TheGoodJoe:

Ruben Gabriel did not take Aluko's place. There is no need bringing unrelated issues. The question is why was Aluko not invite. Answer was Babatunde and Azeez. Mikel could also play there. Aluko was a surplus.

Aluko was not invited because he did not settle full stop.

Rueben Gabriel under no circumstances merited a call up, Uchebo, Nwafor, and a few others. Aluko was doing well in the EPL and was not invited.

You are trying to rationalise what is not rational it's futile, unless you just want to play devil's advocate.

Overall, we still need Aluko in this SE team.

Why bring Ruben Gabriel in? Because the Bribery allegation as reason for Aluko not making it will fail.

it has always being a tough one when ever the SUPER EAGLES of Nigeria and THE INDOMITIBLE LIONS of cameroon couple with the recent statistics of the SUPER EAGLES at the uyo stadium which has make many to think the EAGLES will loose as usual and many has also drop the opinion that things will change this time around.

Read my comment carefully and take note of the @bolded, then tell me how the goalpost take change.

read my post again are you saying he was undeserving of a call up when he was invited because according to you his prime was between 12-14 was it not 2014 we played that friendly against mexico?

A strong performance by Ezenwa might give him the number 1 shirt for the forseeable future till Enyeama returns.

My prediction, 2:1 Nigeria win.

I know you are an Egyptian fan.

From what I saw from the Ugandans today they mean business and want to be in the world cup. They dominated the Egyptians until they scored.

I wouldn't be surprised if they pick a draw in Egypt.
7-tin3 African champs that haven't been to the World Cup? It's an injustice and a disservce to them, so of course, I would prefer if they made it.

Like I said, give it a fortnight

I like the way some people are just casually throwing insults at others on this thread and everyone is watching silently. I mean, it's disgusting, but fun.

For future engagements, just in case I want to exercise this new freedom, please, no one should take advantage and attack me on behalf of his friend/associate. Let it be just me and my chosen rival as you guys have let it be.

I also like the camaraderie shown by 'likers' of such debasing comments. I know that when I do choose to engage someone, all my haters will show similar camaraderie to said person.

Let us all be part of this idiotic dick-riding contest smiley

Tega and Lookman are still possibilities with regards to Solanke I've never spoken to him so do not know.

It's really about continous engagement and relationship. Our approach sucks to put it mildly.

Your assumptions are wrong when these boys were relatively unknown why did we not engage with them.

Our approach can be likened to long lost cousins who forgot and rejected you when alarm deh blow and nuttin deh hand. When you come begin blow, we say Ah my Bro. remember me oh. What would you do in those circumstances

What about the ones like Agbonlahor whom we invited while they were at the English youth teams?? Some of these guys when they were "unknowns" probably weren't better than what we had. When someone like say Adebayor propped up (i.e around 04), we certainly had better strikers than him.
Yes you could say we should do better in regards to scouting, but I'm sorry if these foreign born players aren't /weren't better than the options we had when they were "unknowns", why should we invite them? NFF needs to better in terms of scouting, but we should be careful not to overpander some of these guys because they are foreign born.

thank you.

All these special method of approach on top say person just lucky wey dem born am abroad, I certainly don't understand it

As far as I am concerned, the best thing NFF can do is set up some form of scouting team not just in UK, but in places like Germany, Belgium and Netherlands for foreign borns and maybe open a camp twice in a year for interested souls

This idea of follow up, reach out, visit this one and that one, why? Anybody that wants to play for Nigeria should reach out too, no be only NFF go dey reach out. We have players in the national team in most parts of Europe, interested parties can meet them and express such interest.

All this petting some people are suggesting is nauseating, when we no dey pet the ones wey dey naija, why will we pet those abroad? angry

Hello lady and gentlemen.

Oga forgiveness and his buhahahaha tho.

I don't understand all this settling things of Ruben, agbim, etc.

I don't know what make you guys to think they bought their place with money. Sometimes mere preferences of coaches plays a role.

And this Akuko,, Akuko,, aluko undecided
He's good no doubt but at the moment, he's not exceptional. The mindset of "because he no settle" is uncalled for. The guy is not too good

By the way,,,, we re winning Cameroun Home and Away grin

I suggest we hold a prayer session for today's match.

Sir Forgiveness, Icon4s, komekn and thegoodjoe shall all lead us cos I see the spirit of the most high God in them and the passion for our success..Binding any opposing spirit against our Super eagle's victory.

At Victoria Ascerta, Safarigirl, tbaba1234, joebie, joseph and and chrismario shall lead us in Thanksgiving prayers to appreciate the Almighty for our victory. They are pure in heart!

That is what the lord whispered to me

Happy new month to you all as we begin with victory.

Uganda have not shed blood, sweat and tears for a world cup ticket like generations of Egypt have.

It's nice to see small teams battle with the big dogs, but everyone must earn their spot. If they can manage third place at any AFCON tournament, fine, they'll earn the right. For now, almost has to be enough

For the sake of justice and fairness, Egypt and Senegal are two teams I need to see at that world cup

Let us pray and commit this match into the hand of God!

Father, the most high God, the God of ineffable grandeur, we worship and laud you for your immeasurable and everlasting love and mercies upon our lives. Even right before we were formed in our mothers womb, you already knew us and ordained us. What a breathtaking God you are! smiley

Father, we commit this match into your hands, and we pray for your favour upon the Super Eagles. Father we rely on you for our victory in this encounter, yes wholly on you! not even our tactics, strategies and efforts. Although we have our game plans, strategies and efforts but your word said “trust in the Lord and lean not unto thy own understanding.” It was not the stones that David used in the battle against Goliath that killed him, it was your grace! Apostle Paul said he “planted” and another “watered” but you are the one that gave “increase.” Father, we declare that no tactics or strategies fashioned against us shall not prosper, for our righteousness is from you! Instead they will all work together for our good as said in your word because you said that you will “watch over your words to perform them.”

Father take absolute control and let everything that will happen in and outside the pitch give you glory and let them go as how you plan it. We pray that the stadium be filled with your success yielding presence.

Father we thank you for prayers answered in Jesus name we pray, Amen!

I agree with you completely from the players selected. However, I have concerns about Ogu he is not fast and mobile enough and tends to be more defensive minded and doesn't offer an offensive threat.

This will be a fast paced game and suspect he could be left behind in that regard Onazi gives us more.
