The Lagos Airport is a cesspit of corruption. All the Immigration officials from A-Z are corrupt in that airport. An airport should be a good avenue to show how good Nigeria and how welcoming Nigerians are, however, the contrary is the case.

The 2 months visa she received at the Nigerian embassy doesn't mean she is allowed to be in the country for 2 months, how long she is allowed to be in the country is based on the discretion of the immigration officer who stamped her in. I'm guessing she was stamped in for 30 days, but she stayed for 5 weeks. If my permutation is correct, she overstayed and is subject to a fine. This is how it's done worldwide. A Nigerian who gets a 6 month visit visa to the UK/US doesn't mean he/she can stay in the UK/US for 6 months, how long he/she stays is dependent on the immigration officer at Heathrow/JFK who stamps him/her in.

We all know our public institutions reek of corruption, no news there.
