Kog45:nice post If we try every possible means to match the Cameroonians physicality we might regret it cos our boys will easily get tired let's use our skills nice passes and speed to and reasonable physicality (not the physicality to imitate the Cameroonians) to demolish the Cameroonians "use what you have to get what you want " And concerning the invitation of Aaron Samuel and ighalo I am in full support of it cos we don't need a striker that will be easily bullied by the Cameroonian defence 6 Likes |

Nigerdeltaboi: So, we got our tactics spot on. It fell apart in the second half because we did not deliver good final passes to put us in the lead. So why is the talk about physicality against South Africa when we clearly outclassed them in the first half without physicality? |

TheGoodJoe: You mean the chance Simon solemnly created only for Iheanacho to give a simple/easy tap sorry pass to Etebor who wasted the chance? I remembered very very well. |

TheGoodJoe: Every man is entitled to his opinion. Thankfully the manager in charge is of different opinion from yours after reviewing the game. He has since realised his mistakes and have been open to make adjustments by inviting battle hardened guys who will give us the result. You can keep talking about misplaced passes while Rohr does the right thing. I don't understand why people see Aaron Samuel as solely a tough man striker. From what I've seen of Samuel during Keshi's reign, he was quite a skilful player who possessed outstanding technical abilities. I recall the scissors kick he nearly scored with in his debut match in Abuja. Against Congo, he showed his technical ability once more by taking on the Congolese defence and scored a beauty which drove the Congolese fans crazy. Even Anthony Nwakaeme have displayed speed, Skills and guts to take defences on in the Europa league. If he was all brawls without brains, he wouldn't have been the best player in Isreal for about 2 seasons now. There are lots of Brazilians and Argentines in the Israeli league. Skill for skill, Kelechi has nothing on Nwakaeme. Anyone in doubt should ask me to provide evidence. 1 Like |

goldfish80:I don't think there is need for us to go back and be arguing may be Nacho can lead d attack or better than Nwakaeme or Aron Samuel but one thing is glaring we had a match against SA that was an eyes opener and w need to put our house in order. Truly Rohr is in charge and everything stop at his desk, for inviting Nwakaeme shows that he need some physical guy in d team and if w based it on skill,i don't think Nwakaeme w be picked ahead of even Kayode, also d late invitation of Aaron tells me Rohr want to match Cameroon physically and hope it pay at end of d day. I w not deceive u comparing Nwakaeme and Nacho is uncalled for coz for now Nacho is a player w cannot left out of d squad but hope Ighalo,Nwakaeme,Aaron can complement Nacho against Cameroon.Nacho statistics in eagles colours is a top notch and no coach w bench him. My hope is either Ighalo,Nwakaeme or Aaron, anyone picked among d trio should just do d needful but my fear is this can they pull d string coz this match is massive. As I said in my last post,i don't really rate Ighalo coz he hasn't prove himself in eagles colour despite d chances given to him,Nwakaeme i cannot say much,Rohr must have see something in him that warrant his invitation,i remembered Aaron during Keshi's reign,he showed good glimpses but can we say that now,his late call to replace injured Iwobi over Kayode shows that Rohr need physical guy as d arrow head against Cameroon. If w make it simple from d defence to midfield and to attack,Cameroon w definitely fall but believing physical presence of some guys in d team w do it then we are on a long thing. All we need is d chemistry and good combinations to rattle d lion.Honestly from d last squad that face SA,just d addition of Mikel,Moses,Leon and a front man(Ighalo,Nwakaeme, Aaron) that w free Nacho upfront, with this we are beating Cameroon. |

forgiveness: I am expecting a degree of professionalism, concentration and discipline from Ndidi to know he is the main DM we do not need him to going gung ho and foraging forward leaving the defence exposed. I expect good link up play from Onazi and tireless running literally box to box. Mikel is exceptional but i have doubts about his match fitness and ability to keep running box to box for 90 minutes. That is why Ndid and Onazi will have to be the water carriers freeing up Mikel to do his thing. I expect our right side wing back Ola to have an almost telepathic understanding with V. Moses and a goal from Aina should not be shocking if he overlaps effectively. |

The Cameroonians fear us as much as we fear them.. They ate coming to Uyo not to win but to cause an upset.. They are coming to frustrate us,park the bus or even injury our best players. Anything just to have an advantage in the return leg in Yaoundé. We mustn't allow it!! |

Danielnino00: Honestly I don't care about the outcome of that return leg in Yaoundé or Douala. What we just need is those 3points in Uyo and they are 'realistically' out. How? Cameroun are on 2points, Nigeria on 6points, a win for us in Uyo and we go to 9points while they remain on 2 points with 3 matches to go. Even if they win in Cameroun we will still be 4points clear with just 2 games left. Although we still need to put an eye on the Zambia- Algeria clashes. So as it stands the game in Uyo is more crucial to this tie than the one in Cameroon. But if Cameroon should get any form of result (GOD FORBID!) the tie in Cameroon becomes do or quench. 4 Likes |

goldfish80: I wonder where you got the notion I am against Aaron Samuel's inclusion. I see his addition to the squad to give the team a second option. My point is strictly against the term that physicality in front was our problem against South Africa. It was not but the lack of good final balls. Colin Udoh and you may sprout the addition of Samuel to the team as Rohr's fix to our problem against South Africa, neglecting the return of Mikel as a fix too. |

forgiveness: There is no need trying to create a diversion. This is not about a singular praise but the team playing well in the first half. Something that is going under the radar because we lost the match. I know you want to make your point sentimental but mine is based on the team's strategy. 1 Like |

I WILL PREFER WE GET THE MAXIMUM 3 POINT AT UYO if them like let them win 3-0 in younde with 9 point we wait for Zambia and take 3 =12 that settles it [quote author=Icon4s post=59934738] Honestly I don't care about the outcome of that return leg in Yaoundé or Douala. BascoVanVeli:Yeah,Kayode is good no doubt. He came on as a sub against SA but couldn't save us from defeat.Rohr wants to give others a chance. But that dosen't mean it's over for him.Anyone who scores among Ighalo,Nwakaeme and Aaron as a sub in Uyo bcoms a permanent member of the team. Rohr is adding physicality to his attack but that dosen't mean the physical players will start the Uyo game. One thing is sure our midfield combo will decide our fate. Inviting Ighalo,Aaron and Nwakaeme is Rohr's plan "B "for the Cameroon game. |

Nigerian players beat referee for awarding two late penalties in league game A referee in the Nigerian topflight was subjected to harassment after awarding two late penalties to the home team. Published: 12:40 , Refreshed: 13:12 Emmanuel Ayamga The Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) match between Niger Tornadoes and Ifeanyi Uba was marred by rowdiness after players of the away team nearly mobbed the centre referee. Niger Tornadoes edged their opponents by two goals to one, however, the game was thrown into confusion with the away team protesting the circumstances leading to the winning goal. The referee awarded two late penalties to the home side, which they successfully converted to seal the victory. But the away team, unpleased with both penalty calls, rushed to the referee and crowded him, with some players pushing him down. Attempts by players of the home team to shield the referee proved futile as the away side continued to harass the official.
