NerdSciBot:and how would a successful scouting mission by her have convinced cersei? You talk with the confidence of hindsight not foresight I'll give you a challenge ahead of season 8, give some decisions by major characters you'll definitely not be advising them to make based on the inevitable negative consequences it would lead to, case in point, after the revelation of Jon's true identity, what should be his reaction? And what should Danny's be? Tell us before any leaks or before it is aired! 3 Likes |

NerdSciBot:and when all the aforementioned march north, they leave the seven kingdoms open to cersei's rape when even a victory against the nightwalkers isn't even guaranteed and even if they are victorious, it will be phyricc and they would lack the strength in numbers to face cersei unless Danny decides to Burn-em-all like her father which will destroy the image of a breaker of chains, wheels and what not she's trying to create for herself. Remember what the maesters at the citadel said when Sam told them to write to all lords advising them that the nightwalkers are real and that they should send their armies north? About how that would open the realm to be Danny's conquest unopposed? And tyrion telling Jon that even if the nightwalkers were real, telling Danny to march north will leave the realm open to cersei's invasion so from whose perspective are you calling the mission to capture a wight a weak plot hole? Oh from the perspective of a fan with hindsight! And remember Danny never actually believed "believed" Jon until she saw the nightking and the nightwalkers for herself and lost a dragon in the process! She was like "bend the knee and i will fight for you" and after seeing "I had to see to believe,.............I will fight with you" so stop seeing plot holes where there are none . . P.S tyrion, like every other rational westerosi was expecting cersei to see the bigger picture after realizing the nightmare stories were real, and oh, he was expecting her to attempt to murder them if she had the chance that is, before they could present their case not his fault that cersei could not get over the woodwitch's foretelling of a younger, more beautiful queen taking her throne from her and scoring a 3/3 as against the current 2/3 5 Likes |

NerdSciBot:in defense of Danny flying north to rescue Jon and Jon proclaiming his fealty to her at the parley in public, not everybody is tywin lannister or stannis baratheon, not everybody makes decisions based on tactical considerations, the humanity of their actions and inactions vis-à-vis love, hate and what not is what gives life to each character and credibility to the story, so, no plot holes here 1 Like |

A scene cut from the 'Game of Thrones' finale explained how Sansa Stark figured everything out Carrie Wittmer | 16:44 | 31.08.2017 Your biggest question after watching the season seven finale of "Game of Thrones" has an answer. Your biggest question after watching the season seven finale of "Game of Thrones" has an answer. After a frustrating plot » in Winterfell leading up to the finale, the Stark children gave the storyline a satisfying end. Sansa, Arya, and Bran play Littlefinger the way he's played everyone throughout his entire life. In a grand scheme, it appears Littlefinger has convinced Sansa that Arya is trying to kill her so she can be Lady of Winterfell. But in the finale, Sansa has Arya come to answer for her "crimes" — only to reveal that the meeting is all about Littlefinger's crimes, including murdering Lysa and Jon Arryn and betraying Ned and Catelyn Stark. Littlefinger says no one was there to know that he betrayed Ned. But the Three-Eyed Raven — formerly known as Brandon Stark — describes the scene using Littlefinger's exact words: "I told you not to trust me." Arya then slits Littlefinger's throat with his own dagger. While there is a scene after Littlefinger's death when Arya and Sansa recognize their differences but indicate they still admire each other, we never got a solid grasp of how their plan against Littlefinger unfolded. When did it start? Had the Starks had this planned the whole time, or did it take a while for them to realize Littlefinger was messing with them? Isaac Hempstead Wright, who plays Bran, told Variety » about a cut scene that confirms what went down: "We actually did a scene that clearly got cut, a short scene with Sansa where she knocks on Bran's door and says, 'I need your help,' or something along those lines. So basically, as far as I know, the story was that it suddenly occurred to Sansa that she had a huge CCTV department at her discretion and it might be a good idea to check with him first before she guts her own sister. So she goes to Bran, and Bran tells her everything she needs to know, and she's like, 'Oh, s---.'" So it looks like Littlefinger was successfully playing the Stark sisters. But Sansa realizes his motivations during the scene when he tries to convince her that Arya wants to be Lady of Winterfell, and seeks Bran's help to confirm it. |

Re: Game Of Thrones Discussion (Beware Of Spoilers) by Nobody: 8:47am On Sep 02, 2017 |
bayulll011:But I think that will change when Jon and Dany ride side by side... If Dany and The North wins the Night King which they will, if Dany and Jon is still alive, the whole North will match to King's Landing to dethrone Cersie for sure but I believe Cersie will have a part to play in the war against the Night King, she will probably still release her Army and The Weapon killing Dragon (Scorpion) she made will probably be the one to bring down the Night King's Dragon (Viserion). And another Theory says that The Gold Comp was formed by a Targeryans bastard which he fought for the Throne for several years, though they have never broken any agreement but this might be their first. If any of the Blackfyre is alive, and they gain entry to King's Landing they might wanna take the Throne from Cersie. Why I love GOT is that they keep us hanging with lots of Theories after every Season Finale! |

BraniacX: Those are just theories. I don't have an exact answer, but from what we know of the Faceless Men/Jaqen H'ghar, he wouldn't be in the black cells if he didn't want to. It's one plothole that needs addressing. |

BraniacX: It seems logical that if the status of the parents reverts back to single, as in never married(unlike a divorce), that the children should become bastards. Is that the case ? I really don't know. |

Gbola5: PreacherX: I personally dislike unfounded assumptions. GRRM drew inspiration from Victorian England for the great houses of the Seven Kingdoms. There's no precedence of a divorce in both books and the show, so perhaps that's where answers concerning the status of noble offspring(s) of a divorcee should be sought from. So... research on victorian england, anyone? |

This is the best explanation I've seen for Jon Snow's real name reveal as Aegon: https://www.reddit.com/r/freefolk/comments/6wikpw/for_all_the_why_did_rhaegar_name_two_of_his_sons/ But to be honest it still feels like shitty naming to me. Several equally storied Targaryen names out there to choose from: Daeron the Young Dragon, Aemon the Dragonknight... The "theory" that the Prince that was Promised will be named Aegon is just bollocks; there's no such prophecy, no mention of it ANYWHERE. The first PtwP was named "Azor Ahai" for chrissakes. |

Re: Game Of Thrones Discussion (Beware Of Spoilers) by BraniacX(m): 8:22pm On Sep 02, 2017 |
kay9:when king Henry VIII of house Tudor of England had his marriage to is it queen Catherine of Spain? annulled, their daughter princess Mary still remained his legitimate daughter and second in line to the throne after young prince edward as at the time of his death and she even went on to become queen after the untimely death of her younger brother, so this is an example of an annulment from middle age pre-victorian England, so using that as a template, would you say someone as obsessed with prophesy as rhaegar would disinherit his first son aegon just to bequeath a "potential" yet unborn second son the throne? Re: Game Of Thrones Discussion (Beware Of Spoilers) by kay9(m): 8:41pm On Sep 02, 2017 |
BraniacX: Aegon by Elia Martell remains legitimate, QED. So what was the point of the whole annulment? Targaryens have an established history of polygamy, so he could've just straight-up married Lyanna. Really, the show's visuals are still cool and all but the storyline just gets shittier the farther away from the last book. Of course, it still won't stop me from rushing to download if a secret episode 8 suddenly airs tomorrow. |
