Politicians and propaganda, taking the media to tour an ongoing project as if the contractors are not qualified.
Funny but true.

this is where Nigerians usually miss, if you inspect your house yourself, if the house is substandard, how would you know? It takes the eye of a master in a particular field to detect fault in their field. If you are a builder yourself, you won't see buildings the way a common Man would see it.
You just arguing blindly.

The guy just told you that there are experts in the ministry that will follow him down there. So,you will hired a bricklayer and now get another bricklayer to follow you to your site to supervise it to detect the fault?

Guy,you dont have point jare.
you just love to criticize!

What exactly does he know about road design, planning, construction and management?

Does he know the meaning of CBR,bearing capacity,MDD, soil texture and structure, hot and cold ashphalting in road. Construction?

What of stopping site distance, clotoid design, walk ways, media and other safety design measures?

Any way Sai Baba

Man handled Lagos roads for 8 straight years and you think he knows nothing? You need to listen to his interviews on road construction and management before you conclude.

FYI he is meant to know .
If he was minister for justice would he not be better ready ? ?

What's next? The justice minister have to appear in court rooms to prosecute criminals and offenders because he is the justice minister?

Sadly for you and your illogical reasoning, he is not the minister of justice and if I might add, the justice ministry is full of lawyers and legal aids hired and paid by the taxpayers to do such things.

Reason like an adult for a change.

all of you trying to run your mouth saying that he's a minister not a supervisor, what is he doing on site then, what is he inspecting, why didn't he send the most qualified person in his ministry to inspect the work ( if not that he wants to show off for political reasons). Now that he's there, how the hell is he gonna criticize the project ( by having his subordinate whisper the fault to him?) Since he does not have the technical know how. Buhari is really a dullard, he should have made a tailor the minister of Justice. To me, fashola is a minister of nothing

Shouldn't common sense tell you that his presence conveys the government's seriousness regarding the project and even the most qualified ministry engineers and road construction experts are par of his entourage?

Even though I know you people's rants are not based on intelligent and rational reasoning, but based on your usual, hate, bitter, angry and silly tribal state of mind, you still sound ignorant and infantile.

You mean julius berger or whatever big-name contractor handling the project do not have technical supervisors that know a lot more than the secondary school gibberish you typed up there?

Or is it the ministry of works that do not have engineers way more qualified than you.

Or is it that you are saying the minister should take the word of tecnical supervisors for it without seeing where he has spent tax payers money? Do you pay tax?

Another infantile rubbish.

Fashola inspecting Lakki Ikoyi Bridge.

Fashola commissioning Lekki Ikoyi Bridge.

Lekki Ikoyi Bridge.

Still the best bridge in Nigeria and West Africa built in less than 3 years by Fashola while GEJ/PDP and administrations before them couldn't build ordinary 2ND Niger Bridge in 30 years.

Empty barrels shouting and ranting as usual.
You mean if the minister of works were to be a professional architect, an engineer or anything of such, it won't convey the seriousness of government? This clearly explains the reason for our underdevelopment. You people reason like your father Buari. Why not take a cue from Donald Trump who flooded his cabinet with extremely capable people from the right fields. Will it hurt us in any way?

1. Was he a works commissioner or minister when he built more housing estates in Lagos, more than any government in the history of Nigeria?

2. Was he a works commissioner or minister when he built 15 water works, more than any government in the history of Nigeria?

3. Was he a works commissioner or minister in Lagos when he built more hosipitals than any sate in the history of Nigeria?

4. Was he a works commissioner or minister when he built 5 power plants?

5. Was he a works commissioner or minister in Lagos when he built 11 maternity centers?

6. Was he a works commissioner or minister when he built 30 skills centers?

7. Was he a works commissioner or minister when he built the best bridge in Nigeria

Fashola delivered more projects than any administration in the history of Nigeria, even more than the rest of the states in Nigeria combined so of what relevance is construction knowledge?

What's needed is a planing, sense of duty and commitment to get things done, something leaders in your village don't have hence not able to commission anything even though they collect allocations and taxes on your behalf.

Fashola is still the best administrator in Nigeria and we have facts and pictures to prove it with.

You mean Trump's ministers are all have degrees and expiates corresponding to their government positions?

Ministers and departments all over the world are political appointments.

Rex W. Tillerson was Exon's CEO/oil, but he's Trump's foreign minister.

Elaine Chao is the transportation secretary, but she knows nothing about transportation and she doesn't have any degree in transportation.

Ben Carson is a hart surgeon, but he is Trump's Secretary of Housing and Urban Development

Rick Perry was the governor of Texas and knows nothing about Energy, but he is Trump's Energy secretary.

Betsy DeVos was a lobbyist and party money donor with zero education or teaching, but she is Trump's education secretary.

David J. Shulkin is Secretary of Veterans Affairs, but he is not a military man.

Mike Pompeo is the C.I.A. Director, but he was never a spy, never a CIA agent or FBI agent

Nikki R. Haley is the U.N. Ambassador, but she was never an ambassador and never worked in the foreign ministry or the state department, she was just a common governor.

Scott Pruitt is the E.P.A. Administrator, but he was just a lawmaker with zero EPA knowledge.

Linda McMahon is the head Small Business Administration, but she was a party woman , donor and owner of WWA/Common wrestling organization

Please, confine your ignorance to NL dullards.

Ignorance is a chronic disease, what exactly is the job prescription of a Minister of the Federal Republic?

I no get strength to start educating someone for free here biko,

Fashola's duty as a Governor is way different from what is required of him as a Minister, He is more like a specialist administrator that will supervise and deliver the programs and policies of the Government/President.

That ministry is too sensitive to be handled by someone who is "scientifically, technically, Engineeringly" illiterate

INSPECTION TOUR OF HIGHWAY PROJECTS IN THE SOUTH – EAST ZONE BY FASHOLA

The on going construction work on the Rehabilitation of Outstanding Section of Enugu – Onitsha Dual Carriageway, (9th Mile up to Umana – Ndiagwu Junction) in Enugu State.

Roads that were abandoned in time of prosperity in Eastern Nigeria, under Ebele Azikiwe, are being rehabilitated in time of recession by Muhammadu. Any wonder a few powerful people are unhappy
