already had the most of the capabilities built into from scratch eg. the F16 suffers from high altitude problems , IAF found it aint suitable to conduct missions over NE / North sectors why becz it is loaded too much........ with CFT etc which eats into its performance but without CFT its combat range is reduced. funnily LCA has no problems in this aspects becz its inherent compound delta wing design feature and lower wing loading and other user requirements which mandated that it be capable to fly in high altitudes NE / North sectors from the beginning.(however LCA suffers some penalty in other aspects) 2 Likes |

even for the simplest of comparison of aircraft's one would need the following data 1.lift to drag ratio 2.lift coefficient 3.sustained turn rate 4.thrust to weight ratio 5.wing loading 6.instantaneous turn rate 7.angle of attack rate 8.climb rate 9.relative energy state 10.drag coefficient 11.specific excess power 12.combat cycle time 13.pitch agility 14.lateral agility 15.axial agility etc etc now why would a OEM publish such extensive data in the open domain @kikuyu1 |

nemesis4u:TRUE Although I dont think the Russian armed forces was the major target for this one, Riverine Boats such as this will have such an impact in countries with large river networks and deltas. i can imagine NN chasing down militants and fleeing oil thieves with this boat holding a squad of fully armed commandos in its belly. |

jakeporeshenko: lol when the boat bow opens to spill out 18 fully armed troopers , the oil thieves will start complaining of wilful deception russia utilizes such boats in good numbers , u gotta take a serious look at their geography unlike soviet union Russia now designs/produces weapons on a need to basis for internal requirements mainly and later they modify or produce variants for export. it is to cut down expenditure / financial burden |

jakeporeshenko: my guess 1. net, just like the butterfly net used to catch butterflies 2.float, the drone will splash down safely in the water using floats, near the boat and then the guys will simply pull it up |

Its a good rough sketch to show some difference in Mk1 to Mk2. Mk2 is being developed by joint input provided by Navy & IAF both. post 2024, when MK1A production order finishes, it will continue with mk2 production, for both navy & IAF Engine will be more powerful for better thrust . Expected changes Length increase by 1 meter Head cone, expected to point downwards, for better vision. Wings be bigger. Wings expected to be delta wings like Mk1A but chopped wider delta wing - for better lift This also allow wingtip sensors, suites & missiles, lacking in mk1 MK2 Air Inlet be larger & more spaced away than Mk1 as can be seen in sketch. Landing gear to be modified & strengthened for Naval use Also notice difference in landing gear Vs Air inlet - this shows it will have a lot better internal fuel carrying capacity Thicker midsection also allows more space to integrate pods or more space to attach pods. All these above mean Mk2 will have atleast 2 more hardpoints (wingtip) & 2 hardpoints more free (currently used by fuel droptanks) Mk2 might only use single centerline droptank till date Avionics architecture has been finalized. New cockpit with bigger size (6”x8”) displays designs completed. Configuration of Active Phased Array based Unified Electronic Warfare Suite (UEWS) finalized The number of elements that can be incorporated with the existing geometry for the Antenna Array unit of AESA Radar has been finalized and performance parameters like range and Effective Radiated Power (ERP) computed. Night Vision Goggle (NVG) compatible L E D lights for Navigation lights and Taxi / Landing Lights are being developed. - Engineering models have been developed. Performance is being evaluated. Conformal antenna developed for V/UHF Unified Pylon Interface Computer (UPIC) fixed in place of individual Pylon Interface Boxes GE-F414 engine for LCA Mk2 and a contract was signed with GE, USA in September 2012 and due for delivery by 2019. Canopy reshaping, outer cowl modification, actuator fairing extension and supersonic pylons have resulted in approx 20 counts (8%) drag reduction in supersonic regimes. how long this fuukery will go on , only lord odin knows maybe i will just ask thors girlfriend darn she dont like my question
