Congrats to all the new ppr recipients.

Please house, I would like to know; Is the schedule A form requested for everyone with history of past visa refusals? I can't seem to locate any questions on the form relating to details of the past visa refusals. Thanks

Hi Feygbe, please do you have any contact at records department UNILORIN they have refused to send my transcript. Its over 3weeks now after making necessary payment.
Feygbe:

I also had my transcripts sent to WES USA Instead of WES Canada.

Here's what I did: I called WES USA and kindly implored them to send the transcripts to WES Canada, explaining it was sent to them in error.
Shikena! They sent it free to WES Canada and asked me to kindly write the correct address next time grin

Please I need help on this. There is wisdom in multitude of counsel. Please help as I dont want to get rejected over small issue abeg!

Dewys1:
Good people of nairaland, I need your counsel. So I am about to start ECA for wifey. Now the issue.
1. We got married in 2014, but we later found out that the marriage certificate we were given was a Local govt own and thus we may not be able to travel with it.
2. With the new status, wifey obtained her international passport in 2015 bearing the new surname
3. In 2016 we went to Federal marriage registry Ikoyi to have a registry wedding where we got the federal certificate.
4. Now the issue is this: she has started bearing the new surname on her intl passport before the wedding date on the federal certificate.

I hope that will not cause an issue with the ECA and most importantly with the CIC application.

Pls help to dissect

Just to clarify the "highest qualification" issue with a practical experience as requested: My wife (the PA) evaluated her highest qualification only with IQAS and got the full points for skill transferability. This is consistent with IRCC's guidelines.

Wish you success in your next move.

I used my marriage certificate from a Local government too, CIC did not raise any issues at all. You should be fine.

I don't think you should worry too much about the ECA; that can be explained in your PR application. In my opinion, a properly worded letter of explanation and/or affidavit should take care of the above concerns. Please let others also weigh in on this....

Ok, thank you. Thought it would be ok if I do mine first since we're yet to be married officially.

So, I was thinking of doing mine before adding spouse /child. Since dates will differ.

Advice please.

Then you don't have a spouse (No puns intended).
Since you are not married, then there no need to add her on to the application.

Good luck!

My observation;

-Not aware of any requirement of 6 months validity on Treasury Bills
-There are people that have submitted as POF Tbills that they did just before AOR and have gotten PPR.
-It is clear that IRCC accepts Tbills as POF without reference to the tenor. However, many applicants "play safe" by doing 3-6 months Tills and/or submitting a bank statement.

It appears that you have this idea because of IRCC's requirement of 6 month average balance for a statement of account. However, I haven't come across any information that they stipulate tenor for Tbills. You can do what you feel comfortable with. Cheers!

@ANBAKO: Good to have you back on the thread.

The child will need to be added as a dependent. So POF still needs updating. It will be a good idea to either marry now ( if it won't take CRS points below ITA draw score) or after AOR.

Good day.. my situation is different. Wiffey is yet to get international passport. We have been married since 2016 ( no official change of name yet) I am concern on which name to use on her passport. Except for marriage certificates( ikoyi registry) all other documents carries her maiden name.

Hello House,

I just wanted to ask if been a single parent limits your chances of PPR. A friend is interested but she is a single parent although she has sole custody of her child and the father is willing to sign a consent letter saying is aware they want to relocate and he is fine with it, since the guy has moved on already and someone else is pregnant for him, which is what lead to the marriage break up. The child in questions is 2 years old and an american citizen

Bro, abt faxing to WES one's certificate with hellofax.com, how do they do it? It is not mine but how do they know it is u? Is it in order to write reference number on the faxed page which the scanbed copy if one's cert or in a separate page? Making it two pages! I used NIPOST when I did mine.

I don't think being a single parent limit chances of PPR. She must be ready to answer a lot of questions. A major proactive step is getting the written consent of the father at hand so that there will be no long stories later. Let me add that Canada is very "sympathetic" to women somehow (don't quote me though).

Good luck!

It is ur call..go with ur last name or not or bring it in, in addition. It is ur choice. Some apple don't change their name at all..it is rare in Africa but it is accepted in developed world.
