How can one bring dogs into the country?

Generally, if a building has columns, the walls themselves are no longer load bearing. Imagine the following for a 10-storey building: you put up columns, then slab, then columns on the that slab, then slab again. Technically you can reach the 10th storey without placing a single block, and the structure will stand. Then you can start laying blocks, and ideally the lighter/smaller, the better.

For bungalows, I've seen "columns" improvised with 9" blocks filled with cement. Sure it's a little stronger than the blocks without cement, but I feel this un-reinforced column is just a placebo (as in, it's a feel good with no real benefit) because any sheer will cause a collapse since there's no steel to keep concrete in tension.

You can carry government approved firearms via application to the police authorities but I don't think you will be allowed to carry sophisticated weapons, the police will tell you the once you can legally carry but I would have preferred to carry those types the US Marines used in smoking out Osama bin laden

I know Dogs, well-trained Dogs, work very well for home safety.

This is a classic example of why Dogs should never be chained down. Let them be well trained and then run patrol in the yard. You never know when they'll need to pounce into action.
