The following are some of the Waffi proverbs I heard but failed to comply to. I'm feeling the repercussions. I hope those reading this learn from my mistake:

1. na small sh1t dey stain yansh meaning - the little evil we tend to do, can aggravate to something serious.

I decided to give 'head' for the first and last time about two years ago, the thing backfired as i've been having discomfort in my throat ever since. I get disconcerted and nauseating at times. 'avoid woman 4 school' i nor hear. I pray i don't turn another tito vilanova. It could be what i swallowed though.

2. The mess(fart) wey person hide mess for bottom river, the gbudugbudu (bubbles) go dey show for up meaning - nothing is hidden under the sun.

I was the type that would secretly do things i was adviced not to. I would play dice back den with coveted money in a cladenstine way but my mum always found out when creditors (gbese) dey my head. then, i would watch all sort of telemundo soap opera (elina ghost, aurora, morena, cruel love etc) in my Off campus house and deceive my parents i was reading. Bonfire sef i attend, e don backfire

3. na were two trees near each oda, nai monkey take dey show imself meaning - we tend to get carried away by the little privilege we have.

I remember one period when there was no money in my hand, i was so humble like a catholic who just finished confession. I would eat anything i see at home. Just when i laid my hands on 5k, i enta bar take 3 satzenbrau, then best gin. I nor gree pick anyone's call. I reach aboki man side, eat yam and egg den chop suya. After dat, i enta eba wit 3 meat. Den beans and plantain to round off.

I staggered home singing 'too much money, problem how to spend it.......' god punish poverty sad. I later regretted it as constipation and flatulence became my companion. Mumsi nor also look my side for three days.

4. Etsako adage -@ukia leme ne me kio (an okro tree nor dey big pass e owner.
(b) ema teh dey mah eh (u get to a certain stage before u do some things on your own)

Both sayings were ignored by me. I didn't always follow advice. That explains why i might never leave my mother's house. No foundation to work on. I used my young dreams while growing up to play 'devil's number.' which normal person thinks more of girls than diligence.
