TheGoodJoe:
Don Baba Odogwu Mikel Obi. That was a midfield masterclass. His control and quick decision making made the midfield balanced and potent in creating attacks. His unbelievable vision and quick decision to release the ball to Ighalo was the icebreaker. I was stunned and today we saw why the World missed one of the great artist of football because he did not have a career as a creative player.

He also lead with grace and was a loud voice for the team. Giving the referee the confidence to book the two central defenders of the Camerounians. This nullified their extreme harsh play on Ighalo and gave the brave striker the room to attack at will.
U nailed it.How i wish Mikel is just 25

First time I'm watching Ezenwa play...he was much shorter than I expected. Good performance regardless. With Ighalo probably out injured, I think Nwakeme is going to start on Monday. I must admit I was surprised by Ighalo's performance today. Made me eat my words.

Onazi made few errors but made up with his hard work and intensity. I think the compact set-up of the Super Eagles suited his style of play. He could make runs without so much gap on the field. He fought hard and ran miles too. He complimented the midfield three perfectly.

When Mikel Agu came on, we saw Onazi make more pressing runs and his assist to Iheanacho was the highlight of his play. Nice one but needs to work on shielding more. Either way he was perfect for today's set-up. Deserves praise for his commitment.

I agree. But we played very well as a team. They were suppose to cover up each other. And they did just that. Moses is my MOTM. I knew he would score as well

Dont celebrate Ezen wa yet....He was not really tested.

Leon covered well for him.

Leon Balogun. Now this is a leader in the making. I hope he stays fit because we need him playing regularly. He was one player that gave his all. The highlight of his play was his slide tackle on the left side of the defence after Echiejile let Bassogog free. The pace, determination and grit was mind blowing.

He mad brilliant interceptions, tackles and his long ground passes from the defence to build up play was impressive.

Made little mistakes but his overall contribution was golden.

My nominee for future Super Eagles captain.

Sir Icon4s The Arch Guardian of Experience(as the supernerd often says). TheExperience of Leon Balogun at the heart of defence, the mastery of Mikel, the class of victor Moses and the physicality of Ighalo was what made the deference.

Your knowledge of the game no be hear.

Odion Ighalo. One word to describe his performance = Warrior.

This is one brave soldier. Took the war to the strong, massive, tough tackling and fast Camerounian defenders. The defenders threw their best shots at him but he kept on fighting. Despite the pains he was going through, he took down the ball Mikel sent his way with ease. He tried going on a run with the defender but the defender was too fast for him. He chose the right option by going for a fight. With a yellow card hanging on the defenders head, he could not tackle Ighalo and Ighalo took out the defender with a brilliant skill and buried the ball in a tidy fashion.

That was impressive and showed his Chinese goals were not fluke.

Someone give Ighalo some Chinese ching chong money cause he deserves it. Sad he went out injured and I hope he is fit for the next game.

Ezenwa did well. But what if he was exposed like Akpeyi was against SA. That's the true test of a great keeper. I reiterate they are both average, but Ezenwa is more confident . Let's also give our GK trainer some praises.

Ezenwa was brilliant today. His composure was top notch. That alone gave our opponents a lot of rethink through out the encounter.

I don't know what must have happened if it was Akpeyi. Those shots and corners would have been misjudged.

I love the way he was swift on his foot. His timing too for the sweepers was amazing.
He simply proved me wrong.

He deserves this praise.

Victor Moses.

Skill, Creativity, Pace, Determination, Teamwork, nice passes and a brilliant taking goal. This man was too impressive. Deserves all the praise he gets. His tracking back was astonishing and helped Echiejile deal with the pressure coming from the left side of the defence. Playing Victor Moses on the left was another master stroke by Rohr.

He would have caused more havoc if he operated on the right but did enough on the left to help us win the game. Made nice amount of interceptions and won the ball repeatedly to help us create counterattacks. VicMo was amazing and deserves so much credit.

Sport Analysis goes like that so please don't be all ballistic. I wonder the Hbp you'll be battling with if you we're a Nigerian and Nigerian fans are stating the obvious. even for the win, several predicted a bad outing and you are here ranting over this analysis to which she is entitled to make.

The truth is we have always known how good Ighalo is when he is at his best. But what we've always wanted was for him to replicate it in SE. He did just that, for the first time, today.

Simon "Daddy" Moses. Nice game from him. Made lots of contributions down the right. Showed skill, intelligence and pace. Confident enough to take on the Camerounian right back and delivered some nice crosses from the wings. Especially the chance Victor Moses missed.

Sad part of his day was the chance he had to score. One in one with the keeper but he made a wrong choice. He went for the tight space on the left of the goalkeeper instead of going with a curling shot with his outer right foot. Apart from that, he was impressive.

Simon combined brilliantly with Shehu Abdullahi both offensively and defensively. Worked very hard and was a big part of the win today.
