Uncle bigfido you're giving wrong info o. The form is for more clarification that's why It's an ADR. It's only the principal applicant that fills it and there's a space for spouse and dependent children over 18. (FILL for your spouse as well on the same document) If the space isn't enough use an extra sheet ( I used word). Proceed to scan your passports as you've said. Attach all documents and upload in the new place holder provided. Goodluck! Thanks so much... I have two new placeholders... both for the IMM 5562 |

CIC is unpredictable guys, let's just pray for favor over our applications. You said my mind. My AOR is July 13, family of 4 with 5countries travelled. I have 2 ADR already and only Medical Passed. Before Percee17's timeline was shared, I had erroneously thought my application is slow because of family size and travel history. I now know it's case by case. Woww, less than 30days! May mine not delay too much too. This waiting game is killing. 7 Likes |

Hello Ewa agoyin you too worry o.. Calm down and take a deep breath. You need to fill your own form and your spouse needs to fill his. You don't need to scan old passports. Just scan the present one you have into one file and send to them. The way you are going, don't complicate your application. Give onl requirements. Don't over load your app with info they don't need. By the time your application goes for fraud screening, you will have a lot of documents for them to work on. So give them only what is required. Pm me if you need anything. I remember you from giving birth column. You sef epp me there o hahaha I also remember you lol... thanks |

yimiton: I think it was updated sometime in July this year.
Hopefully, it won't delay the process being that we sent the document almost immediately after AOR before they start processing the application, but again, it's better to delay than to be denied because a result that wasn't attached.
When was your AOR?

Alhamdulillah!!! We give God all the glory.
IELTS Result came in December and I had 8,7,7.5,7 Serious research on Canada PR didn't start until I sat for IELTS, all I knew before then was- I want to go to Canada and good IELTS score is the starting point. So I prepared for the test with a state of mind that I must pass reasonably, had no idea of how 8 is better than 7.5 on the CRS tool. I just prepared well & never underestimated the exam. I believe all exams (no matter how simple it may seem) have principles one must understand. Also, there is no exam too easy to leave out of prayer point, even the mighty can fall in strange ways. Kudos to the gurus getting mad scores like 9988, how una dey do am?
ECA I read the best I could read from CIC website every day from the day I sat for IELTS and didn't even know about this thread then. I just google-check when I have doubts and this thread usually top the search results, kudos to everyone...that was how I started visiting. I decided to use WES for my ECA for some odd reasons, perhaps cos IQAS redirected me to one Alberta webpage like that and I was there like 'why a province page' lol. Also I figured WES should be useful in the future because of different category of ECA I found on their page. I didn't even give the other ones (ICAS or ICES or...) a thought cos of their processing time, when it is not free of charge fa. My ECA took 4months because I was "jonzing". I believed ETX-NG will process my transcript online so I didn't go to the school to influence it on time. My transcript got ready and delivered to WES within 4days of influencing it. Their excuse was "we can't locate your file", so my brother did the file search himself.
I actually evaluated both Bsc and Msc, that was what I thought to do to the best of my understanding. Here is why (culled from CIC website) "If your assessment report shows that your completed foreign credential is equal to a completed Canadian one, you can include this information in your Express Entry profile. You will get points under the CRS for your highest credential found equal to a completed Canadian one" (this part explains getting point for the highest degree)...moving on... "You may be eligible to receive points for certain combinations of two post-secondary credentials (whether Canadian, foreign equivalent or a combination of both). If you are invited to apply for permanent residence, you will need to include your ECA reference number when you apply" (this part explains the first 50marks under skill transferability factor with good English test, which I believe I would have gotten 25marks for if I didn't provide ECA for my Bsc, I wasn't ready to take chances). I would like someone who evaluated highest credential only and got the full points under skill transferability factor to weigh in, I want to believe people that advocate evaluating only highest credential have their reasons. But this is my own understanding of it which can possibly help someone looking for all the scores she can have.
WES completed my ECA in exactly 20business days after receiving all documents and institution verification. So before we complain about WES, I will say we should learn to fix the issues in our naija insitutions with lots of crap before taking our complaints up on other issuing authorities that have rules and follow most (if not all) of them.
WEDDING REGISTRY I have included this on my timeline because it happened along the line and people usually ask at what point they should get married during the EE process. As much as it is a personal decision to make, it should be pre-planned as getting married at some point in the application process can complicate things and give small headache. Yes, we had plans of getting married, EE only brought the registry date closer than our imagination.
I had calculated my score as single and as married (without spouse ECA&IELTS). With the way the trend was, the score as married was sufficient to get us an ITA-445 We went to court like 3 weeks after ECA report came and before entering the pool because I was almost certain that score will get us an ITA. We were not ready for the part of having to notify CIC of change in status, adding required documents, the anxiety of their response and whatever delay comes with change of status. So we just did court wedding and faced the whole journey together. Getting married post AOR or Post PPR is not bad either, it all depends on you and how well you have the ability to keep calm,CIC is very unpredictable.
But on a personal note, I will advise anyone to get married before ITA, if possible or after AOR. But leaving out your to-be spouse completely with a target to sponsor him/her later is not even an advisable option to explore.
ITA I dived into the pool as soon as I returned from the wedding registry journey and got ITA in about 24hours. Then I joined nairaland because I was having POF analysis paralysis, lol.
Post ITA All other things were actually in place within few days except this POF of a thing. My account was always busy with activities of fund, so huge deposit comes in and goes out to different people in bits (family errands), it was running like that 7months before ITA. The day ITA will come, my balance was one ridiculous amount like that, less than 200k, Oluwa how do I explain this! 200k out of about 4m, chai. 60% of my POF was credited in my account barely 2hours post ITA and the balance came after a week. These are from sources I have been pestering because of fear of low balance post ITA, but there is limit to what you can do about money that you are planning to "own". I used a gift deed to support the larger chunk of the POF and allowed the fund to breath there for like 4weeks before printing statement and submitting.
Confirmation of signature was all GTB was able to give, I attached 77pages long bank statement. And spent the whole day scanning, resizing, merging, and compressing to 4MB...very tiring something!
Post AOR Checking people's timeline on this thread became the order of the day. The wait was not easy, a lot of things kept running through my mind. But I must say we are indeed lucky to have applied at this time and benefit from the short processing time, how do people survive silence from that end for 6 months or more. It is not easy to take the mind off it, not even when PPR rain falls anyhow on this thread, and anxiety of July AOR peeps on the thread no be here, y'all made me feel like, Oh, so I am even calmer than some people, lol.
I wish everyone expecting one good news or the other all the best. Ace IELTS! Pass meds! Successful BGCs!It is not a 1 size fit all affair, every application has its own uniqueness. In all, I must say we should learn to read, read and read. This Canada journey is a journey of research, faith, patience, honesty, and of course money spending! It can be very disturbing to see people asking question as ridiculous as "how do I check my IELTS result", "can I use expired passport to register for IELTS" on a very educative thread like this,haba...is that even a question. My dear, the same data used in asking that can be used in asking google! Oya, no vex. . Make some effort first and seek guidance on something confusing. CIC has all the information you need and page 0 of this thread answers MOST of the basic questions, someone even got angry because he/she was told to read page 0, lol.
As for the financial commitment, you do not necessarily need to have all the funds before you start, but start somewhere and have a workable plan! Things will fall in place with God on your side, but you have to do your best also and trust Him. Anyway, that is for the stuggling ones among us, there are some OmoBabaOlowo that POF and other expenses got nothing on them.
I wish everyone all the best every step of the way! May God bless the brain behind this thread and everyone that has contributed to its growth.
