Coming here since 27th of last month, I read a lot of post here with some arguments on whether there is going to be another business games for next month or not. The truth I have seen with replies is that we just want to believe only what we want to hear. As such I will not really reply questions after this post, but to make it clear and detailed. Rene is the recruiter like many would agree, but in the course of our games and presentations Rene was almost absent. Seth was the person in the herms of affairs, and all details about the company was ditched out by him. It was so clear that this opportunity will not even come in the next coming years, not to talk about next month.(if this is too much to swallow and you choose to argue, do that with Seth) There was a breakdown of application which was about 28,000 of which Nigeria alone had 20,880 and from all these numbers of applications 167 was selected to the games from south Africa, 64 was selected from Nigeria, 32 from Ghana, I think Tanzania too but I can't remember their figure. Seth repeatedly hammer on the fact that this is a rare opportunity and it won't happen again any time soon. As such anybody waiting for next batch, I'm very sorry you should just somehow remove your mind and face other opportunities. In the end, only a few is needed for this global management program. 20 in total out of these numbers, according to Mr Paul(those who entered would know him) its not even a must they want to take 20 in Africa. If they don't see the people they want that can match what they are looking for, they might even take less. In our own ingenuity we divided the numbers amongst the countries involved, that was how we got a possible 4 from Nigeria. May God bless us to see more opportunities in life and give us the grace to make good use of it. God bless you all. Note: for those talking about bigger market in Nigeria, it's not true. They have a bigger presence in South Africa compared to anywhere in Africa. So we believe they would take more there. 4 Likes |

Lol! I also wonder about the vigour with which you guys want to convince others to forget about it. For me I passed the test and was told I should expect to be contacted for the next stage, and that's exactly what I'll do. I know that employers like selecting from a large pool of candidates, so it's in their best interest to include those who like you guys have met their requirements by passing their test. Yes it will cost them more but if this programme is as strategic as you guys say, then cost is the least consideration. To think of it again, if Ab-inbev won't make good their word in the last mail sent to me, then i'll know I absolutely don't want to be part of such a goofy organisation and I'll thank God I dodged a bullet. 7 Likes |

I just can't laugh. Someone will take his time to write a long epistle to convince others that the recruitment is done! sealed! and closed! But to share experience on the business games that will benefit others in the future is a problem. Life is not that serious o. 8 Likes |

Why are u people crying wolf because a young man @Michael decided to air his honest view which to me is the truth, if you cannot swallow it force it down your throat. Instead of you to direct your frustrations to Rene, you are here directing verbal insults to people telling u the truth, or u think he just slept and woke up to type all those. As regards selfishness, no one is selfish here as help and guidance have been provided across several stages through the thread, but in life at a point, u have to fight to survive first yourself not to talk of helping someone while your own fate is undecided. As a matter of fact the business games is not question and answer session. To sum it all, you can request from Rene or Seth to provide u with past questions and answers if u find it hard to digest. For those who care, the next line of opportunities avail in graduate trainees, interns etc, but for GMT. Drops pen! 4 Likes |

Sharing how the business games went will not stop y'all from receiving your offer letter if truly you've performed outstandingly, and this is not even directed at michael but everyone that participated in the just concluded games. in fact just tell us you've not at a point consulted Nairaland for information and i'll try to understand the gibberish you just posted. if you have, imagine everybody going mum, will you have had access to it? 12 Likes |

I really would love to know what went down on that day, if the Business game was a typical AC or there was more to it. I never imagined how difficult that was until now. For a fact, you guys don't owe us anything so you can choose to go radio silent but don't come here to spew trash in any tone whatsoever. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Hi guys..just chill..i guess the business games guys were more disappointed at their chances of being selected given the number required for the GMT programme that's why they couldn't tell their story but a kind fellow from the group gave a good description of how the day went after I asked him privately he said and I quote "We had two sessions, the business games proper and the individual presentations. It was more like an assessment centre". So there's no need to quarrel overuncertainties. Life must go on.. 10 Likes |

I really don't wanna feel disappointed cuz i had serious hopes. Submitted my on-demand video interview on the morning of 21th August with the deadline being 22nd, 11:33am and after passing through two nights without sleep to prepare. There was no success or failure reply, else i was sure of being in the last business games too, I'm sure I'm not the only one in this. Peeps here have helped with info in the past, I feel Michael and the others have a right to share or not share, the competition is stiff and its understandable. But a little tip won't hurt, atleast for the sake of learning something from this. 1 Like |

Hello everyone, we need not bash people on this thread. You like anyone of them, should understand their reasons for being apprehensive. Like most of comments by the participants at the business games, the numbers from 20K to 64 to 4/5 are correct. Is the business game invite over for the GMT? Probably cannot say, I will let you come to that conclusion on your own, because their recruitment timeline had business game invite(s) as : South Africa Nigeria & Ghana East Central Africa South Africa With Final Panel Interview for Nigeria, slated for Oct 30 - 31. The other final panel interview had Sep 13 - 15, on the presentation slide - my guess is that, the other regions will be handling those dates. On the 30th of August, the "international" recruitment team, left for Ghana and stated they'll proceed to Tanzanian region, and finally to South Africa, with explicitly no comments about returning to Nigeria for the GMT, within the stipulated window. They further explained that other recruitments will open up for other Graduate Trainee roles - SMT and Technical. In the event anyone of us, in attendance aren't successful with the GMT role, we would be considered for the other country roles, when they are reviewing or recruiting candidates for the aforementioned roles. A quick search on glass door will give you insight into the business games. My experience was similar to that of a candidate, recruited in 2015. Business games situation: Two batches of 16 people - morning and afternoon sessions. Each session has four team members - President, VP Sales & Marketing, VP CSR, VP Finance & Supply. Each team has different market forecasts and tries to control the most market share. There are rules, with set penalties and points for improving profitability, I-social, and market share above a certain threshold. Each group tries to outwit each other for about 6-8 rounds. Then, you've a 3 minutes presentation on improving profitability of a company. N.B: Depending on your session, you might have to do either the business game first or the presentation; but not both at the same time. Good luck to everyone expecting feedback this week, and to the others hoping for a response, regarding the GMT, do not give up. Your story could be different. After all, Seth did say; "not everyone was invited to the business game the same way" (I don't know what he meant by that). I have tried to give a robust response all inquests. For those asking, my application to business game invite took five days, check my previous post on this thread. 1 Like 3 Shares
