U guys are wonderfully great tru tru,being faithful to life of the windows mobile brand is worth commendation. Honestly, i will tell bill Gates abt u guys,he needs to share some dollars,employment with Microsoft, free laptops etc for u guys, u deserve it

I have a WP 8.1 Microsoft Lumia 535 Upgradable to Windows 10 Mobile. I have seen many sites claiming that when the phone is on windows 10 mobile, I can be able to play android apps on Windows 10 Mobile through a process. Ok fine it should be sweet (due to the fact that Microsoft Store infuriates me when I open it due to deficiency of apps and games) if its like that but I wanted to ask:
HAS ANYBODY HERE DONE IT BEFORE? (I.e. Play Android apps on Windows 10 Mobile and it worked perfectly fine)
IS THERE ANY RISK?
ARE THERE ERRORS THAT COULD OCCUR?
and most importantly
CAN IT BRICK THE WINDOWS PHONE INVOLVED?

I never knew there was a thread Like this on nairaland. You guys are good. People talk much mostly on other OS's like Android and Iphone and very little 'bout WP.
But i have a question: I just bumped on this thread I don't know if this matter has been treated (in case it has been please give me reference). So
I have a WP 8.1 Microsoft Lumia 535 Upgradable to Windows 10 Mobile. Never tried it, bit I did see a video on Youtube explaining how it could be done.
I won't advise it anyway so you don't brick your phone.

It looks like you on the anniversary update. Yea i am on 1703 which is the creators update.

However i don't think 535 supports creators update/

Thanks ma'am.... ... Tired of boring repetitive apps on their app store. According to where I read not all apps work after porting them to WP (most crashes) but at least some sites compiled list of apps that will work after porting and they were above 50
But are there such things as Bricked phone You know some things can't happen to windows phone (like virus attack)

I had to hard reset mine when it refused to verify my WhatsApp number, take another sim and to update my OS.

You may have to try doing that, btw you should check 'Unigram', it's a client app for telegram but way better than the native app.

Surprised you using telegram, very few people use it.

most likely "poor" network problem, happens to me sometimes. I just chill 'til whenever the phone head correct

It's not network. Even the unigram won't download. I get the same error code.

You may just have to hard reset, I waited for like two months before I did. Apps that should take like 10mb to update will go on to like 30 or 40mb and the update will break at the end of it with my battery depleted and my phone growing hot.

I don't know the actual phone model you're using but I don't experience such plus I have Cortana. I always update my phone.
My only problem with my Lumia 535 is the touch issue, of which I use screen protector always.

Lumia 535 is not a Nokia Phone. I am using Lumia 535 single sim so you see that we are using the same phone.
Another thing I forgot to even add, Microspft Edge is not a competent web browser. Sometimes when opening pages, scroling up and down the whole screen will be getting messed up (with the colours of the web pages entering each other - u cant see anything meaningful when its like that). And also it stopped Freebasics totally . At least IE was able to view Free basics. At least before your next sub u will not be completely locked out of the internet
Anyway sha maybe it is because i havent upgraded it yet to 10.0.14393.1066.
