oloolo: Using your cousin might be dangerous... it is risky... you did not mention him as family in your previous application, and now your cousin has surfaced all of a sudden. If you mention a host, you will include their passport number. With that they can tell your cousin has been in the UK since even before you applied first time. Now if you want to explain that you did not have your cousin's contact around the time you applied previously, anyone has a right to disbelieve you. How are you sure your explanation would make sense to the ECO? |

Let him give you necessary documents and invitation letter where he will write he is accommodating u oloolo: |

oloolo: Feel free to mention your cousin in your next application. But if your are planing to stay with him may lead to refusal. It is often very difficult to proof a relationship as it goes beyong just providing contact details and invitation letter. Since you have travel before, you should arrange your own accomodation and if issued the visa, find to visit your cousin and stay with him. |

post=59656554: Guys, please I'm confused as to the type of visa to apply for. Transit visa or standard visa? Travelling to us, stopping over in the U.K. For 2 weeks, and then leave for the US. |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by ekpotek: 7:53am On Aug 29, 2017 |
post=59917841: There is no airline that offers 2 weeks transit time. It either you are visiting UK or not. So the appropriate visa is standard visitor visa. You mist submit all the necessary documentation for a visit visa. However, if you hinge your application on transiting through the UK to the US, you may be refused as you do not necessarily need to pass through the UK to US. 1 Like |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by ekpotek: 11:45am On Aug 29, 2017 |
eyilore2014:No. You will need a tax clearance. If this business is own by you alone, you might be permited to use it to fund a vacation, however, the ECO may see it differently. So I would advised you open a personal and fund it for at least 4 months before applying. 1 Like |

Hello all, Update. Finally got m Timeline; Biometrics: July 24 ( Priority Tier 2) Not straightforward email; August 15 Told my agent of this and i was told it was escalated though i didnt get an email to that effect. A week after i sent an enquiry to Ukvi and i was sent a mail to fill out the reason for escalation. This i did and sent back but i did not get any response. My agent sent me a mail on Friday 25th August that d application has been sent to the 'express escalation team' whatever that means. Got a mail from TLS on Monday 28th that decision has been made and another one later in the day for passport pick up. Passport picked up today. Visa granted from 26th of August(which is a saturday). Hope this encourages someone. Thanks to all who supported me. 6 Likes |

ddonsly:No. Don't know anyone. When I did make the move to retrieve my passport some time ago, I visited the BDHC in VI twice, wrote letter, wrote email etc, until finally they let me in and attended to me. |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by Brightingsus: 4:51pm On Aug 29, 2017 |
fakmurphy: It can take up to a week or so for TLS to send you a decision mail, which is shortly followed by a collection email... I may not know your situation... |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by Nobody: 4:51pm On Aug 29, 2017 |
I am the sole signatory to all the coy account. I am the sole owner of the coy. I just include two other people as the share holder in the memo to meet up the CAC requirement during coy registration.

|
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by Solatium(m): 4:57pm On Aug 29, 2017 |
eyilore2014: All you need is a letter from the bank stating you are the sole signatory to the account and attach the letter to your statement of account.in addition make sure you draft and type a board resolution on your company letter head and made the two other directors on the CAC list to sign...However, you need to think of separating your business from yourself,I mean the financial aspect of it,Don't mix funds together for accountability purposes and TAX REMITTANCE,you might think you are dodging the FIRS for now,but they will come for you sooner or later and they will hammer you big time which you might not be able to afford |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by Brightingsus: 4:57pm On Aug 29, 2017 |
eyilore2014: Sir, the fact that you have included two more signatories to the company account gives them part ownership of the company on face value. I do not know how you can convince the ECO that you are the sole owner of the account. 1 Like |
