Super Eagles Striker Brown Ideye Joins La-Liga Side On Loan From Tiajin Teda

Brown Ideye has left Chinese side Tiajin Teda for Spanish La-Liga outfit Alaves on a season long loan deal, bringing a temporary halt to his adventure in the Far East.

Ideye passed a routine medical yesterday with the La-Liga side to beat the deadline for European transfers but some documents are yet to arrive from the Chinese side, hence the reason why his move has not been made official.

The 28 year old moved to Tiajin Teda in February, but what was supposed to be a dream financial move turned out into a nightmare after a row with the coach lead to his demotion to the reserves.

Its quite obvious that is the only way to develop our talents faster and make better money. Often times the players we pick from the local league are maybe in the peak or past it. As they try to find their foot in Europe and cement a place in the national team time passes and most never get past these struggle.

I know some players that would have become world beaters had they have a better platform and go international early enough..

As far as I am concerned, the best thing NFF can do is set up some form of scouting team not just in UK, but in places like Germany, Belgium and Netherlands for foreign borns and maybe open a camp twice in a year for interested souls

This idea of follow up, reach out, visit this one and that one, why? Anybody that wants to play for Nigeria should reach out too, no be only NFF go dey reach out. We have players in the national team in most parts of Europe, interested parties can meet them and express such interest.

All this petting some people are suggesting is nauseating, when we no dey pet the ones wey dey naija, why will we pet those abroad?

The NFF has carried out a number of scouting camps for the U17 team in the UK. However, what they did was to import the modus operandi of what we do in Nigeria. Agents being linked to NFF officials and merit was thrown to the dogs. What was most important was the settlement not the quality of the player.

Players who are in the academy system have become products of their environment. Therefore expecting fair-play, probity, transparency, professionalism and integrity as basic standards is very normal. The organised chaos that surrounded these exercises is not shocking to me. But for many of these boys it is their first introduction to anything Nigerian, that first encounter does not encourage and or inspire.

I witnessed officials manipulating some players out as the presence of certain quality players would eliminate the ones they wanted push forward who did not have that quality. And yes settlement was very high on the agenda. These behaviours are not encouraging to young players who are based in the UK of Nigerian origin.

Our NFF officials are so use to dealing with hungry and very desperate young players who will accept anything and do anything demanded in order to be selected. You can not transfer that same engagement ethos to the UK it will not work. I suspect that one of the reasons the NFF is not keen to create a clear and transparent framework in the UK is because no egunje, nuttin for d boys.

I actually considered setting up a Nigerian diaspora team made up of youth players from across the academies of the UK and even those not captured by the system here. But there was trepidation that it might upset the status quo within the NFF there were already willing corporate sponsors from Nigeria. Imagine a UK certified and proven U17 playing the home based U17 that would be interesting.

You really are without any experiential knowledge and or understanding of the delivery and structures that operate in the UK. However, you still make prejudicial and negative presumptions about matter you have no idea about. That's not being intelligent but very far from it.

You describe engaging with somebody with professionalism, probity and respect as being NAUSEATING because it is petting them that is bewildering in the extreme. I know this story too well, a very sad one. Then to add salt to injury and petrol to Fire , they entangle themselves with Shylock agents from Hell. There is a lot of talk about women being trafficked for prostitution and we know its wilful mostly.

But the amount of players on Shylock deals across the back-doors of Europe sitting in the cold with no food to eat is shocking. I was in Antwerp sometime ago, I met quite a few ex-players washing cars for a living. Literally begging money i CRY. They had been enslaved and trafficked under false pretences and abandoned too ashamed to return home if they even can at all, as they are undocumented, paper no deh.

Well, I am NOT gonna second-guess the coach because he knows his team better than any one of us. However, if I were the coach, I will definitely make two changes to this proposed line up:

1) I will put Onazi on the bench and start a midfield combo of: Ndidi, Etebo, and Mikel.
2) Or I will start Etebo in place of Simeon Moses

In addition, I would've like to see Kelechi start ahead of Ighalo but, I guess, Rohr wants to play an out and out striker in that role. However, I think Kelechi offers more in terms of ball handling and providing assists. But, hey, what do I know

In all honesty somebody should be sacked for this, our NFF administration can be so chaotic and unprofessional it beggars belief.

If a transfer can be documented with 30 minutes left to closure of transfer window deadline, how many months have they had to do this, i blame the NFF .

Dude, Mikel's best position is DM. If I were the coach, considering the magnitude of this game, I would play Mikel beside Onazi and give Ndidi the freedom to venture forward.

As regards to Moses Simon, I would have preferred Etebo in that position. I think Etebo offers more to the team, both defensively and offensively.
