On the topic, well former Yugoslavia republic also had unity in national football team, but it ultimately wasn't good enough, was it? Even in this match, notice Yorubas trying to project one of their own, Balogun as the man of the match When Mikel scored and assisted a goal and started the attack that led to a goal. Moses also scored. Nigerians are only united in football and then shared Igbophobia. Even Catalonians cheer for Spanish national team, when they would rather have their own country, they cheer for them because Catalonia players are part of the national team, and Catalonia is still part of Spain for now atleast. Nothing new. 19 Likes |

MalcoImX: Lol! Nah so Nzeogwu Kaduna Chukwuma was branded Northern Igbo by the usual Igbophobic folks, when the going was good. But once the going became tough, he became Igbo and no mention of his fluency in Hausa language was ever mentioned again. Nchekwube Micheal Obi is an Igbo man from Neni town in Anambra State, stop the shameful "attache by force". 13 Likes |

pazienza:You may have a point. We all thought Nzeogu was with the North but he switched sides. But seriously, it's necessary for some to accept the reality that there's what's called the northern and Western Igbo who has a different mindset to the home Igbo. You don't heat them shouting 'Buhari this,' 'Arewa that' and 'herdsmen this and that.' Recently there was thus Twitter war with, I think, Paul Okoye, the musician. One home-based Igbo was bombarding him with what he called his non-patriotism to Biafra by not investing in the SE. I love the reply he gave him. He advised the dude to call the police. |

MalcoImX: Lol! There is nothing like Western or Nothern Igbo. When riots break out in the North, they all die as Igbos and not Nothern Igbo, and when Oba Lil Wayne threaten them with Lagoon, they are threatened as Igbos and not Western Igbos. Okoye will never tell you he is Western or Northern Igbo, he is an Igbo man from the town of Ifite dunu in Anambra State . Okoye is a public figure that depends on patronage of non Igbo Nigerians as well as Igbos to earn money , it will be stupid to expect him to become involved in the Biafra -Nigeria imbroglio at this moment. I remember there was a time the Okoyes accused Yorubas of tribalism when they failed to win the then hiphoptv awards, and many Yorubas came for their heads on the internet , it was fellow Igbos that defended their stance. Many interviews abound of Okoyes upholding their allegiance to Igbo ethnic group. You cunning Igbophobic beings would claim and accept any high flying Igbo man as a Nigerian, but are quick to brand them Igbos once they are involved in non glorious activities, as well as quick to use their bad activities to brand and bash Ndiigbo. 10 Likes 2 Shares |

You are both right in a way because: All IPOB are Igbos but not all Igbos are IPOB. IPOB is just a pressure group of Igbos and do no not represent Igbos because, they not been given any mandate to do so. omenkaLives: |

pazienza:OPERATION NOAH'S ARK for where? You'll carry your ship empty from Northern and Western Nigeria reach Alaigbo. Those ones have seen the benefits of what greater Nigeria offers. They're truly Igbo who are Nigerians. You can see that they rep Igbo culture in some of their music's, and we understand them better than Nnamdi, who abuses and he's abused back. |

Jonathan39:Ibrahim Shekarau's dad was from Borno state who settled in Kano, and his son became a governor in Kano state. That is the Nigeria we want, where you can become whatever you want to become in any part of the country. |

now I realize that igbos are greedy for real, they only shout of marginalization when they don't have all. majority of players in Nigeria national team are igbo n nobody dey shout, had it been it's either more of Hausa or Yoruba they will start shouting marginalization again |

I don't know the IPOB members u saw, cos the ones I saw were totally not interested in the match, all around me, only one hotel bar had a decent gathering of football watchers. Majority of the people I met dismissed it and some called it "ball ndi zoo". You are being truthful by half. 4 Likes |
