forgiveness: I am making the presumption of a 4-3-3. In that regard I would be looking for Ola Aina to recreate the club and personal understanding that he has with Victor Moses. Therefore Shehu does not start for me. I am concerned about the mobility of Ogu in a fast paced match. Ogu has good composure and I think a better passing range than Ndidi. But Ndidi is more Mobil, has better recovery if the ball is lost, can turn defence into attack a lot quicker than Ogu. So I would drop Ogu and choose Ndidi, because pace is going to be an issue in this match. Add to that Mikel has zero pace and will not backtrack to help the defence effectively enough for me. But in reality we need Mikel to play offensive and open up Cameroon. Ndidi covering for him enables us to be more offensive through Mikel picking out the right passes and through balls. Otherwise I can't disagree with much else considering players invited. 1 Like |

junnyjake:we acknowledge your solidarity post....it's coming late sha. And Rohr's job is to pick who he thinks will best execute his matchday plan, not to pick who beer parlour and armchair analysts think is best. So, whether you are content with the explanation or not, that's irrelevant. He doesn't even owe anyone an explanation to begin with, we should be glad he bothered Abeg, does anyone have pictures of players in camp? 6 Likes |

joseph1013: I don't think it's wise for me or the coach to still play Ndidi and Onazi after both flopped against Senegal and South Africa when they played together Secondly, I need a DM and a natural CMF in the midfield with experience, that is why I prefer Onazi and Ogu. Thirdly, I think both can control the midfield with the help of Mikel Obi no matter the jambody dem meet. In short, these 3 players are required in my 4-3-3 formation or 4-2-3-1 formation. Ndidi will be my backup CB should incase our CBs fumbles. Surprised! Because I don't trust Balogun and Troost, dem fit fumble. Mikel Obi will play the freerole. I mean AMF . |

OMANBALA1: You want to start Awaziem at RB? No room for wild experiments in this game. Remember what happened the last time we played Ndidi at RB? It takes an experienced member of the team to switch positions like that. Like Omeruo playing RB against Algeria. Like also Shehu playing RB which is not his primary role (although he has played mostly RB for Nigeria than DM). Leon Balogun can also play RB. But not a newbie like Awaziem especially in a match of this calibre. Plus I will pick Ndidi in the DM role over Onazi. With Iwobi out I would move Etebo to LWF and play an Ndidi - Onazi (CM) midfield pair. People clamouring for Mikel at CM, we need his creativity more in the AM position. To unlock a stubborn defense you need very creative players in the AM/ Wing positions and Mikel is the most creative amongst our Midfielders. Talking about Ezenwa, where were you when he was being treated like a piece of trash here. At least some of us stood up for Akpeyi. |

He is not the best in the league presently. Abi I lie? Akpeyi too no good for aerial balls. It is very glaring to the blind. |

Petrobros: Who is our first choice goalie? Why is Ndidi a sure starter? Didn't Rohr confessed that he is looking for a better CF instead of Iheanacho? Why did he call 3 natural CF if he really considered Iheanacho as his first choice CF? Onazi Ndidi pairing flopped big time against Senegal and South Africa. Why continue with a failed combo? |

The transfer market is going crazy this season. He isn't the only one either! Like I said on twitter, Dembele's transfer fee is a fraud that needs to be investigated. Think about the amount being mentioned on Coutinho! Makes me to ask, where's the so called UEFA fair play rule? O pari Icon4s: |

komekn: The reason I dropped Ola was because I am yet to confirm his clearance from FIFA else I would have placed him there. However, I really considered what you said regarding the lack of Mobility of Ogu and Mikel before i made that line up but after seeing how Onazi -Ndidi pairing flopped big time, I decided to go with experience that's Onazi, and dropped Ndidi. If I have to drop Ogu then I will consider Agu play as the DM and Onazi play as the CMF. |

forgiveness: Is that you don't know who our first choice goalie is for this encounter or you have refused to accept Daniel Akpeyi as our first choice? This is where the issue of preference and expectation comes in again. You say Ndidi is not experienced yet you still prefer Agu in one of your other posts. Isn't that double standard? Ndidi-Onazi midfield combo is the best with the current crop we have. You want us to go experimenting one kind combo and get our asses roasted? The coaches just need to pass down vital instructions especially to Ndidi to sit deep and shield the CB pair. While Onazi is free to roam. |

That's fine.. make your contribution as regards your expectations.. People are free to air their opinions and preferences..As a matter of fact I like the suspense, when we say we will see who will start, or we will see who wins or predicted right. We can entertain that as long as we don't have comments here that are divisive. Well, talking of expectations, expectations are not always met. Petrobros: |

Icon4s: yeah I was among those...who never wanted ezenwa and akpeyi near the eagles.....for reason that ezenwa wasn't the best in the domestic league.... but his performance against Benin made me....have a rethink... at least he won't do another agbim on us.... for now....I think he is ahead...he should start If rohr deem it to be... for your midfield pair... you're right...onazi and ndidi will offer the much needed pace in these kind of match... and etebo playing as winger wit V Moses gonna be deadly.... I think I like that....had it been Aina have been cleared by FIFA ....I don't mind him playing RB he has a very good passing accuracy and ball control is top notch.... |

Alampasu however is untested and may not be trusted due to his lack of exposure both at international level and club side. Emmanuel Daniel would have been my preferred choice in that department but Rohr's decision must be respected. As per Akpeyi, me no wan get BP and i would agree with you on that but Ezinwa as you have said may actually not be calamity in waiting. Ezinwa may be younger than Akpeyi but has lots of experience. If am right, Ideye,Elderson and Ezinwa are of U20 class of 2007.The guy just needs us to encourage him considering his superlative outing during the CHAN qualifiers. Adeboye Onigbinde-like coaches would have thrown Akpeyi into the waste bin forgiveness: |

Icon4s: Playing Awaziem at RB is not as risky as starting him at CB, because you can accommodate some risk at RB but same can't be said for CB who is mostly the last man. Awaziem can't do the job,all he need it confidence. Right now ,Omeruo is not on the list and Shehu is not one of my favourite player....Dude bores me to sleep. Ndidi is not a natural defender ,henceforth, you can't compare him to a natural defender like Awaziem. I play from the defensive midfield position and spread passes satisfactorily and do the combative defensive midfield job BUT within myself I know I am a natural full back. Though I don't have any problem playing Mikel in the AM but the job cant be left for him alone because he is not the most creative. We need Iheanacho there for crisp and quick decision making. Nwanne, how can you forget so soon. I have always stood in defense of Ezenwa because I know his capabilities. I believe in him...Never being a fan of Akpeyi. |

Petrobros: Who dash Akpeyi first choice? The fact that he was never considered to be called many times mean he has never been considered a super eagles material. Fact! Take note that Akpeyi has only played one competitive match under Rohr, so expect changes. Na who say Ndidi no get experience? However, at the Super Eagle level both Ndidi and Agu are in the same category.Gbam! |

Humility017: Bros that Benin game is not a true test o. The only save Ezenwa made all evening was the penalty save. I am not hating on him o. I am just saying it as it is. Compare that with the nature of oppositions Akpeyi has faced: Egypt in Alexandria, Algeria, Senegal and South Africa. Akpeyi is not being given a fair assessment here honestly. I am not saying he is a fantastic goalkeeper but he is not as bad as people tag him to be here. 3 Likes |

the simple truth here is that Etebo is going to play in midfield, Mikel too. The last spot is between Onazi and Ndidi, I don't need to tell y'all who my choice would be but the coach decides anyways so not my problem really. the two wingers will definitely be VicMo and Musa/Moses, Musa will most definitely start, take that to the bank. Nacho will still start as the CF. in fact we are going to see that formation against Algeria all over again with the same players, well maybe except for Onazi and Iwobi but the rest will be the same. I wouldn't be surprised if I see Ndidi at right back again, remember the Cameroonians are tall and do score from set pieces, this was the main reason why Ndidi started against Zambia anyways so I don't think that will change 1 Like |

Iheanacho is not a point man. P.S. Iheanacho need to work on his first touch and I will be watching closely....Nigga need to seat up. 2 Likes |

Petrobros: Ok! 2 competitive matches in an emergency situation or make shift situations Why did Rohr had a rethink before using him against South Africa if he was really convincing against Algeria? Since, Akpeyi has only played 2 - 4 competitive matches for the team but still not convincing, i think the coach knows what to do. Shikena! |
