I think so.... at least it is his senior home debut. Really sad for him.

Danycrusoe:

I believe this should be his (Sakala's) debut right?

Literally, we don't have anyone who can replace Echiejile because the suggestions here are either make-shifts or of lesser quality... it's alright anyway, hope he pulls a Marcelo for us at the World Cup...
I remember watching Aina as LB in Chelsea colour and d guy was very comfortable, sometimes make shift player might be d answer.

Aina is not of lesser quality. Ebuehi is a young quality player too but needs time to adjust.

Hope he (Aina) starts at the World Cup because i doubt if Echiejile would keep up with the type of opposition wingers we'll face

Mwepu.... another U-20 star from Zambia's Class of 2017 shines thru. Sakala may have seen red but Mwepu steps up.... cheesy

I am loving Zambia winning. That keeps Algeria out of our way.... Hehehehehe....

The guy looks 20 compared to sakala but what do I know, BTW the shot he tool was a powerful one just in the manner of Moses goal yesterday, on the edge straight into the bottom corner

Algerian team is a weak team , even after Zambian is one man down , they still went ahead to score them, i think we have done justice to this group by not getting involve in any permutation to qualify . it will be good if we kill the game come monday qualify with 2 more games to go . we have achieved one game to go in 1998 .

Well.... it is a lot of time before June comes around next year.. Things can happen..... More talents can emerge.... and Jordan may yet be gotten for us.

But Let us watch the players give in great shifts for their various clubsides.

I believe in Aina's quality and his ability to play both fullback roles even though he seems much more at home as RB than as LB. But time will tell.... I believe before the World Cup comes around Echiejile's cover will be found and brought in as quality backup and future upgrade.

If Nura Abdullahi steps up and proves himself and overcome his injury demons... I see him getting a look in at RB too making Aina also available for the LB role. But eyes must still be on Jordan....

Anyway... like I said... we got at least eight months before the month of June... so a lot can happen.

Zambia have him, Sakala and a few more... wish them the best but cannot wait to beat them silly in Uyo soon. wink

I dont see either cameroun, zambia or algeria getting 10 points. So we need 2 more points for automatic ticket

Lol.... easy Safari... easy biko. lol...

Even Mahrez had to leave camp to seek a transfer which never happened. He left his team and now see the result. Maybe if Mahrez was on show... they would have salvaged a draw... who knows? But it is good Zambia won... I see A draw in Algeria loading or Algeria winning slightly. But uhmmm.... based on form... Hmmmm... make Zambia no shock Algeria for house ooo....

from the few minutes of the game that I saw, the Algerians were useless, no fight for the ball lots of space for the Zambians to explore

Excellent mindset Sir Rohr.... keep your eyes on the prize. That 4-0 have won you nothing yet.... so push on as if it never happened.

Meanwhile... allow the fans to bask in the euphoria. That South Africa defeat brought harsh words our way and made every single Opposition look like Argentina and Brazil.... that defeat made people forget our quality and rising profile. Now we have gotten the comeback we need so plsss let the fans be. They deserve this moment. But focus is still the key. Thank you.

It Was Men Against Boys – Cameroonian Journalist Blast After Heavy Defeat To Nigeria

Highly respected Cameroonian journalist Patrick Jean has hit out at the poor display of the senior national team of Cameroon in their heavy 0-4 loss to Nigeria in yesterday’s World Cup 2018 Qualifiers.

Jean who boasted before the game that the worst his team would get is a draw said the Nigerians led by captain John Obi Mikel played like men while the Cameroonian team played like school boys.

He lamented the gulf of class between the two teams from players and even the technical crew of both sides, citing Nigeria’s superiority as the reason behind the resounding win for the Super Eagles.

” From the game it’s clear to see that the team that wanted it the most won it. The quality was very obvious. It was like watching men against school boys. No doubt Nigeria taught us some vital lessons yesterday “, Jean told Owngoalnigeria.com.

” The players who were on the bench for Nigeria are players who are good enough to start ahead of some of the players who started for Cameroon. Also with all due respect to Hugo Broos, Gernot Rohr is a superior coach with better knowledge of African football.

”It’s easy to say we could or should have done this or that during the game. This players should have played ahead of that player, very easy to say but in honest we know the Nigerians deserve to beat us even by a wider margin. We didn’t play as champions of Africa”.

**Ade Emmanuel
