I don't think it is shocking, if the Nwakaeme can use his strength and guile to deliver against Cameroon then I see no reason why he would not start. Also I have to accept that strength might be needed assist that Cameroon backline. They can be quite physical to be honest. If iheanacho should start then a lot of through passes would be needed and they better be into space rather than to feet. Then he might be more effective. We really missed Mikel against SA.

Ighalo's goal against Cameroon shows that they aren't as physical as the stereotype. Gone are the Patrick Mboma's days.

Look at this ridiculous table, the difference between 3rd and 17th is 8 points. Why will we not be shambolic on the continent?

I SMH at that table. Just a couple of weeks ago it looked as if EL Kanemi were in with a shout at the title or at the very least a continental ticket. All of a sudden it looks as if they are at risk of being relegated.

Ultimately, everyone wins their home games with the rare away draws or wins.

Cameroon won't be defending, they will throw everything to get the goal(s), we have to take our chance by starting our best striker.

I Prince kelechukwu Mc, the Arewa 1 of Oriyangi kingdom in the land of the craddle promises $30,000 for every goal scored by the Super Eagles in today's match. Anyone with NFF domiciliary account should please forward it to me.

I also promise $5,000 to any correct prediction of scoreline in today's match.

Doubt my promises and blame yourself later.

In the absence of Ighalo, it will be better to have Nwakaeme start ahead of Iheanacho. Iheanacho can't do much damages against a physical side like Cameron even with passes from Mikel, we recall how he wasted the beautiful chances from Iwobi against Senegal (another physical side). I am not saying that He can't score, but he may likely not make the most out of many other chances that the likes of Ighalo or Nwakaeme can convert. He still remains a guy that can do much damages without defenders closing him, he thrives better with space.

Yes, but it doesn't still take away the fact that they are physical. According to the commentator, the CBs may not have gone very physical with Ighalo because they were already on yellow cards.

Ighalo has reiterated that he is fit for the Yaoundé battle today but if he sits out,a like for like replacement is needed so it seems Anthony Nwakaeme may start against Cameroon.

Peradventure KC starts, then he has to be a fox in the box.He must be able to outwit the defenders. I am happy papa gassama would be officiating. So let's be menacing and ferocious in our play too. They will come out to attack thereby creating us space to exploit. I expect a good final delivery to our hitman from our midfielder s.

I am optimistic we can pick up our qualification ticket today in Yaoundé.

Biko, they are physical. Ighalo scored because he could match their physicality. Iheanacho would have struggled to score that goal.

Puma Jerseys for African teams always make it tight and it comes with packs lol Even Abouterika of Egypt then with Egypt was muscular with packs on that jersey despite his slim fit.

It's the aerodynamics design which Puma has adopted aggressively. Their jerseys are lighter and tighter, which gives the impression of bigger and faster players. The downside is that it ruptures relatively easily.

The Super Eagles are on a 33-match unbeaten run in World Cup qualifiers. The last WCQ loss was a 1-0 defeat to Angola in June 2004.

he went on loan...I think he is in Leeds United

Leads has nothing to teach Ovie, he will walk straight into thier first team. He needs a footballing side that plays on the deck.

It was Leeds that sent Barkley back to Everton that he's not good enough,.when he went on loan at 19yrs old.

Fulham, Derby are better options for his development.

probably the coach then will be different from the one they've now...and you know what that means...a new philosophy and playing pattern...
so I think...he gonna get play time there and that's good for his development...
pinnick need to intensify effort convince him play for nigeria...
hopefully aina switch may work on nff effort too....

sir..how do you see spurs..team enlisting 8 players of Nigeria origin in their epl squad for the season....

100% CORRECT

What we had was power to power but with added poise, guile and intelligence. Ighalo single handedly put those two defenders in his pocket causing them to get two yellow cards.

That is simply not KC game also Ighalo is two footed unlike KC who is very left foot biased.

It's about creating a long term approach of engagement well before they are even noticed by England. Show love and you get love back.

All these boys are Naija boys they probably can dance Shoki better than you.

The biggest problem is hungry coaches and NFF officials looking for inducement. That's really turns both parents and players off. These guys have no idea of settlement mentality and again similar already on 10k a week they are not desperately hungry. So may not agree to the rubbish.

To be honest I remembered being at Tottenham with the U18's when Ehiogu was there as well as Tega Onomah and they all consider themselves as Naija first.

I reiterate the issue is how we engage them over the long term not just when they start to BLOW.

Hello everyone you know how we do game day smiley all positivity and success to the super eagles may God reward our efforts. Amen. Expect the Cameroonians to come out all guns blazing and desperate in the first 20-25 minutes so we should definitely try and weather the storm by preventing that early goal which could give them confidence.

Don't expect much change in the line up except ighalo is not fit

I wasn't encouraging complacency with the post. At least they got a good result, even beyond expectations. No team is perfect in their efforts, even Real Madrid that are regarded as the best club team in the world are still yet to attain perfection, else they wouldn't be conceding goals. But their ability to continually win games despite conceding and having lapses is what makes them outstanding. The mistakes observed from the encounter will be worked upon, but it is not every time one should be pointing out flaws like worrywarts. The Cameroonians were ready for us. Their coach said in an interview prior to the match that they would be more defensive minded and play on the counter, but that was conspicuously the reserves of how the started, they attacked with all their might in order to get the first goal and demoralize the Nigerian team. Are you even forgetting that they are the reigning African champions? they defeated “big” teams on their way to the silverware and had many game experiences with some top teams in the world, you don't just expect them not to cause some threats! They could have even done worse to some of other top teams in the world.

I am all for giving the players their just due but let us not get carried away. From the outside this result makes others take notice but it doesn't automatically make us king of the hill.
