Fam my phone's been overheating, actually since I got hold of it 2.5 weeks ago. It's snapdragon and on global rom 8.2.10.0.

Yesterday had some research to make and browsed for like 4-5 straight hours. Back heating as usual but a bit higher this time.

I think it's affected the battery life as I just don't get juice like before. Drops 1% every 5-7 minutes.

Don't play games at all and data is on 3G strictly when I use it and off when I don't. Obvious battery hoggers like GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth, etc is always off. Screen brightness is minimal.

Please any suggestions to these as the battery is non removable? Help Biko

Cc everyone abeg. sad

Phone heating up most times is a sign that the battery is getting weak

Hmm...I don't know much about phone screens.
But if one's screen should break, which of those two will he need?
Its better to replace both because it's difficult to separate them. Costs around $22.

2 weeks only?

It heats even when I charge right from when it was unboxed. Some complaints I read elsewhere says it's because of the aluminum back cover.

The thing tire me o

What's your device temperature?

Goto settings - battery - power

Yes o

Let the battery drain completely, then leave it switched off and charge fully. If battery still drains, backup your data to an external drive and factory reset. Or wait for miui 9

It depends on individual usage, average for me is 10 hours and some few minutes, if you watch movies alot, it goes to between 12-13 hours. The MI Max 2 definitely has a higher SOT, haven't tried it out.

With various references from YouTube videos concerning the Redmi 4x, the phone has the tendency to heat up especially during charging and playing heavy graphic games.

You can try updating your OS or wait for MIUI9 like Oga GrandMufti said.

The day it started this abnormality it clocked to 43-46°C
Now it's hovering around 37-40°c under light usage
