Thank you very much for your detailed response.

tribeD:
Hello SpecimenXY,
Below is what is stated in CICC:

What we accept as proof

Funds must be readily available to you. For example, you can't use equity on real property as proof of settlement funds.

The funds must be available both when you apply and when (if) we issue you a permanent resident visa. You must prove to an immigration officer that you can legally access them to use to settle here when you arrive.

For proof, you must get official letters from any banks or financial institutions where you are keeping money.

Letter(s) must:

be printed on the financial institution’s letterhead
include their contact information (address, telephone number and email address)
include your name
list outstanding debts such as credit card debts and loans
include, for each current bank and investment account:
account numbers
the date each account was opened
the current balance of each account
the average balance for the past six months

From our own experience, we had TB 3 month b4 we got ITA (from my spouse's account). In short the TB matured 2 weeks before we got ITA but the money was still in our account. So we quickly put the money in TB for another 3 months(in my account) and scanned the TB certificates as PoF. You can also print and scan the current exchange rate from xe.com to show that the amount you have in TB is sufficient for the number of persons under you application as specified by CICC.

If you dont have the money in TB prior to ITA, you can print out your account statement for the period you had the required amount prior to ITA. If its not up to 6 months, you can then apply for TB, attach the TB certificate with your bank statement and that should suffice.

It's not IRCC that will do the conversion rate for our local banks. The N230 was once the prevailing rate when IRCC hosted that information.

As at today, the bank will slam you from N287 to some figures above N300 (atleast GTB charges way above N300 to 1 CAD using your naira MasterCard).

The prevailing rate is bank dependent....

I know the banking rate is higher. Its actually for POF as talking about.

Congrats to all the new ppr recipients.

Please house, I would like to know; Is the schedule A form requested for everyone with history of past visa refusals? I can't seem to locate any questions on the form relating to details of the past visa refusals. Thanks

Help please.
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 2 by billy: 6:04pm On Aug 31, 2017
Hello All,

Please note that today's rate if you are using GTB Naira MasterCard is N298.35 to 1 Canadian Dollar.

I learnt FCMB offers a better lower rate that GTB, so you can check them out as well.

Thought to share....

The first page of schedule A has information related to past visa refusals, with space for details.

It was noted to have been requested from those with past visa refusals making some people opt to include it upfront.

Hello my people.

I am a bit confused about something. I am still in the ECA/IELTS stage. my question is about the travel history / PCC. I travelled to UK for holidays as a child and I am sure the cumulative is more than 6months. But after 18years, cumulative of 3months,not at a stretch. Do I need PCC from UK? I have 4 old passports in my maiden name, will I need to upload all data page and stamped pages of everything when the time comes?

You said my mind. My AOR is July 13, family of 4 with 5countries travelled. I have 2 ADR already and only Medical Passed. Before Percee17's timeline was shared, I had erroneously thought my application is slow because of family size and travel history. I now know it's case by case. Woww, less than 30days! May mine not delay too much too. This waiting game is killing.
haaaaa some of us have been waiting since May o

I don't think being a single parent limit chances of PPR. She must be ready to answer a lot of questions. A major proactive step is getting the written consent of the father at hand so that there will be no long stories later. Let me add that Canada is very "sympathetic" to women somehow (don't quote me though).

Good luck!
In my case I am a single mom never being married. My son is 13 years and his father is married. I have been taking all responsibilities, can't I apply without the father's consent? We don't really get along.

Please how do I get the forms listed below:

☐ UPDATED FAMILY INFORMATION: You must advise us of any change in your marital status or family composition. All family members must be listed on your IMM008 and Additional Family Information forms. Failure to comply may result in a delay in the issuance of your visa.

These forms were not attached.

Thanks for the assistance

"Additional Family Information" was not part of the requirement for me. It is either a new requirement or it is specific to your situation.

Couldn't fill the IMM008 completely so I supported it with a cover letter and wrote boldly that there has been no changes in my family composition. Experience shows that either is acceptable especially if your family composition has not changed. Interestingly, some have submitted without including the IMM008 and yet no issues since their family configuration remains unchanged but there is no harm in playing safe.

@Remxyj: Kindly share the links to the two forms. Thank you smiley
