The first requirement for UI's PostUTME is getting 200 or above in UTME.Once you are cleared on this,your details must have been forwarded to the school.

The Departmentental Cut off mark shall be decided after the conduct of PostUTME.So,for now there's no idea of what that might be.NOTE that the departmental Cut off mark for each courses are decided by the total number of candidates,Admission Quota and pass rate.

For this reason...You need to prepare assiduously towards being one of the first 20 candidates for your department to heighten your admission chances.

Method of Application for the PostUTME form hasn't been announced thus You have to exercise patience.The Materials for PostUTME are very similar to that of UTME.

As an Aspiring Engineering Student,I'd advise you to use the 1990's UTME questions as your guide.

Solve these questions without the usage of calculator,maximize your speed because time is very limited.

I scored 262 in jamb and I also put University of ibadan as first choice to study Medicine and surgery.
Do I stand a good chance of getting admission for the course I put even after I must have written the post Ume aptitude test and scoring atleast 40 and above?

Initially,i selected political science as course to study,buh now due that ui will conduct p.utme am now thinking of switching pol.sci to philosophy which its cutoff point is 50 last year considered to pol.sci which is 62 inorder to hav better chance of being admitted.pls can i go on with my reasonings and the changes that i want to made??
Also, can u pls tell me d amount of students admitted to political science and philosphy department last year.

Use of English will still be your Lexis and structure, sound, stress and orals etc as in UTME, CRK will still be based from selected themes as in the Jamb brochure(don't be surprise they'll ask you 'What is the name of the wood used by Noah to build the Ark?).

Yoruba will still be like Use of English, while Literature in English will test your knowledge on General Literary Appreciation, Figures of Speech, some randomly selected text(2yrs ago, Joys of Motherhood was selected), Shakespearian Text will be given too. Some form of Greek, Roman or French Literature may feature too.

Read like you've not read at all, and practice using past questions.

For Medicine, 40+ won't work. Here are the UI cut-offs for medicine starting from 2012 when they started their post UTME:
2012-65

2013-70

2014-80

2015-74

2016-76.75 (though post UTME was not conducted, UTME+O'level aggregate was used)

2017-?
NOTE: I guess a score not above 78 for this year's cut-off for Medicine.
TIPS ON UI POST UTME loading..... 65%

University of ibadan admission last year was rigorous.
The point grading system was adopted where o'level was 50 and UTME 50

*O'lEVEL
A1-6points
B2-5points
B3-4points
C4-3points
C5-2points
C6-1point
Students o'level grades in the five relevants subjects were added together divided by 30 and then multiply by 50 I.e x/30 *50 =50

UTME
Jamb score was divided by 8
I.e y/8 =50
So your weighted score =50+50=100
