Joebie:Yes, His fairness has been made available to everyone, but why is it that some people relish his love more than others? because they have learnt to trust him in. That is how you receive and enjoy the love that He has made available. the difference between Daniel and those that the lion consumed in the same lions den was that Daniel “believed in His God,” according to the scriptures. Psalms 34:8 “O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.” |

Nigeria/Cameroon: Cameroon Tips Bassogog to Counter Moses The presence of Victor Moses in the Super Eagles' squad to take on Cameroon this evening has created fears in the Indomitable Lions' camp ahead of the clash. A Cameroonian journalist who is apparently in Nigeria for the big clash hinted of a possible 'mark out Victor Moses' role assigned to a player or two while Christian Bassogog who plys his trade with Henan Jianye in the Chinese Super League will also be doing whatever the Chelsea wing back is doing. Sports Village Square revealed from the Cameroon publication that Victor Moses is a well celebrated player by both Nigerian and Cameroonian supporters According to cameroun-info.net, a Nigerian supporter, Achibong Essien remarked; "I do not currently see any African player who has the level of Victor Moses. He is a world-class striker. With his arrival, we are pretty sure that Nigeria will win against Cameroon". The Cameroonians are looking forward to a confrontation of Moses and their own star man, Christian Bassogog as players likely to shape the outcome of Friday's match. The Cameroon web partly attributed Nigeria's home loss to South Africa to the absence of Moses and recalled his brace against Algeria last November. But the publication feels that what Moses can do, Bassogog could also do. It recalled Bassogog's brilliance at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon where he was named the best player. His goal against Ghana in the semi-finals of the CAN makes is evergreen. The former Aalborg striker is also making an incredible season in China having scored seven goals and making six assists. He is therefore the striker Cameroon is looking up to assist the better known Vincent Aboubakar in delivering possible goals. "We have to beat Nigeria if we want to stay alive in these qualifications and we will have to take the game on our own and beat them," Bassogog was quoted by FIFA.com as saying. http://allafrica.com/stories/201709010030.html |

Ailing Nigerian goalkeeper, Carl Ikeme, cracks a joke Nigerian international goalkeeper Carl Ikeme felt able to crack a joke on transfer deadline day in England despite lying in hospital being treated for acute leukaemia. The 31-year-old — who plays for second tier English side Wolverhampton Wanderers —tweeted a picture of himself from hospital where he has been receiving treatment since last month. “BREAKING NEWS. Ikeme transfers from one room to another! Medical under way,” tweeted Ikeme, who affixed a picture of himself lying back on his bed with his thumb raised. BREAKING NEWS: Ikeme transfers from one room to another !! Medical underway#longday#stillsmile#TransferDeadlinepic.twitter.com/PXiKhLLSGL— Carl Ikeme (@Carl_Ikeme) August 31, 2017 The England-born goalkeeper — capped 10 times — returned “abnormal blood tests” during pre-season testing and further checks confirmed the diagnosis that he had leukaemia. Wolves have retained Ikeme in their number one shirt this season and fans, players and oppositions are paying tribute to him at regular intervals. http://punchng.com/ailing-nigerian-goalkeeper-carl-ikeme-cracks-a-joke/ 2 Likes 1 Share |

safarigirl:the problem wit cuper's team.... (Egypt ) is the over Reliance on sallah's pace..... the coach operate a counter attacking style of play...that relay so much on fast pace wingers....and sallah happens to be a tool to effect that strategy. they're really not too star packed...wit individual talents.... if they are gonna qualify they will have to go extra mile....because for now...I see Ghana likely claiming that spot...considering coach Appiah return as Ghana's coach... I will prefer Ghana.....scale through. they tend to offer much at the big stage... they almost won Germany in the last world cup...if not for some of the front men selfishness |

Leaked – Rohr Drops Leicester City Star Iheanacho, Etebo From Super Eagles Starting XI Kelechi Iheanacho is the major casualty in the starting line up of the Super Eagles for today’s World Cup 2018 Qualifiers tie against Cameroon in Uyo, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal. Leaks gathered by Owngoalnigeria.com from their final training session can confirm coach Gernot Rohr has settled for a front three of Moses Simon, Odion Ighalo and Victor Moses. The trio were the attackers the manager spent time with in yesterday’s close door session with emphasis on exploiting the apparent lack of pace in the defence of Cameroon. Oghenekaro Etebo was also not in the squad that did tactical drills with the coach as vice captain Ogenyi Onazi alongside captain John Obi Mikel are expected to be in the midfield with Wilfred Ndidi. Here is how they lined up in yesterday’s close door session, which was their final tune up for today’s clash against Cameroon. Ikechukwu Ezenwa (GK) Shehu Abdullahi Elderson Echiejile William Troost-Ekong Leon Balogun Wilfred Ndidi John Obi Mikel Ogenyi Onazi Moses Simon Victor Moses Odion Ighalo http://owngoalnigeria.com/2017/09/01/leaked-rohr-drops-leicester-city-star-iheanacho-etebo-from-super-eagles-starting-xi/ 1 Like |

Aaron Samuel Disappoints In Eagles Close Door Session, Ighalo Shines, Ogu Impressive Details of the Super Eagles close door session which took place yesterday at the venue of their game against Cameroon has been leaked to Owngoalnigeria.com . The session started with the usual warm up drills before the coach started technical and tactical drills with the players who are expected to start in tomorrow’s World Cup 2018 Qualifiers clash. Owngoalnigeria.com won’t be revealing the various aspect of the drills rather we will focus on the performance of the players when the coach divided them into two groups for a small game. Chanchung Yatai’s forward Odion Ighalo impressed with his finishing and overall play. The former Watford man looked very fit during the course of the training drill and also sharp in the box. John Ogu was another player who put in a good shift during the session, as he covered lots of grounds, won possession at ease and also came out top in aerial duels not forgetting his fine ball distribution as well. The battle for starting shirts made the session very competitive, but one player who did his chances a whole lot of no good was CSKA Moscow forward Aaron Samuel. Samuel was lethargic, heavy and slow in attack for his team, he also gave away possession easily under pressure and overall looked a shadow of the player who once madeSudan looked ordinary in one of the first set of games he played for Nigeria. http://owngoalnigeria.com/2017/08/31/aaron-samuel-disappoints-in-eagles-close-door-session-ighalo-shines-ogu-impressive/ Ogu keeps “impressing” during drills and yet he doesn't get to start, so what is the essence of drills then? is it not to determine those that are best fit to prosecute the game? 1 Like |

blueto: What the is even wrong with this Own goal Nigeria?? Can't they keep their mouth shut. But if this report is true, then its not a bad lineup.. Etebo can come in the 2nd half and do some damages.. We should try everything to keep our best players fit for the second leg cus that's where the Cameroonians have the biggest advantage Modified: Ndidi and Onazi midfield combo isn't a good idea.. It failed against SA,why risk it again? 1 Like |

Whenever i hear of onazi & ndidi midfield combo for nigeria i worry, because they are recipe for counter attack against us. They leave so much space behind venturing forward. We need disciplined/seasoned defensive midfielders. Our two guys should be one stationary, the other roaming. My choice will rather be Mikel/Onazi, Ogu/Ndidi, or Onazi/Etebor. |

blueto: Moses Simon have worked his way into becoming a main stay of the Super Eagles. It's time fans respect the man. The Camerounian team have a below average left-back. Simon should be charged to take him on as often as possible and skin him alive. I guess Ndidi will start ahead of Etebo to balance up the height deficiency against the tall Camerounians. 1 Like |

Good decision from Ideye if true. I wish him a career rebirth. Super Eagles Striker Brown Ideye Joins La-Liga Side On Loan From Tiajin Teda Brown Ideye has left Chinese side Tiajin Teda for Spanish La-Liga outfit Alaves on a season long loan deal, bringing a temporary halt to his adventure in the Far East. Ideye passed a routine medical yesterday with the La-Liga side to beat the deadline for European transfers but some documents are yet to arrive from the Chinese side, hence the reason why his move has not been made official. The 28 year old moved to Tiajin Teda in February, but what was supposed to be a dream financial move turned out into a nightmare after a row with the coach lead to his demotion to the reserves. His spot as a foreign player in the squad was given to Ghanaian forward Frank Acheampong who joined on loan from Belgium side Anderlecht, leaving the Nigerian with no choice than to leave. In the past he has represented Sochaux, Dynamo Kiev, West Brom and Olympiakos from where he moved to China, and he will be hoping his move to Alaves helps him remain in the plans of the national team coach of Nigeria Gernot Rohr. http://owngoalnigeria.com/2017/09/01/super-eagles-striker-brown-ideye-joins-la-liga-side-on-loan-from-tiajin-teda/ 2 Likes |
