Heatup47:Rectal prolapse. When it protrudes out, does it go back by itself or do you have to push it back in? |

queenhecate:I hope you didnt take those drugs all together. That's a noo noo. What you have is pregnancy induced hypertension. What I do for my patients with similar condition is to bring down the bp to an optimal level and then taper the dose overtime till I wean her off the drugs. The body needs to be taught to function properly without the drugs, hence if you suddenly stop your meds, you would experience rebound hypertension. Just like you did. |

Frenchfriez: I was to take all together but the headaches were too much and my baby was drowsy for the whole following 24 hours that I became afraid I stopped the sleeping one after two days but am still taking the other two. I find it very difficult to sleep now and feel unwell in the day so I feel the bp is still high. Please can you advise me on this. I still have the hiclodopa and normodipin to exhaust. Should I stop taking them? Please help me cos am confused. Thank you |
Re: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by Nobody: 2:56pm On Aug 31, 2017 |
queenhecate:It would be wrong for me to tell you to stop the meds just like that. The first thing you need to do is worry less, that would help your sleep. Then you need to check your bp, as that's the major factor that determines if you'd stop the meds or get them changed. The nitrazepam gets secreted in your breast milk, so ur inadvertently giving your baby the sedative, hence his/her drowsy state. You shouldnt use it if you're breastfeeding. |

Heatup47:Owk, that's a good thing ffs. I don't know what kinda herbal treatment you used and how effective they are as I havent tried them myself but you can start with sitz baths- you put a handful of salt in a bowl of warm water and sit inside, for like 15mins, 2/3 times a day. You also need to eat less bulky and fatty foods and take more of fibrous fruits and veggies and water. In the long run, you may still need to see a general surgeon to have a closer look at that stuff. |

Frenchfriez: Thank you sir. Will stop that one immediately. Please can I take these ones because I want to stop the normodipin because of the headaches. Lebatelol Lisinopril. Bp is 149 from initial 168 |

queenhecate:I should stress again that it would be out of place for me to unilaterally change your drugs. I can only advice esp on what not to take. In prescribing anti-hypertensives, a number of factors are considered among which is what the doctor finds while examining you. That said, for this level of bp, you should not use labetalol. Normodipine is known to cause headaches as an adverse effect, so you should discuss a possible change of meds with your doctor. For some relief yoi can use painkillers. |

Re: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by Nobody: 9:45am On Sep 04, 2017 |
luvola:Firstly you should stop with the ear piece and avoid repeated exposure to prolonged loud noise, like heavy commuter traffic , discos, loud church speakers etc. The problem would resolve overtime, since you said your hearing tests were normal |

kelechi50:Orthostatic hypotension, a common sign of cardiac insufficiency. In summary, the heart doesnt pump as much blood to the brain as the swiftness of your 'action' demands. If you're in the middle age group or on the big side, you may want to get your lipid level checked and also see the Doctor for a heart examination. There are some signs we could pick from examining the heart that tells us this is xyz. Meanwhile, you should reduce the speed of your getting up and bending down, so that the heart gets enough time to pump blood up there. |

Re: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by Nobody: 10:02am On Sep 04, 2017 |
luvola:Tinnitus is not an illness that needs a cure, its a sign of an illness. A lot of conditions could come with tinnitus, in this case, the most likely are partial blockage of your ear canal by wax, partial damage of the nerve that make you hear and irritation of your ear drun , all of which can be caused by repeated exposure to loud noise. Let me even ask, what kinda hearing test did they do for you? |
Re: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by luvola(m): 10:16am On Sep 04, 2017 |
Frenchfriez:they play some sounds and check if I could hear them. and one other test too. before this low pitch noise started I have been having series of cracking sound in my ear but when I breath in , close my noise and breat out slowly , my ear will clear off . This continuous high pitch noise similar to when u fry egg or from a t.v with no signal sound is given me concern. |

Re: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by Nobody: 1:32pm On Sep 04, 2017 |
luvola:Looks like what happened is that a bubble got trapped in between wax. You should visit the ENT unit of a teaching hospital, that tinnitus is reversible. Very 'curable'. |

Christeety:Owk,.....looks to me like there is a problem with the outflow of blood / fluid from your hand. Could be caused by an inflammation or partial blockage of your lymph drainage, ditto for your veins. But do you often loose sensation in any part of your fingers? |
Re: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by luvola(m): 3:20pm On Sep 04, 2017 |
Frenchfriez:3 days before this high pitch noise started , I do listen to music via my ear piece to my right ear , I had a bad crack in my right ear which I tried to clear the crack by mounting pressure to clear off my ear. this Result to some sneezing which cause a strange headache in my front head toward the right side when I sneeze. this go on for 3 days after which thr high pitch started in my brain. |
