A figure that would give you an idea is H1B applications declined by about 37k for the first time in recent years...main reason I advise people to go for job-ready courses if you plan to apply for H1B. The reality doesn't hit you until you're close to graduation.

Know that A1,B2, =4 POINTS
B3, C4 . = 3 points
C5, C6 = 2 points
D7,E8= 1point
Then take the average . divide by no of subjects

Now I was asked to go to the American Embassy tomorrow for an international student tutorial but going there would be a lot of stress for me due to my work and again I'm not leaving anywhere close to Lagos. I don't know when embassy started international student tutorial and the last time I checked I am aware of EducationUSA and they don't give tutorial there but online talk about studying in US, what you need to know and how to apply etc.

It's advisable not to do so if the i20 is being send via postal mail which is post office.

It is 120 days and not 30 days, you will need your sevis number to book appointment and school zipcode as well.

Yes some schools do the conversion internally or at the end of the processing they tell applicant to go and do external conversion before making final decision.

Before now, have been thinking of doing my Masters in history, development studies or international relations. The dream is not just to study and come back, but to stay and work. through constant reading of this thread and the other I mentioned above, I have realized that the course one does really matters in securing a job after graduation. Have been hearing about STEM courses but I have never done any research until today,(gokuu's discussion on the GRE thread inspired me anyway). I found out that there are some courses that relate to my discipline of which strategic intelligence caught my attention. I made some research about schools and I found schools such as IWP, university of pittersburg etc. Pls I need suggestions from you guys concerning the course and schools. thanks

While there is no paper requirement for the LOR, I guess the institution/firm letter headed paper will be a worthy option. If it has to be submitted via email, it is greatly advised that the LOR be submitted using the institution/firm email address (e.g xx@yy.edu or yy@zz.org)
