The same starting line-up starts in Yaounde, unsurprisingly
thankGod. I am also happy that the team has a solid bench that can be used to get victory on any day with the likes of Etebor, Iheanacho, Ogu, Agu, Awaziem, Aina and others. Rich bench!

I think we will win again today. In terms of quality, player for player the Cameroonians don't come close to our team. But if they didn't have issues with some of their players they could potentially field a much much stronger team. Think about the likes of

Onana - Ajax
Matip - Liverpool
Nyom - West Brom
Chedjou - İstanbul Başakşehir
Song - Rubin Kazan
Nkoulou - Torino
Bedimo - Marseille
Salli - FC Nürnberg
Tameze - OGC Nice
Mbia - Hebei China Fortune
N'Jie - Marseille

etc etc..all these guys should really be in the squad.

If they had their very best legs assembled they would have given us a game but with this squad that i saw on Friday? I say no chance. They will lose again and its their own fault mostly.

Unfortunately Solanke has caused problems for Osimhen inadvertently by taking out Divock Origi from Liverpool fc who is now at Wolfsburg on loan.

Osimhen is still essentially a youth player yet to play a season of competitive football.

The only basis for invitation is when you have proven yourself at club level. Consider Aina only a few games in the Championship and has been placed three times in the championship team of the week as best RB.

I am excited to see Nwakeme he has proven himself at club level albeit it a weak league. Nonetheless, I want to see him cut it at this level. Before we can really decide how good he is.

I didn't see it that way until you brought it up. Osimhen is really in for a big test against Origi.

For Solanke to have taken out Origi then he is rated highly.

U mean Aina has been placed three times in the Championship team of the week as best RB!? shocked grin

Woah! That's cool.

I just hope Nwakaeme is given a chance to prove himself.

@bolded.... you funny I swear.... cheesy Hahahahahahahahaha....

Well shaa.... who performs well going to the world cup definitely plus a few other factors in decision making.

For instance if Onuachu bangs in 35goals in Denmark and Kayode bangs in 20 in Spain and Ighalo bangs in 17 in China... and they are all battling for two spots... who should the coach take to the mundial? wink

So I don't think it is entirely down 100% to who scores more.... team chemistry must be taken into consideration.

And I am glad to hear you have seen a doc... abeg take your medications as at when due. Don't skip them no matter how weak you are okay... you will be fine. And come on, you are stronger than you portray here.... The Forgiveness I know is not intimated by anyone and never backs down from a fight... now apply same with this illness okay... you will be fine. Be Strong Egbon. It is well. smiley

I will choose both Kayode and Ighalo because scoring 20 goals in la Liga no bi beans and the experience of Ighalo. grin

I will choose based on the strength of the league and other factors.

Dem no dey tell person that one na. I am taking my medications wella. Thanks for your advice.

Oga dere is ntin I want to comment or say.
Rather than appreciate wat u guys are doing here.
U c before the only nigerian players I knew where only does that played in the top league.
And when I began to follow this thread it made me realise how foolish of a citizen I am.
Cos I can tell u germany, england, portugal, spain, france , italy starting 11 but I can't name my countries own.
Even the Npfl I can't tell u the names of the clubs apart from a few popular ones.
And then I realised I had just been a fool to call myself a citizen of this great country Nigeria.

So until I get it right I won't say a thing cos compared to u guys am a boy when it comes to things of Nigeria sports

CSKA Moscow's Aaron Samuel Out Of Return Leg Vs Cameroon, Leaves Camp

Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Aaron Samuel will not be involved when Nigeria tackle Cameroon at the Stade Omnisport Ahmadou Ahidjo, Yaounde in the second leg of their World Cup qualifier.

The CSKA Moscow striker was permitted by manager Gernot Rohr and his assistants to depart the Super Eagles camp in Uyo on Saturday.

Samuel, who was initially placed on the standby list for the World Cup qualifiers, received an urgent phone call to return to Europe.

The former Guangzhou R&F and Sarpsborg 08 star was named on the substitutes bench against the Indomitable Lions yesterday but did not get game time.

Unfortunately the truth must be said he was a weak link.

We need a natural left footed player with pace not a makeshift. Options

Seyi Ojo

Can Sheyi Ojo play as LB? I don't think so because he's attack minded. I think he can play as a LM but our formation requires 4 at the back.

Why Ex England Youth International Victor Moses Dumped England For Nigeria – Roberto Martinez

The talisman of the Super Eagles of Nigeria Victor Moses would have been playing for the senior national team of England and not Nigeria according to his former coach at Wigan Athletic Roberto Martinez.

Moses played over 30 times for England at various youth levels but switched allegiance to Nigeria in 2012, a move Martinez believed could have been avoided if England had called him up to their senior squad before Nigeria did.

Martinez made this known in an interview in 2012 during the reign of Fabio Capello as coach of the Three Lions of England shortly after Moses moved to Wigan from Crystal Palace for a fee in the region of £9m.

” The calls stopped coming after he represented England at U19 level, I think that made it easy for him to opt for Nigeria, the country of his birth.

“Even if you look at the great footballing cultures like Spain and Holland you see players of his (Moses) type are very rare. Victor could have been a real weapon for any team in the world. Victor is a quite unique player. When you work with him you realise he is not a normal footballer, not a typical modern winger.

“He is an old-fashioned type of winger with incredible raw talent which allows him to go past people. He brings real penetration to the wide positions.

“Teams are so well set up tactically these days that you need players who can bring something different and they don’t appear that often.” Martinez was quoted as saying in the Sunnewspaper of 2012.

Couldn't respond the other day because man was very down even till date. Thanks for your concern.

You are right on point about Solanke, in addition, he is also good in the air.

I think our qualification to the world cup should serve as an agent of luring them to play in the world cup, but if Solanke and Abraham still dream of golden era where there's none, I fear dey will prefer England.

However, this is where Pinnick has to come in to personally talk to them about the benefits of lacing for the Super Eagles.

Anyway, I hope he does well because we have a lots of players in line for the number 9 shirt this season playing in top league. grin

In LA Liga, we have Kayode and Ideye, EPL; Iheanacho(though I see him more a SS and Atm than S but where he plays this season in his club will determine where he's suited for the Super Eagles), Abraham and Solanke, Bundusliga; Osimhen, Seria A; Simeon and Sadiq, Belgium pro league; Onyekuru, Awoniyi and Olayinka, Eredivisie; Dessers, and the Chinko league; Ighalo, Martins and Ujah. grin those in other leagues are welcome provided they perform exceptionally well. grin

I hope these players all do very to give us many options to choose from. grin

Y should they be ready to play at the world cup without been ready to play the qualifiers ?

Ighalo : Referee Said He Booked Me For Thanking Jesus

Odion Ighalo said he was booked by Egyptian referee Ghead Grisha in the 30th minute of Nigeria's World Cup qualifier versus Cameroon in Uyo because he publicly displayed a religious message on his T-shirt after scoring the opening goal.

Fifa bans any unsanctioned political, religious or commercial messages on shirts, and Nigeria may be fined for running foul of the rules if the incident is included in the match report.

''He told me that the message on my shirt was about religion because it's 'thank you Jesus'," Ighalo told KweséESPN.

As a result of the yellow card, the former Watford star will automatically be suspended for one game if he gets booked in today's clash against the Indomitable Lions in Yaounde.

Chelsea wing-back Victor Moses and captain Obi Mikel are also one card away from a suspension.
