Hi,

There is a problem with the server. I have sent a mail to the assistant in charge.

There is a loading error on this page: < https://www.hs-karlsruhe.de/geomatics/ >

By-pass the error by navigating ahead of the link, for example:

Hi,

For geology, that means you will be focusing on GIS and other ESRI application packages.

During the previous study commision meeting, we agreed to upgrade the course contents (PO6 -> PO7) to more informatics, geo-marketing/ telematics and virtual reality.

You can check the course page or check the timetables to see the new courses for you guys (PO7) coming this winter and beyond.

If you have further questions, do not hesitate to ask.

Regards.

thanks for your prompt reply. I really appreciate it here. Well I will apply for the course for summer semester session. I don't know when the application is going to commence? Geomatics will be good in my field. Besides I had B.sc in Geology. It will be good for me to diversify and apply for another course in masters level. Love to chart with you more for more guide. It is good and better to be prepare earlier before rushing hour.

I was charged @431 naira per euro. And I paid 3729 euro because that is the amount stated on my makethetransfer slip, and my bankers were not willing to transfer more than the stated

Thanks@Raemond, but that 431 is on the high side ooo, considering that black market is 432 per Euro, what it means is that the banks don't actual by do form A for us, they post the CBN price for euro on their board and go ahead to debit students based on the black market price . This is pure exploitation and its very bad.. If you check on what they post now on their board as their CBN euro price it will not be more than 390 per euro.. Things are too complicated in this country ..

And I am yet to receive blocking confirmation, is this normal?

But bros, no vex ooooo. I am sure you have received series of info, and as well the best way to make do with daad.de. I know it's not easy as a starter in a new thread, but all the same why don't you follow the link that you were referred to. Am sure you will be very much elated when you see various courses you might as well put in for. I want to believe you have eyes on Geographic information system as well apart from environmental management.

One guy in Bonn was talking about an apartment he wanted to sublet just about a month ago here. I can't remember his moniker but I added him on Facebook and chatted with him then. the apartment is in Sankt Augustin area which is not too suitable for me, that's why I didn't follow it up. But I can send you his FB id via pm when you need it

gabi101:

hello drmingler, welcome to the fam! you haven't actually stated the degree you intend to apply to(Bsc or Msc?). maybe from there we can help you search for your course of choice or related courses. for bsc you need at least your first year transcript, waec or neco, proof of english proficiency test(toefl or ielts) though some schools can accept a proof of english proficiency letter from your university, few require a letter of recommendation and most require motivation letter(this is very important). As for Msc, you need BSc certificate, complete university transcript and all of the docs stated above(for bsc).

winter application(feb- july 15,dates depends on schools) for 2017 is closed, so you should prepare for summer application(sept-jan 15, dates depend on schools) 2018 or winter 2018.

documents are usually sent by post directly to the schools postal address(for schools that don't patronize uni-assist),or to uni-assist address to(for schools that patronize them). uni-assist help schools to reveiw your docs and evealuate them if them meet the needs of the school you intend to apply to. you can ask those here (or pm them) who made use of uni-assist for futher inquiries about them(as i didnt use them). they charge a fee of 75euros for first application and 15euros for subsequent applications but i think the fourth application is free.

feel free to ask anything here or pm anyone who has passed your present stage(just in case i forgot something), in case of any confusions encountered along the line of your application...once again try to state the degree you want to go for(bsc or msc) so we could help search for it.

please if you read the requirements for visa interview. it states clearly that you must have an open blocked account in germany, you confused everyonr here when you mentioned visa interview knowing that alot of people have been trying to get a date gor winter semster but to no avail dont blame @neckki. The appointment you have is for certification of bank dovuments to open the account. after you have you have opened that and recieved your confirmation from the bank you can then apply for visa.

Halo everyone, i have been following the thread but couldn't make it to winter cos I joined late July. Please am ready with documents to apply for summer admission.. As most schools opened their portal yesterday. Please I need clarification and advice on the following

What is the best way to send documents across to Germany? (Fast and efficient) I will be sending to Five schools at once...

MyOwnOpinion: The best way to send your Document is Thru TNT Or DHL.
BUT
If you reside in Lagos; I will advice you to use NIPOST. Specifically, the one @MM2 Airport. Your Docs. will get to the school latest in 2 weeks

time. Mine took 9 days & 10 days respectively for the 2 documents i sent.

IF you are not in Lagos or you can't go to MM2, BEWARNED; It might take up to a Month for your docs to get to the school.

So send your docs very early if you want to use any other Nipost Office apart from the one @MM2 (NACHO).

Secondly, I see payment to uni-assit is quite stressful.. (TUM is the only school that require use of uni-assist in my choice of schools)...any suggestion on how to pay them faster?

Get someone to help you pay in Germany or in Europe.

Finnaly, pls can someone hint me on these cities...
Kaiserslautern, Bonn and Saarbruken..in terms of hutsle and student jobs...the schools from there have been communicating with me via email...even though my first choice is TUM....I sha want to keep an open mind.

Tank u all so much

KTown as it is called is a Big Town/City as you may called it. And there are student jobs, same as Bonn BUT am not sure of Saarbruken.

Good Morning Everyone,
I have been a follower of this forum since Jan 2017. Hardly posted any comment though as I have found responses to other posts very helpful. This my case is a little peculiar, hence this humble plea for your advice.

I received my admission letter on the 12th of July, 2017 for - MSc. Business Intelligence and Process Management - Winter Semester • Berlin School of Economics and Law. Ever since then I have been on the Visa Issue. I have accepted and secured my admission (German Health Insurance inclusive), this, however, is just valid for the 2017/2018 admission calendar.

1. In the light of the Visa appointment being booked out, the institution has sent direct correspondences to the consulate pleading for a consideration; this however without a reply - Would it be okay to visit the Consulate to call their attention to the correspondences?
2. Prior to my Visa application, I opened a Fintiba account (not funded yet though) as I have a fully sponsored study leave from the company I work with - Would the consulate consider that as a scholarship and not request for the 8K++ Euros deposit?

Please guys, kindly advice. The institution is really willing to assist with my application

As far as I know, The German Embassy only recognize scholarships offered by a German or European organisation.
