Icon4s: Yes. But the Egyptians will come all out for them in Alexandria on Monday. Meanwhile, Uganda are yet to concede a goal in this qualifying series. They held Ghana to a 0-0 in... Accra; beat Congo Republic 1-0 |

Micho really did a good job with that team. I still wonder why he jumped the ship to Pirates. Uganda is still reaping his good works. Clementoke: |

safarigirl: I know you are an Egyptian fan. From what I saw from the Ugandans today they mean business and want to be in the world cup. They dominated the Egyptians until they scored. I wouldn't be surprised if they pick a draw in Egypt. |

Icon79:Sorry to say this, but you basically sat behind your screen and typed nonsense. I never saw or read any comment you made about goalkeepers height. This is crazy. It's even more absurd to think you're thw reason why I belive goalkeepers should be tall, when I can't recall you making any comment about goalkeepers and height. What a megalomaniac dude you are. A kindergarten kid will be ashamed to type this nonsense you cooked up. |

forgiveness: I admire your optimism. Tega is on loan at Villa, not really good enough to force his way into the first team at the moment. In addition he is player I have watched since he was 15/16 both in training and in live matches to the current stage he is in. Currently, he is not better than Etebo,he is a work in progress but he is moving up. As they are both Uhrobo sons i cannot be accused of tribalism LOL. However, the other Tega is looking extra sharp and a true premiership striker with Swansea. |

Huge win for Uganda. They stand a great chance of qualifying. They have not conceded any goal. |

Even if Egypt beats Uganda in Cairo. Their last game is in Accra and they are no guarantees in that game. |

If I were to be Rohr, I'll sit Iheanacho on the bench due to his lack of game time and start Mikel as AMF with Ndidi and Ogu as DMF and CMF respectively. Something like this: Ezenwa; Echiejile-Leon-Ekong-Aina; Ndidi-Ogu; V.Moses-Mikel-Etebo; Ighalo. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by nelszx: 4:26pm On Aug 31, 2017 |
AIG07: Your head is there.....Your lineup is spot on Ogu would be a preferable choice cos he'd be intimidating to the Lions and he'll provide more cover should Ndidi moves forward. |

Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by AIG07: 4:30pm On Aug 31, 2017 |
My major concern going into tomorow's game is our RB. I 've no worry for our LB. Echiejile has Moses and the two of them will be enough to curtail either of Bassongog or Moukandjo. But that right back seem to be our weekest link. I hope our Defensive Midfielders(Onazi or Ndidi) will come to the party-they need to be disciplined. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by AIG07: 4:32pm On Aug 31, 2017 |
Icon4s:LB with Moses too on the same flank. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Icon4s(m): 4:39pm On Aug 31, 2017 |
AIG07:Who plays LB? Echiejile or Aina? |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by AIG07: 4:39pm On Aug 31, 2017 |
nelszx:sure, Ndidi is mobile. But I'll prefer him to stay Disciplined and stick to his main assignment of shielding the defence and Ogu's height should be enough going forward either from corners or freekicks. Starting Ndidi will give us an advantage since he can also play as CB and incase of an injury at the central defence he can easily be deployed there if there is need to re-enforce our attack without wasting substitution quota. |

I wonder why it takes FIFA ages to change Nationalities of Nigerian players. Zahar, Benik Afobe didn't take this long.. What are they waiting for to switch Ainas nationality.. Eye yam not understanding.. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by komekn(m): 4:52pm On Aug 31, 2017 |
Joebie: I can assure you 100% that Sone Aluko exclusion had nothing WHATSOEVER to do with ability but everything to do with SETTLEMENT and a complete lack of understanding of egunje politics and or a refusal to play the game the Nigerian way. Do your homework, consider Gabriel Rueben, signed a 3 year contract with lowly Kilmarnock played maybe 30 minutes was so bad he never played all season and was released shockingly he went to the World cup for us meanwhile Aluko was a regular for Hull in the EPL. Check who Reuben's is agent was at the time and the arrangements concerning match bonuses, and you may be opening a very smelly can of worms, I am mindful of defamation his agent was Tony Harris. Consider players who were omitted and mediocre players like Uchebo and others were selected and you know big wahala deh many questions arise that are indicative of sharp practices. 1 Like |
