Today is Troost Ekong's birthday. I hope they boys don't drink or party before the game. They should win and save the party for tonight along with the Salah celebration grin grin

They should even wait to party after the return leg.

If I hear say Leon Balogun or Victor Moses Dey purge

If this is true, then I'm not too confident of a win.

How Delay By FGN Stopped Ola Aina From Making Super Eagles Debut Against Cameroon

‎Former England youth international Ola Aina won’t be making his senior national team debut for Nigeria when they take on Cameroon today in the World Cup 2018 Qualifiers.

Aina has been in the camp of the Super Eagles ahead of the game against Cameroon in Uyo, despite his international clearance which will make him eligible for Nigeria still pending.

As revealed by coach of the Super Eagles Gernot Rohr his clearance is currently been held up by a document demanded by FIFA before his switch can be made official.

FIFA wants the Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) to communicate to them in writing confirming Aina is a Nigerian before he can be cleared to play for Nigeria against Cameroon.

However the letter from the FGN didn’t get to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on time, hence they couldn't forward to FIFA which means time wasn’t enough for the Players Status Committee of FIFA to sanction his switch.

The NFF, Rohr and Aina are however hopeful that he will be cleared before the return leg tie against Cameroon on Monday in Yaounde, leaving the coach with no option than to stick with Shehu Abdullahi at right back.

Honestly I don't see where the creativity will come from. I think set pieces might be crucial for both teams here. Rohr is basically set up not to get beat just like the south Africans did to us. We need to get out of the blocks fast...

No New Face In Super Eagles Starting Line-up Against Cameroon, Returning Victor Moses & Ighalo Starts

There will be no starting shirt for any of the Super Eagles new invitees when they take on the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon.

However, returning old boys, Chelsea star Victor Moses and China based Odion Ighalo are walking straight into Gernot Rohr’s starting line-up for Friday’s all important World Cup qualifier against Cameroon in Uyo, according to Busybuddiesng.com sources.

Newcomers, Anthony Nwakaeme and Hull City’s Ola Aina will have their places on the bench as in form Hapoel Be’er Sheva midfielder John Ogu and Leicester City’s Kelechi Iheancho both also failed to make the starting XI.

Captain, John Obi Mikel, who has been absent from the team after a long injury lay-off will mark his return with the midfield sorting task in partnership with Ogenyi Onazi and Wilfred Ndidi.

Nigeria’s starting XI against Cameroon

Ikechukwu Ezenwa, Troost-Ekong, Leon Balogun, Elderson Echiejile, Shehu Abdullahi, Ogenyi Onazi, Wilfried Ndidi, John Obi Mikel, Victor Moses, Moses Simon, Odion Ighalo.

This line up is actually better than the one released by owngoal or who. I mean, the only change is Etebo for Onazi, but that's huge. It makes a lot of difference, because now it shows that Mikel would play more defensive work along with Ndidi, while Etebo gets a free role to bump forward. I definitely wanna see Etebo in the line up due to his high work rate ... that's what we need in this game - outwork the Camerouns.

Unadulterated line up now ..
Aina not up for selection...
Not a bad line up, we have a very good option from the bench to call up if things are not going to well in the first half.
