Bro, please is it possible that the rate in one branch of FBN is different from the rate in another branch? I have opted to do 365 days with a FBN branch in abuja here. I was told the bid is today. The money as been taken away from my account since last Wednesday. I hope there is no foul play. Thanks bro

The rates are the same in all their branches nationwide.

Hello all,

Has anyone in the house moved huge funds from bank to bank?

How was it done while incurring minimal transaction charges?

I need the information for a relative of mine. Movement is from GTBank to Stanbic, for Tbills purposes.

NOTE: Funds are legit and not dubiously acquired. I had to say this due to money laundering flags that may be raised.

Thank you in advance.

He said he simply filled out a Fund Transfer Form and passed it over the counter to the officer in charge. Waited and it was done. But for the one of N3m guess it was electronically via Fidelity Apps which he succeeded in upgrading to transfer as much as N4m at a go in one day.

Ebunoyeyemi, you are getting it wrong. Don't give wrong information to your boss. He subscribed for 91 days bills and therefore was given the appropriate interest amount. If he subscribed for 365 days bills, he will be given the full amount. You must understand that the rate is per annum (365 days) and therefore if you subscribe for less that that, your interest will be prorated accordingly.

Thank you so much, you made it simple and understandable. I asked my boss about TB yesterday and he said he won't do it again, that he did 1M for 91 days and all he got was 30 something thousand. I think he is not aware that the 13% was being divided into 4 and the the remaining 3/4 will be given to him after 364 days.

mumu graduate first and learnt how to calculate interest rates and devaluations of Naira over time then u can talk ...who told your tb is for money not needed now which university are u attending small boy?
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Nobody: 8:47pm On Aug 30, 2017
in 2012 i invested around 13 million naira in tb that about 81000 dollars ,dollar was 160 rate drop to 7 percent per anum around 2015 and pick up around 2017 when my investments was 20 m from compounding ....now do the calculation 20,000,000/360=55,000 dollars i have made a lost of 25000 dollar x360= 9 million naira just becos one useless apc and buhari scattered the naira ....i almost had high bp when the naira peak at 520 i almost died from daily devaluation news ...

2 .if i had just bought dollars and kept and sell @520 x81000 my investments capital will be 42 million naira

3 tb is not risk free there is risk of devalution and low rate

4.am not discouraging any one from tb investment but learn to spread your portfolio (dorm, land, blue chip stock, bond, rents,tb,business, salary)
5. we are hoping the naira to recover to 280 when dangote refinery start work then we are mitigate our loss from devaluation

am going to respond to u cos your are a veteran in investment ....i was responding to an earlier post where somebody complain that his oga say he will not do tb again cos of low interest that he invested 1 million and was given 30 k interest that is too low .then i commented that a business man will always find the the return on tb low compare to his trading activity..that he can generate 3 k daily trading with 1 million in computer village compare to 365 naira daily from tb...then one small boy till battling asu strike call me MR TOO KNOW ...is that fair

This Alikote needs to be banned. Seems he likes to initiate the same arguments over and over. And he does it, trying to abuse and denigrate other people. It's not cool. Do your business in peace, and let other people do their investment in peace. Don't make life unnecessarily hard for yourself.

Sorry bro, been away. So I went and met with the customer care who's started by telling me that I need to have an account with them first before I can proceed. I wasn't able to meet with the person in charge of TB. So I have initiated the process of opening acc with them.
