From Lagos to Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ondo and down to Ekiti, the preponderance of professors and well-read academicians benchmarks the solid foundation laid for the education in the region. It is often said (though debatable) that in every home in Ekiti, there is a professor not really debatable. hardly you would see a compound without one in that state. 1 Like |

Hmm,runs don spoil WAEC. Special center don spoil everything. Some people go wan do WAEC dem go need to travel go their village go do am because say nobody go monitor the exams. I don't believe in the write up. Just a way to tell other states to do more in exams malpractices. 1 Like |

Living in calabar and ogun state has exposed me to a lot when it comes education....... the method of invigilation, screening and even teaching in Ogun state cant be compared in any way to calabar. A Third class brain in ogun state is a 2.1 brain in Imo..... quote me anywhere. 3 Likes |

RIPEnglish: I understand you can't construct a correct sentence but that is no reason to adopt this ridiculous strategy. You can at least use pidgin, don't let the thirst for attention rob your of your common sense. You have consistently violated nairaland rules by making unintelligible posts. 5 Likes |

OP is not in his right senses why would you be using WAEC as a basis of SW dwindling in Education. What happened to University education, number of people going for University Education in the SW compared to other regions. It is a known fact that, the SW has more Universities both Public and Private in the entire country, this makes the percentage of SW citizen going for University Education much higher than any other region. 3 Likes |

Tolexander: ....keep deceiving yourself....the A to Z of the story is about the states cheating most....the write-up said nothing about quality of teachers and their training, study and examination techniques used, after- school support, available facilities etc......so the so- called most marginalized zone is producing WAEC miracles out of nothing?....,surely u Igbos are a confused lot as always.... 1 Like |

What is the essence of performing well in WAEC and not going for further education into the University and just diverting into trade just like many people do in the SE. University Education is the most important form of Formal education and that is the criteria we should be looking at here not basic secondary education. 2 Likes |

Amarabae: Bring out the number of University graduates from each region that is the statistics I want to hear or the number of university graduates who have now went on to become professionals in various fields and not WAEC. Besides Exam mal-practises is now very common with WAEC these days so why would anyone be using WAEC as an assessment. 2 Likes |
