read my post again are you saying he was undeserving of a call up when he was invited because according to you his prime was between 12-14 was it not 2014 we played that friendly against mexico?

The question is, why was he ignored for 3 years before he was called and when he was called once, why did the coach benched him until the 71 minutes?

In 2014, we know Imoh mind don dey go Qatar. grin

Moses Simon have worked his way into becoming a main stay of the Super Eagles. It's time fans respect the man. The Camerounian team have a below average left-back.
Simon should be charged to take him on as often as possible and skin him alive.

I guess Ndidi will start ahead of Etebo to balance up the height deficiency against the tall Camerounians.

Simon Moses works hard, tracks back to defend. Even when he is having one of those bad days offensively, he will always put in the graft defensively. Coaches love that.

O Mighty God in heaven. As our Super Eagles players match into the field today, I pray you grant them the wisdom, skill, hardwork, intensity, speed and devotion to give us the victory we need. We pray that you unite us with a victory.

May God grant the coaching crew the wisdom and tactical skill to make the right choices before and during the game. May this new month kick off with a Super Eagles victory.

I pray you keep each and every one of them protected. May you watch over them and every supporter of the Super Eagles. Grant the supporters who will be visiting the stadium journey mercies and give them the strength to cheer the team to victory.

Thank you for your blessings and guidance.

Let us pray and commit this match into the hand of God!

Father, the most high God, the God of ineffable grandeur, we worship and laud you for your immeasurable and everlasting love and mercies upon our lives. Even right before we were formed in our mothers womb, you already knew us and ordained us. What a breathtaking God you are! smiley

Father, we commit this match into your hands, and we pray for your favour upon the Super Eagles. Father we rely on you for our victory in this encounter, yes wholly on you! not even our tactics, strategies and efforts. Although we have our game plans, strategies and efforts but your word said “trust in the Lord and lean not unto thy own understanding.” It was not the stones that David used in the battle against Goliath that killed him, it was your grace! Apostle Paul said he “planted” and another “watered” but you are the one that gave “increase.” Father, we declare that no tactics or strategies fashioned against us shall not prosper, for our righteousness is from you! Instead they will all work together for our good as said in your word because you said that you will “watch over your words to perform them.”

Father take absolute control and let everything that will happen in and outside the pitch give you glory and let them go as how you plan it. We pray that the stadium be filled with your success yielding presence.

Father we thank you for prayers answered in Jesus name we pray, Amen!

Amen.

Leaked – Rohr Drops Leicester City Star Iheanacho, Etebo From Super Eagles Starting XI

Kelechi Iheanacho is the major casualty in the starting line up of the Super Eagles for today’s World Cup 2018 Qualifiers tie against Cameroon in Uyo, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.

Leaks gathered by Owngoalnigeria.com from their final training session can confirm coach Gernot Rohr has settled for a front three of Moses Simon, Odion Ighalo and Victor Moses.

The trio were the attackers the manager spent time with in yesterday’s close door session with emphasis on exploiting the apparent lack of pace in the defence of Cameroon.

Oghenekaro Etebo was also not in the squad that did tactical drills with the coach as vice captain Ogenyi Onazi alongside captain John Obi Mikel are expected to be in the midfield with Wilfred Ndidi.

Here is how they lined up in yesterday’s close door session, which was their final tune up for today’s clash ‎against Cameroon.

Ikechukwu Ezenwa (GK)

Shehu Abdullahi

Elderson Echiejile

William Troost-Ekong

Leon Balogun

Wilfred Ndidi

John Obi Mikel

Ogenyi Onazi

Moses Simon

Victor Moses

Odion Ighalo

‎Aaron Samuel Disappoints In Eagles Close Door Session, Ighalo Shines, Ogu Impressive

Details of the Super Eagles close door session which took place yesterday at the venue of their game against Cameroon has been leaked to Owngoalnigeria.com .

The session started with the usual warm up drills before the coach started technical and tactical drills with the players who are expected to start in tomorrow’s World Cup 2018 Qualifiers clash.

Owngoalnigeria.com won’t be revealing the various aspect of the drills rather we will focus on the performance of the players when the coach divided them into two groups for a small game.

Chanchung Yatai’s forward Odion Ighalo impressed with his finishing and overall play. The former Watford man looked very fit during the course of the training drill and also sharp in the box.

John Ogu was another player who put in a good shift during the session, as he covered lots of grounds, won possession at ease and also came out top in aerial duels not forgetting his fine ball distribution as well.

The battle for starting shirts made the session very competitive, but one player who did his chances a whole lot of no good was CSKA Moscow forward Aaron Samuel.

Samuel was lethargic, heavy and slow in attack for his team, he also gave away possession easily under pressure and overall looked a shadow of the player who once madeSudan looked ordinary in one of the first set of games he played for Nigeria.

http://owngoalnigeria.com/2017/08/31/aaron-samuel-disappoints-in-eagles-close-door-session-ighalo-shines-ogu-impressive/

Ogu keeps “impressing” during drills and yet he doesn't get to start, so what is the essence of drills then? is it not to determine those that are best fit to prosecute the game?

What is the rational behind the call of Samuel instead of Kayode if he is not good enough?

The coach blind before?

He needs to work on his final delivery (which is very easy).
If he can do that, we will have a phenomenonal player on our hands.

The one that is most righteous smiley
you can see in my prayer where “our righteousness is from you(God)” is included. That is because we now rely on the righteousness of God, not on our self-righteousness because it is a “filthy rag” before God. The book of Ephesians says as many that will receive abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness shall reign in life through Christ.

What the is even wrong with this Own goal Nigeria?? Can't they keep their mouth shut.

But if this report is true, then its not a bad lineup.. Etebo can come in the 2nd half and do some damages.. We should try everything to keep our best players fit for the second leg cus that's where the Cameroonians have the biggest advantage

Modified:
Ndidi and Onazi midfield combo isn't a good idea.. It failed against SA,why risk it again?
Ndidi and Onazi midfield is a bad combo, Onazi should come in as a sub Ogu for obvious reasons should combine with Ndidi. This I think Rohr should have seen even when we played Senegal how it yielded dividends
